Woodlands Edge in Thurrock

This is a venue that I have enjoyed visiting and being involved with, however the service during my last visit was shocking. I got a completely different meal that was ordered. The meals were not what was listed or lacking. And as you will see by the attached pictures, out tables were not cleared until asked to. Very disappointed. And also had issues with booking via the website as it started all timings were not available, what has happened to this place???

Great food always, served with a smile even though the hot weather the staff still soldiered on through!! Great venue for sport drinks and a Sunday session!! Cheers All!

Had a lovely visit to the Woodlands edge with my son for mothers day. Had a lovely meal, and it was good value for money, and staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely warm reception to the pub from the amazing Janet, Shane used his cheffing prowess to produce an absolute delight of a burger and some gammon, the price was so low for the quality of food and we will be certainly making this a weekly trip thanks Janet and Shane see you soon.

Where to begin... absolutely wonderful service, food and friendly community atmosphere. Visited with my 85 year old nan, great disability access and facilities. The staff were very accomadating and friendly. Left with bellies full and smile on our faces. Food quality superb and will definitely be a returning customer. I came here for Christmas Dinner this year, we've never ate out for Christmas Dinner and was abit skeptical about it, but I had a great time! We all really enjoyed the food the atmosphere was lovely the service was great from everyone working.and we're talking about going again next year!

We decided to have Christmas Dinner out this year, and cannot tell you how glad I was we went to The Woodlands Edge, The 3 course Dinner was delicious, The main course was so generous and tasty, Our table was festively decorated and the atmosphere was great. I cannot fault the service which was fast , friendly and efficient and the staff are beyond friendly, We all had a fantastic time thanks to them and will definitely be going back

Amazing! Can't say enough of how organised this pub is and how friendly the staff are. I've been there so so many times and it never disappoints. The food has always been good and there's even entertainments karaoke, live bands and bingo sessions. It's nice to have somewhere to go on a Saturday night for a good drink and chat. Staff I have met are Kelly (Manager), Kelly, Janet, Karis, Rianne, Gemma, Michelle, Gary and Mark. They are all sooo welcoming and nice to talk to and laugh with. I only know two names I've heard for kitchen staff which is Gordon and Shane. The food is always good.

We were a table of 8. Adam at bar was fantastic very quick services and my us feel so welcome. As most of had double burgers and a lot of different topping food come out hot and no mistake well gone to the chef. Well enjoyable evening had by us all.

My husband and I often come for lunch here and have been for years now as it’s our local and we absolutely love it , the food is fantastic and the staff are just so lovely , they make you feel more then welcome and relaxed . Today we decided to bring my husbands mum and partner as they have been wanting to eat here after hearing us rant on about how lovely it is …….. well once again the staff and chefs did not disappoint, our chef today was Gordon who cooked us an amazing lunch , it really was fantastic and our server was Janet who as always was bubbly, attentive and so welcoming . We all had a lovely afternoon and are already looking forward to coming back again. Thank you to all of the staff , we shall miss our little local when we move but we will be sure to visit as often as we can

Actually found this place by accident but so glad we did. family and I had a lovely experience. Our serving Ashlie was funny and friendly. She had a good knowledge of the food and drinks on offer. Love this pub it's full of locals and has a friendly atmosphere. There are events such as a bingo night and a pub quiz night it has a pool table and shows sports events on a large TV screen, there is a sit-down area for meals and the food is generally good.

Came in to the woodlands on a Thursday night to have a cheeky drink an a bite too eat. Soon as we walked in we was greeted by the lovely dave who sitted as quick as lightning and explained how to order our good an drinks. We was then served at the bar by Karis who made our drinks quick and had a good knowledge of all the drinks available we also ordered food that was AMAZING thanks to the chef Gordon who cooked it too perfection! Also had kelly on the mic running a quiz (which we was too late to join) but still had fun listening in on it.All in all we will definitely be returning and hopefully in time for the quiz next time. Thanks to everyone working as u made our night!

Me, my partner and daughter have been coming here for weeks now. It’s always amazing service with very friendly staff. The food is great and so are the drinks 🥴 Very friendly family pub. We look forward to coming here at least once a week.

We booked a table for bank holiday Monday with a large group of our family and friends (15+). When we arrived, the table was ready for us and we were greeted by the very friendly staff. As you can imagine, it was pretty chaotic with the amount of us! We had quite a lot of children with us too! The staff took our food and drink orders and all came to the table with no problems at all! The chef (I believe his name was Gordon!) got the meals out super quick, all of which were very tasty! The drinks were flowing nicely and we all played the quiz which was also a lot of fun! All in all, this was a great night at a lovely pub with really nice staff. Visited the woodlands last night to watch West Ham play with my family. Lovely atmosphere, an online quiz in the restaurant area for those who don’t care about football and the staff were lovely, Kelly and Michelle were an excellent team working together and very friendly. Good portion size on the chicken nugs too, all in all would definitely recommend this place. Food is super good

Visited during pandemic, safety was top priority. They had a one way system, plenty of sanitiser and an overall 'safe' atmosphere. There was always a member of staff cleaning and it was strictly table service with the option of ordering on the app. Food was lovely, freshly cooked and hot. Although busy, they didn't leave us waiting long. Will visit again.

I’ve had better experiences to be honest. Great food if only I had a chance to finish it. Dave took my plate before I had even finished. I had to ask a different member of staff for plates for a sharing platter and cutlery and condiments. I had an elbow in the head because he is so close as he walks past, he also stretches across the front of you over your food to take empty glasses from the table when you are eating! Not an experience I will repeat in a hurry!

I visited the woodlands edge this afternoon at 4:00pm with family. Service was absolutely outstanding, the bar staff was friendly and welcoming. We was served by an older gentleman called Dave, he was polite kind and very attentive, he was also run off his feet severing clearing tables and attending to other customers, whist he was basically running the food sector the other member of staff a young lad called Zak was hanging around sitting down a lot and constantly on his phone. I found this very unfair to Dave as he was absolutely run off his feet. Dave is an absolute credit to your establishment, I wanted to make you aware of this as don’t want his hard work and politeness to go unnoticed. Maybe you could put someone on shift with him that can keep up to his speed and level of service kind regards Jodi

With just visiting the area for the day we found the Woodlands Edge just by chance driving around looking for somewhere to eat. We were blown away from how welcoming, friendly staff who were Dave, Jan and Jenna made us all feel. Food and drinks are absolutely value for money and worth every penny!
