The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Seafood food

We have come to Cornwall for a seafood eating weekend, and this was our first restaurant, then Argue, Newlyn and hook on the rocks, Falmouth. We were not disappointed. Delicious food. Lovely evening.

Had another fabulous meal here today. Cooked to absolute perfection. We had the lunchtime special that is amazing value. Our server was great too ! 10/10 all round ❤️

Best fish ans chips i've ever had. We have the Trio which was scallops and a few fillets of different fish and chips. It was so fresh and beatifully cooked. It's so great to have fish and chips rhat's not covered in batter!

Firstly an apology to Waz, I'm sorry that it has taken me so long to write a review for your bistro, and more over I'm sorry the adventure has ended; albeit a new one is now in motion. I came here at the request of a good friend of mine, and fellow food blogger back in December 2022. I was told that the chef knew his stuff, and that the food was very reminiscent of the street food cafes we had visited during our time in Morocco, and Southern France; my friend wasn't wrong. I ordered a starter of Calamari Fritters, served with a Garlic & Saffron Mayo, for the main a Roasted Quail accompanied by dauphinoise potatoes and a fig sauce, and for dessert my go to Christmas Pudding. My first impression of Waz's Bistro is that its a tidy affair, on par with some of the smaller bistros you would normally encounter in the city. The staff although young, were attentive, and if they were unsure would ask the kitchen. The wine list was hit and miss; so I stuck to dealers choice and ordered a cocktail. The starter arrived around the fifteen minute mark from order, not withstanding the location; wasn't to bad of a ticket time. The Calamari Fritters were crispy on the outside, and the Calamari succulent when chewed. The mayo added a nice bite as the garlic added a subtle dimension, the saffron was perfectly measured, and like the garlic added an extra dimension to the dish. The main course was roughly ten minutes from when the young chap took my entre plate away, again ticket times are clearly a priority to the chef. The Quail was unfortunately a bit drier than what I would have normally liked, but still ticked all the boxes regarding taste and presentation. The potatoes were just that, nothing abusive to the taste buds, nor offensive to the eye. The Fig Sauce though was something to behold, perfectly balanced, and complimented the quail beautifully; bravo Chef, Bravo! Now to the disappointment. After my plate was taken away, I was left for roughly twenty minutes before what in my eyes was a travesty. The Christmas Pudding was undercooked, and even though it was perfectly fruited, it was a trudge to eat it. The bill was thirty-five pounds excluding the cocktail, and to be honest that's cheap considering other Bistros. It was overall a great night out So how do I rate Waz? More so now that he's closed his doors. I believe a nod of respect to his talent, and acknowledgment of all he did for the industry in Bromsgrove is a good place to start Bon Chance Waz.

Never have I ever gone into a nicer place, the workers were all lovely and it had a brilliant atmosphere, the food is always warm and fresh and the flavours are different to any other place,I highly recommend. You also get so much selection and the amount of food you get is generous.

I had a lovely brownie yesterday with my family. On top of that, we were served by two adorable, smiley girls who made the experience that much better. I highly recommend to anyone in the area :)

Food was really good…… Just read that chef Lee Holland passed away in November and the restaurant has now closed. May he rest in Peace.

This place, for me, is by far the BEST little restaurant in Ludlow. I'm a tricky customer having spent 40 years working in high end catering establishments and I don't think I have ever come across such caring and considerate customer focused hosts. From accommodating our reservation, parking the wheelchair somewhere safe, offering to order in sourdough especially for my dietary needs, to serving up the most incredible, mouth watering, freshest seafood plater and oysters I've had in YEARS! Bravo! I will 100% be returning and introducing all my friends to this little piece of seafood heaven. My only feedback to an other wise awesome lunch would be, if they could find a way to do air-fried French fries and serve hollandaise sauce (even a good bottled version) id be carving a 6th star out for them. Thank you for making a small birthday lunch so memorable.

Mussels had very flavorful sauce as did the lemon sole but wished it was filleted at table Food came out in timely fashion

I have visited many fish and chip shops across the UK, from Aberdeen to Southend via Blackpool and many places in between. Fish Out serve just about the best fish and chips I have ever had. The chips were cooked to perfection. The fish was wonderfully fresh and coated in an excellent light batter. Service was great, the two guys running the place were friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place and will certainly visit again when next in the area.

Absolutely the best fish and chips in this area. Ig is a real treat and the service is always very friendly and professional.

First day popped it at 3.50pm, ordered coffee and cake, told to take a seat, items duly brought to table. Then someone from behind the serving area literally shouted at a group of older ladies that they needed to leave as "we are closing in exactly 5 minutes". I caught the waiters eye and mentioned he had just served me, the same disembodied voice "we close at 4pm sharp". 2 days later at 2.10pm I dropped in for a sandwich, took a seat, looked the menu, went to order to be told "kitchen is closed" I mentioned that it states food served till 2.30pm, "served yes but it needs to be made first so we stop taking order around 2.15pm". Maybe the food is good but I have yet to try it. Staff need some lessons in customer care, speaking to some locals it appears they are well know for the lack of customer service.

I second all 5 star reviews here and will make it short: investing in this stay was absolutely worth the money. The rooms are exceptional, the staff is authentic and very friendly and the food (breakfast & dinner) is delicious and made with fresh, local ingredients.

Great food, freshly prepared and served by a super friendly team.

Friendly welcoming couple and really nice fish and chips enjoyed them would definitely recommend them if ever over that way
