Lovely cafe. Had an excellent breakfast here. The host was above and beyond! If I were ever in the area, I would certainly come here. There is free 2 hour Sainsbury's parking behind the building.

Beautiful have been going here for years. They do great fresh food sunday they do lovely roast dinner. Staff friendly.

Best breakfast I've had, really good eggs and you get to choose exactly what you want. Great coffee and really good dinner options too with a great service.

Just called in during a visit to see friends, the staff were very welcoming. Cappuccino and Latte were wonderful. We had a quick lunch of burger & chips and omlette & chips, both were piping hot, and good portions too! Sunday roasts were clearly popular, the menu is extensive and fairly priced, would definately recommend! Thank you!

Just been to this little gem of a place. Dog friendly which was the main search for us. The 2 fried breakfast's we ordered were well cooked, hot and not greasy. The price was more than it said on the menu photos on google but still thought it was very good value. Will be visiting again without a second thought

Holidaying in the area, we fancied a breakfast. We came across the Barn through Google maps. It was the best breakfast I have had in a long time. Love their system of choosing exactly what you want on your plate. I lot of places force tomatoes or beans on a customer, not at The Barn Restaurant! Quality place full of local people - definitely recommend. We will making this our ‘go to’ when we are next in the area.

Breakfast here is always great, love that you pick whatever items you want and how many items. Everything is always cooked really well and served lovely and hot. Massive bonus of being able to take our dog in with us as we can stop off here while on a walk 🥰 Lavazza hot drinks too 👍

Found this gem when searching for a fry up on a Sunday at half 12. Absolutely amazing food, served really hot, no tepid beans which is common with fry ups. I'll be coming again.

Best breakfast ive had in a long time. Easy to choose items, simply put an amount in the box next to the food item on the list along with your name and give it to the waitress and they come and call your name save listing whats on your plate (there was 11 of us in our party so was alot easier to call a name than shout a list of the items) definatly will be going back

While on holiday here, we looked for a local Cafe with good reviews, the Barn came to my attention. So me and my wife decided to have breakfast here, We were so impressed with the meal, we decided to book for the Sunday Roast, it didn't disappoint, I ordered the two meat roast dinner, And my wife ordered the one meat roast dinner. Absolutely awesome. left the premises stuffed. Good value excellent staff, tables are cleaned as soon as people have left. What more could you want. I highly recommended giving them a visit.

Had 2 roast pork dinners delivered today, my first time of using and it won’t be the last. The meal was delicious and the pork melted in your mouth.

Want to thank the lovely staff at The Barn for accomodating our booking of 11 people this morning! Food was delicious and our guests wish they lived closer so they could visit every week! Amazing breakfast, pay per item, lovely staff, nice environment, seating upstairs and downstairs. Popular so booking available. My favourite place for breakfast! My first review included: Also was first time here and wasn't sure on how it worked so that would've been nice to have that explained "note down what you'd like, we'll come take your order" "pop down to till when you're ready to pay".

Staff were very friendly, I was even offered help to get up the stairs as I walk with a stick..... Service was very good, and the food was excellent!..... Definitely recommend!.....

So pleased covid didn't take away this gem of an eating place. 3 years since I was here. DOGS ARE STILL ALLOWED. Water bowl available too. Cosy, friendly & very clean. Welcoming polite, friendly, helpful, kind staff. Lovely choice of food to choose from. Value for money. Quantity & quality. Tasty home cooked food. The best milk shakes granddaughter every had (her words). Music in the air but not noisy.

My husband and myself visited for lunch on a Tuesday. We were quickly seated and our order taken. I had scampi and chips and my husband cheese and onion panini with chips. For dessert we had a syrup sponge pudding with custard and chocolate sponge with custard. We both really enjoyed our meals, especially the chips. The service was good too, I recommend The Barn :-)

Was in for breakfast today. You can book tables but we popped in on the off chance and was welcomed in, food was cooked fresh and came pretty quick after placing our order, food was great as well as the service

Great little place with very tasty food, been twice for breakfast and tried a bit of everything including bubble & squeak! For breakfast it's a set price depending on how many items you have, build your meal how you want. Staff are very helpful and provide a great service. The best place to eat in March if you want a good eat for a good price.

This is my go to Cafe for breakfast or lunch. I always go for a pick your own breakfast. 8 item breakfast, tea and can of drink came to £9 on my last visit.

Did not enjoy the long wait or pre heated food. Sorry.

A lovely restaurant and one we are happy to frequent on a regular basis. They stop taking orders at 2pm to allow them to close at 3pm.

Tried this place by pure off chance and wasn't disappointed. Was early so ordered from the breakfast menu a typical fixed price per number of items. The breakfast was tasty home cooked food and plenty of it. Bubble and Squeak particularly welcome and such good value. Waitresse was particularly helpful and friendly noticed how welcoming she was to all her customers.

Came in on Thursday morning and didn’t wanna leave! Got a breakfast and cannot explain how great it was. Coffee and Juice alongside it which were devine too. Great staff, great food, great atmosphere.

Absolutely now my new favourite place for brekkie, really tasty,good value, tasty food, friendly service with smile, will be back soon.(it's a long drive from downham market )

The food is hot and never cold and the staff is extremely polite and they try to get your food to your as quick as possible if there is a wait they apologize kevin and family recommend strongly :)

Small greasy spoon... My teenage son and I decided to try (rather than our usual haunt of Shooters) The Barn for lunch. Seems popular as it was full downstairs. Waitress was dour and unfriendly and my son's meal was poor. I had Steak (and ale?) Pie With chips. The chips were terrible, but the pie was very good. Ambience and attitude of our waitress means we won't go back.

Went for a roast today and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Have been here a few times and enjoyed the meal every time. My partner had dinkie dounuts for afters today and she loved them.

Traditional cafe serving breakfasts, roasts and pies in the main. I've only tried the breakfast so far, where you get the choice of what you want from 6+ items, really good value and good quality ingredients. One day I'll have to try a roast, or homemade pie and maybe even a pudding if I have room, but the portions are so generous, I think I'd struggle.

Nice cosy place to dine, food and service is good, my only complaint is you don’t know how much food is, you don’t get a receipt telling you how much things were just a figure to pay when settling your bill. It’s is a strange set up, as you could get caught out if your wallet or purse had limited funds, just saying 🤔 no menu on the table, just a blunt pencil to tick items to order, all in all a bit hit and mis.

Its nice to go to the barn. The food good, service good. We had a lovely cheesecake there and you can have a breakfast meal choosing your favourite items from a long list of choices.

Best breakfast in March would recommend

Looking for lunch whist spending a few hours in March I was having difficulty in finding anywhere suitable. I saw this restaurant and in all honesty it looked closed and not terribly inviting. I went in and over half the chairs were stacked on tabes, but the young lady waitress assured me they were open. The menu was extensive and not at all expensive. When I asked her, she assured me that everything except the soup was freshly home made on the premises. I ordered cottage pie and afterwards bread and butter pudding. My goodness, what grub. The tastiest and best made local food I've eaten in an age. It knocked pub grub for 6. Very generous portions and just the tastiest and best made lunch ever. If only this place could transport to a more glamorous location, or if they could afford to invest in the decor they would be worth a fortune. Great service as well. Well, worth a visit
