Freshly cooked cod and chips by really friendly staff. With a five star scores on the doors rating and se sensible prices it was a great find when I needed a meal in March. The bonus was the small room beyond the counter where you can eat in. Thanks for great food and service.

Can't thank these guys enough. Turned up at 14.35 to gey food for ourselves and grandchildren. They were just closing to have their lunch. They put their lunch on hold and cooked fresh fish and chips for me and sausages and chips for the kids. They saved my day having promised the boys chips. Food good as always. Thanks guys really appreciate you.

Food cooked fresh when ordered and you can chat whilst you wait You can eat in their restaurant, or it can be delivered for a small charge or takeaway . Really nice food with the fish being absolutely lovely.

After reading many great reviews, we thought we would give them a go! We opted for the delivery option, they came within 20 minutes. They came in cardboard boxes, which stopped them from sweating. They was absolutely immense will definitely using them again. Keep up the great work.

Freshly cook cod to perfection, great chips and mushy peas, very friendly service, nothing too much trouble. Good value for money, I didn’t want a big lunch so opted for the small cod and chips and it was perfect for a lunch. Everywhere was very clean and sit in restaurant at the back

The food tonight Thurs 14th was the worst food ever. Mushy peas were like water , chicken pie was tough pastry case like it had been under the hear for a week. Not the first time of late. Disgusting all food was not good and you need to know how bad it has got!

Such friendly, courteous and welcoming people. Their tiny restaurant is the perfect place for a relaxed lunch. Food? Excellent. No wonder they're always so busy with takeout orders.

Really nice piece of Haddock. I'd also ordered 'one small cod' which actually ended up as two portions as the staff said just one wasn't up to their usual "small" standards. Well pleased. Loads of really nice chips too.

Fantastic food and service. Ordered a delivery of Haddock and chips. The haddock was cooked to perfection lovely batter and so moist and it was a huge portion of fish. Extremely tasty meal and very good delivery service with the meal still being hot.

Hands down the best ‘chippy’ in town. Beautiful fluffy white cod. Perfect batter, chips are great, as are the mushy peas and curry sauce. Won’t use anywhere else. Staff are great too. 10/10.

Very busy for a Thursday evening, which is a good sign. Ate in and had delicious fish and chips. It was full of fish with a nice thin batter. Not batter with some fish. Will certainly use again.

Great little chippy. The foundation of a good chip shop is great chips and Riverside Fish And Chips knock it out of the park. Worth a detour if you are anywhere near.

I placed a very large order on behalf of PCML, approximately 80meals, and it couldn't have gone more smoothly! We arrived at 12:30pm to collect where the Riverside had closed to the public to concentrate on our order, it was all boxed and labelled very well and they even helped us load 4 huge boxes in to the van. Everything was hot and fresh, the order was spot on and I can confirm everybody only had great words to say about their food. I would 100% recommend Riverside Fish & Chips. Thank you again!

What a treat!Just ate the most wonderful cod fish. It was moist and fresh. The mushed peas were delicious. My daughter ate the delicious hamburger. Definitely going to repeat! The staff is nice and very professional!

I live not far from this place. Took the misses and my 2 year old here for a quick meal. Very clean and decent size. Staff very friendly too, and to top it off, a lovely young lady gave us a free slice of cake each.

I've been getting my fish and chips from here every week for months now, but just recently they are unable to deliver on a Friday as they have no staff, come on guys, get your act together, everyone knows Fridays is fish and chip night. Don't make me go else where.

Greaf food, very generous with chips. We ordered by phone and the food was hot and ready for collection at the appointed time.

We have been eating here since the new owners took it over. We have tried all the others BUT always come back to the BEST. Your treated well especially through Covid and great food (try the mushy peas the BEST EVER).

Just had haddock chips mushy peas and curry sauce tonight. It was absolutely lush, curry sauce isn't for me as I prefer gravy but for a change I tried it, was to bad of taste either. The staff are so helpful when you call in and delivery, there's no complaints as the gentleman is patient and helpful. All in all the haddock was amazing the batter is to my liking as I don't like crunchy batter or hard batter, chips are nice and fluffy inside so it's a spot on from me. Keep it up 👌

What a disgrace , this place has gone downhill , phoned through an order and wanted a small cod , Chips, jumbo sausages and a regular sausage. I get back and the small fish isn’t a small fish but more like cod bites when we called and asked if there had been a mistake we was rudely told “ no that’s how it comes it the bits left over from other fish “ so I was sold left overs then The pie had been sat in the holding oven for far to long as the inside had a thick hard gravy skin on it and the chips tasted like they had been reheated

Prices had to rise a bit due to transportation costs BUT the quality has stayed right up at the top with 10/10. This Cafe REALLY tries had and I have really missed Fish and Chips whilst I was in Devon. Brilliant from Philip and Marion.

Best Fish and Chips in town since Chinese took over fish and chip shop in Dartford Road. Staff always polite and delivery service is good.

My wife said "the best fish (Haddock) she has tasted for over 2 years" I give them 10/10 for Service and commitment to their customers, staying open through the lockdowns. Brilliant and the price was very good. The Fish often is 10/10 occasionally 9/10 and you cannot ask better than that Superb.

We have used them for a few years but the last two orders we have had havnt been very good...we gave them the benifit of the doubt first order 2 weeks ago...rank chips...and had another delievery last weekend ( june 20th) but the chips were still awful...

Excellent fish & chips and adapted well when Covid started so that they could look after their customers. Deliveries, taking card payments. You can tell that quality is important to them and it shows in the great food.

Food tastes fantastic, however so far I have attempted to call this chip shop 450 + times during COVID-19 to request delivery!! So i wish they could employ more staff to answer the phone.

Just had fish & chips delivered. Not a fan of batter but ate every scrap. Fish white & flakey, batter thin and crispy chips plentiful and delivered on time and piping hot. Would thoroughly recommend and will certainly be ordering again.

Me and a friend went to this one today and I hadn’t been here since I was a child as I live in a different town/ city and we thought it was very nice yum yum as my usual Chip shop best fro curry sauce was closed 😢

Best fish and chips ever. Really lovely to be able to sit in and enjoy while hot and still crispy, from the first forkfull you can taste the fish is really fresh. The batter is very thin too and not at all greasy as in other places. Miguel and Maria are very friendly, the tables very clean and nicely laid out. Thoughly recommended.
