We had a great meal here last week, all the food was delicious and beautifully prepared. The decor is perfect and the service from Cloe was polite and highly professional. If you want a high quality meal in Bideford, we would highly recommend, especially as for what you experience, the pricing is spot on.
Staying overnight in Crawley, we were craving a substantial breakfast and while I often struggle to find something vegan, my partner was more than happy to go meat-free this time. The only other vegan venue in town has moved over to burgers and poke bowls but Sage offers a Full Vegan breakfast and that's exactly what we wanted!
The food is delicious (I personally loved the scrambled tofu) and not a bad price nowadays - £12.95 for the aforementioned scrambled tofu, mushrooms, beans, tomato, hash browns, sausages, and sourdough toast. Another couple of quid and you can have 2 rashers of vegan bacon (which, of course, I did!). The menu also offers various light bites and more filling plates. I'm already planning to drop in on my next way through Crawley, just to try out their mixed kebab grill. And yes, everything is still plant-based!
There's a good range of coffees with a couple of specialities (I opted for the Matcha Latte) and a selection of non-dairy milks such as oat, coconut, and soya. Also juices, soft drinks, etc.
The venue is nicely decorated in a clean and modern style - there's wood panelling offset by crafty back boards and large shaded lights arching over each table. It has a relaxed and inviting feel to it, backed up by the service, which was friendly and welcoming. It's always nice to have a light-hearted conversation that doesn't feel forced, and this place has that natural charm throughout.
In short, this is now one of my favourite vegan cafés, especially being one that caters for us herbivores as well as any flexitarian friends that may want to join us. Situated along the southern end of the historic High Street, it's also a convenient location, so the best of all worlds!
Authentic pierogi with a selection of meat and veggie fillings. My favorite was the sauerkraut and mushroom. Cash only! A lovely small space with friendly hosts. 🥟
What a find!! Can not recommend this Tea Room highly enough. We’ve had lots of cream teas over the years, but Bramdowns is the best ever. The homemade scones were amazing. The service was first class and so friendly. The decor and the crockery are lovely, also with the music in the background you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Thoroughly enjoyed it, so much more than just a cream tea. Long May you continue, Ladies. Next time we’re passing by Porlock, Bramdowns, is a definite stop off.
Booked Leonnie and Neil as a private chef experience at a local Airbnb we hired for 12 guests at 60th birthday party. Food was fantastic, well presented and the flavours were amasing, it was a brilliant evening that I would recommend them if you wanted a relaxed special event
Thanks again to the both of you from all my family
Had a full English breakfast it came well presented, hot and appetising, fresh coffee, home made cakes made by the owner, seating out front and back in lovely courtyard, everyone welcome, dogs allowed.
Local honey sold there and jams really good selection.
Can't wait to go back.
Staff were so friendly and welcoming thank you.
What a beautiful tea room set in a covered little courtyard. We discovered this place after reading amazing reviews. The scones are home made and absolutely delicious with a fresh filtered coffee. Although slightly hidden away, it is well worth a drive for afternoon tea
We visited this restaurant for lunch today while on a one day visit to Fraserburgh. The service was excellent and the food did not disappoint. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the area.
Excellent cafe, very nice staff and had a great breakfast , extensive menu, food well cooked and delivered in good time , cakes look nice too , large menu
had previously given a good review as when we'd been before it was lovely but our last visit was disappointing. there was only a few people in and our food took forever even though we only ordered 2 pizzas and a garlic bread.
the bread took so long we ended up asking for it to go.. eventually after an hour after finishing the pizza we had to leave as our parking was expiring.. we realised the garlic bread was sitting on the counter in a takeaway box but nobody had given it to us. wonder how long it sat there! proper weird
a shame as pizzas used to be great but this time, it wasn't worth it at all :(
Great spot and delicious food, mackerel bap, falafel wrap, fish and chips, ice cream, delicious coffee, cannot fault this place and will be back in the summer. A great location and friendly staff.
We went with friends for a Sunday roast dinner and we weren’t disappointed the food was excellent the staff were very attentive and friendly. We will be booking again very soon
