Inn on the Green in Thurrock

We were driving through the area and needed to eat so stopped by. Food was delicious and beyond our expectations, staff were lovely and atmosphere was great. Ended up staying all afternoon and watching the football.

Ruby was so friendly and always checked to see if we were all okay

First time been here. Lovely place, delicious foods, unbeatable prices, friendly staffs and dog friendly too!! Highly recommended here, definitely will come back!!

The food was lovely, presented well and came out quick. Very nice atmosphere and a good pub to go and eat food and drink.

Best local. Fish, chips and curry sauce is banging. Staff are fantastic, especially Jordanne. So efficient and always up for a laugh. Wouldn’t recommend anywhere else. Also shout out to Allison, the manager. Absolutely changed the game.

I’ve been coming here for over 2 years now and at no point have I been given a parking fine until recently. Checked online to see if maybe I was wrong and there was now a charge and all I found was that it is meant to be free. £100 down the drain. Since when did this become a thing? Disappointed and annoyed.

I had a Steak and Ale pie and it was lovely. The bar staff were so attentive, and helpful. Will definitely be back to try the new menu.

Always have a great time at the inn, food, service and drinks are always top notch, especially jaz who served us on our last visit.

Lovely warm welcome in a pub that is clearly community orientated with a great atmosphere. Wanted a light lunch and the toasted cheese sandwich with salad was delicious.

Been a couple of months since I was last in the Inn on the green. Was busier than usual but found a seat and food followed very quickly. Staff are absolutely amazing and checked on us regularly 👍 Won’t leave it as long the next time 100% recommend

Normally a pretty good pub, put new cameras in the car park, got a fine through. No help whatsoever because I spent cash. Plenty of other pubs have waved this for me, but not here. £100 fine down before I've had a sip.

I come into this pub often and always have a lovely time. The staff are lovely and the food is amazing. They host karaoke and quiz night’s with a DJ on a Friday and Saturday. Friendly Atmosphere with lot’s to look forward to.

Walked today, no one told me that I’m not allowed to go outside for a smoke, no one told me that if you walking outside for a smoke, the door is shut and you’re not allowed to come inside anymore. All my stuff was inside, doors shut, I’ve spent 40 minutes outside on cold trying to call my friends, music basically was so loud so they didn’t hear my calls and bless this people who’s been leaving and I “sneak out”. But then door man aggressively grabbed me and told me to leave. I’ve never experienced such an abuse before. I’ve tried to explain that I’m just trying to get my stuff and I don’t want any trouble and this aggression not appreciated and what’s actually the problem if I’m just trying to get my purse, money and documents inside that purse.First and the last time I was there. Hope that no one gonna have the same experience that I’ve had.

enjoyed a lovely afternoon in the Inn yesterday. Had the pulled mushroom and rice which was delicious and my daughter had the vegan nuggets. Both very tasty and piping hot. Bar staff very accommodating and polite. definitely recommend

Some of the worst draught beers I've ever tasted coming out of the pumps! Disgrace. Food is deep fried run of the mill and careless Staff are plentiful and that's it.

It has become a far better pub since the “old school” landlady has taken over. Her and her lovely team always make you feel welcome. 10/10

Popped in to try the new Christmas menu. Wasn’t disappointed. The turkey pops are fantastic with the cranberry sauce and breadcrumbs…was a big fan of the pigs in blankets too. Definitely worth popping in folks.

Visited Inn on the green today for lunch with my partner. It was quite busy but the barmaid was brilliant. Very accommodating. We ordered some small plates for starters which were delicious then went on to have cheese and bacon burger and the chicken salad. Compliments to the chef. It was amazing. Looking forward to my next visit

Friendly local, good for sports (4 TV screens) with a pool table, nice pub grub at reasonable prices, garden always looks lovely with all the flowers. Gets very busy on a Friday and Saturday night with DJs playing from 9pm. Would definitely recommend!

Good place for a bite to eat with friends. Food reasonably priced, comes out nice and hot and well presented. Staff check back regularly to make sure everything is ok. Can be really busy at times....usually when theres football on, but the staff work hard to make sure you are catered for. Vegan options also available, big plus!!! Staff really friendly, definitely worth a visit.

Great beer, very quick and kind service from the bartenders, kitchen closes earlier than I am used to in the states. Both times I have come they have closed a portion of the seating to open up a dance floor with a DJ and the music has been phenomenal both before and after. Usually see a good crowd of people come through here. All around a good spot to stop by!

Had lunch in the partly covered garden on a glorious hot day. Very friendly service and we liked thier small sharing plates (tapas) either 3 or 5 plates for a very reasonable price. The food was very tasty and 5 plates were plenty for 3 of us. Very pleasant garden area with plenty of flowers.

One young girl, dont know her name was very quick and decent. But yesterday at around 9 ish there was a lady a blonde lady around all the girls from the bar which was serving. I've approched her and ask her kindly another morretti a pint as the young girl was busy, she said yes and guess what another 4-5 lads came to the bar order it with this blonde lady with glasses and she quickly served them and ignoring me. You shouldn't be in a bar my dear. You disrespected me big time and what is worse she acting like was everything ok with that. You're a joke

Valentines dinner ! What a mess! Didn't hardly have anything on there menu! My boyfriend had to order something else! Sitting with our coats on ! As was cold Had no heating on! And when dinner came up it was warm and served in what looked like a dogs bowl ! Thanks for a unhappy Valentines day , wish we had gone somewhere else ! Never going there again

Visited for lunch with the family. The menu had some great share options and a good kids menu. Good service from the staff. Looking forward to going back soon.

Only given this 3 stars as the drinks are very pricey. Was in the beer garden as a smoker with work colleagues. Haven't tried the food as that's just as pricey.

Rubbish dinner burnt carrots over cooked Yorkshire. No greens although advertised bland roast. Husband chicken overcooked and tough. Coleslaw had a very funny taste. We used to eat there quite a bit but no more, we booked and was told just sit anywhere but tables not cleared so had to wait. No cutlery food delivered and we had to chase while dinner was sitting on table.

OK, food is nice, glass washer needs a good service.

Went here for the first time for my partner's birthday. The place itself is lovely and the staff are really nice, but unfortunately the food was unbelievably disappointing. My salt-beef burger was dry and overcooked, the salad with my partner's sandwich was wilted and not fresh, the bread on the sandwiches was hard and extremely dry, the carrot sticks my 3yo daughter had were literally white, they were so dry, shriveled and old as if they'd been out for days, and the cucumber wasn't much better. We did raise this and we were promptly brought fresh carrot sticks, which raised the question of why we weren't given fresh carrot to begin with? Like I said the staff were very lovely and I'd come here again for a drink, but we definitely won't be eating here again.

Quiz night on Tuesday night! Good banter with the DJ and plenty of prizes and drinks to be won! Best Tuesday night out for a long time!!

The place is nice but we wait 1 hour and a half for our meal and we ordered sandwiches. We complained many times and they didn’t care at all. At the moment we left one of ours friend never had her food and the refund only that meal. They never apologise to us for the situation

Not a great visit 1st time. A wake was going on, got very out of hand, with a fight breaking out onto the road, the language was dreadful. So will not be revisiting.
