Lovely family meal at the whilst attending the Mevagissey Shanty Festival by two South Africans!

Visited this on 9th September with my friends. Excellent service and great fish! Lovely lady served us.

Lovely battered haddock and chips, nice batter and not oily. The trio of fish was cooked spot on! Really friendly and well worth a visit

We had seen reviews and wanted to try this place when we visited Mevagissey this year. The trio of fish was a good size portion (2 scallops, and 2 fillets of fish; £15) and could be had with chips or bread and salad. The kids fish and chips (£6) was also brilliant value - 2 battered fillets of whiting and chips! 20p per pot of ketchup felt a little pricey when spending £40 on food - I think sauces should be included. We were initially overcharged by £8, but this was addressed quickly when we realised the error and returned later on to question it. Would recommend.

We stopped here for lunch on the Harbourside in Mevagissey and were really glad we did! We ordered the fish and chips. Firstly the fish is haddock and the freshest, tastiest fish in the lightest batter. The chips which can sometimes be disappointing were equally as tasty. Good fish and chips is so rare these days. Treat yourselves and check out this fantastic place.

No other place in the town offering calamari. How lucky were we to spot it at this fab take away on the harbour. Lovely portions and great calamari.

This modern fish shack on the quay is excellent. Very friendly service and delicious fresh fish. If visiting Mevagissey this is the place to go to. Unbeatable.

I actually live in meva and this is the first time I’ve tried this place. STUNNING 😘🤌🏻 Gorgeous fresh haddock that melted in my mouth and a light, crispy batter to die for. This is our new favourite in the village. Absolutely beautiful.

This lovely lady was brilliant! She even cooked our mackerel we had just caught on a fishing trip. It was delicious, and her chips made it perfect!!! Thank you again! Would definitely return! :)

Went out today and caught some mackerel and asked on the off chance of they could cook them up for us and she did , food tasted amazing give us tips on how to cook them .was amazing to go out and catch the fish and then have them cooked up fresh on the habour .

Felt so lucky to have found this business on the harbour. Thought maybe it wouldn’t be that good given the amazing location but how wrong I was! Kids meals were amazing value and our fish trio was an unexpected treat. The chips were skin in fries rather than chip shop chips which suited us perfectly, the scallops, sardines, mackerel and the South African sausage sounded great and I wanted to go back again if we’d had more time!

The best fish around (especially the freshly caught Mackerel) and absolutely lovely staff too. So good that we went back every day!

Don't go anywhere else! This is the best fish and chips anywhere, even better than a Michelin star restaurant. Beautiful fresh fish, gorgeous crispy batter and chips to die for.

We had just got off the Ferry from Fowey and stumbled into feast week here, we hadn't realized feast week was on but took the opportunity to try the scallops from here. We both had them with salad and bread and they were beautiful, fresh scallops perfectly cooked and reasonably priced. Thank you

We were in the harbour and thought that we would give The Fish Grill & More a try. We opted for the scallops which were cooked to order so there was a very short wait. The scallops were absolutly melt in your mouth sensational & worth every penny. They were direct from a boat in the harbour only feet away & couldn't have been fresher.

Great fish served from the harbour side. Had a trio and it was hot , freshly cooked and delicious. The short queue for food was well worth it.

Very nice fish, but disappointed to see that scourge of the gastro-pub and hipster bistro, skin on fries, appearing in a chippy. Peel your spuds!

Fantastic seafood. The trio of fish (which we had on two night - scallops, mackerel and sardines one night, scallops, mackerel and haddock the other) was delicious and almost ludicrously good value.

Lovely service and great food. The fish and chips are delicious and the scallops with salad are really nice too. Nice to eat overlooking the harbour but watch out for the seagulls.

Some of the best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time and endorsed by none other than Rick Stein himself! The fish was so fresh and tasted as if it had come straight from the boat, with batter that was so crisp and no sign of grease anywhere. I loved the sound of the trio of fish but, unfortunately, I didn’t pay attention when I ordered and only saw the trio of fish afterwards. I was particularly disappointed because I saw that scallops, my all-time favourite shellfish, were on the menu. The Fish Grill really is a seafood lover’s paradise for humans and birds alike, since there were a number of seagulls around, hovering in the hope of being able to swoop and snatch a bit of fish or the odd chip. Not a chance!

this is the best fish and chips ever. not greasy at all crisp batter and chips. the trio of fish is griddled and was so fresh and tasty. had missed this van before as it always closed middle of September but new owner staying open into middle of October. highly recommend this van.

Best fish and chips in Mevagissey!

Eaten here a few times whilst on our stay in meva. Food always tasty and freshly cooked. Lovely friendly lady running it too. Definitely try if your in Mevagissey!!

Wow, the mackerel here is good - done on a griddle & so fresh I've never had as good for years. Two smallish fish, filleted, so decent value. My husband's haddock was equally good & the owners so friendly. A real find.

Quite simply the most fantastic haddock & chips ever had along with sausage & chips. Large portions. And thanks Nicky for all your help especially the well done perfect chips.

Two haddock and chips, really nice fresh tasting fish , crisp batter and chips, not swimming in fat. Served in card cartons with wooden fork, so no impact on environment Generous portions and good value for the £10 each

Came on Monday 11 Sept, was due to open at 12.30, waited until 13.15 still no sign of life, so went to the Fisherman's which was excellent. Vendor next door said they would be open. Shame as you must miss out on all the lunchtime trade.

Wow what a great place!! The queues speak for themselves but it's honestly worth the wait! My partner said it was the best mackerel and chips he's ever had! Great portions, friendly staff and we will definitely be back next time we are in Mevagissey.

During our trip to the charming Cornish village of Mevagissey, we stopped by the Fish Grill. The Mackerel Bap was a delightful treat. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

If you go to Mevagissey you have to get some lunch here. It’s amazing! Saw it on Rick Stein’s Cornwall and wanted to try it ever since. We were down this way earlier in the year and unfortunately it wasn’t open but it was worth the wait. Eaten here twice this week and would highly recommend the trio of fish👌👌lovely people too.

Saw this place on Rick Steins Cornwall series and thought i would try it out on our recent visit. I was totally stunned by how amazing this place really is. We had the trio of fish, mackrel and scallops with salad. The food is gorgeous. Perfectly cooked every time. The portion sizes are huge and the flavours are out of this world. The people running the place are super friendly and always very helpful. I cant recommend this place highly enough. One of cornwalls best gems All i can say is a massive thank you to the fish grill GIVE IT A TRY!

Always visit here when we are down and this time we noticed an ice cream van after we had already bought the kids ice creams, the owner was happy to show us how incredible his ice cream was , the youngest ditched her ice cream and we bought a clotted cream from here ! The dog ice cream was also a hit I had a trio of fish !!! It’s the most amazing food and the rain didn’t affect anything….best fish and food and now ice creams

Excellent, really fresh and tasty. I had the Trio of Fish which was superb really fresh and the scallops were melt in the mouth. Much better than traditional fried battered fish which is too oily for me. Run by really friendly people also.

Absolutely incredible food. Really fresh (caught earlier that morning I believe) fish and scallops. Tasty, decent portion sizes and good value for money. Might have to drive back just for another visit.

This is a must do for all visitors to the working harbour, where the fish you eat is landed by the local boats. Can’t beat sitting, eating your delicious food on the dockside and if you’re lucky a seal will swim in.

Wonderful fresh mackerel and chips. One of the best meals I had in Cornwall. Chips were mediocre but mackerel made up for it. Reasonable price - £10 for mackerel and chips.

I had never had cooked mackerel off the griddle before and the owner kindly cooked me some before I bought it. I have to say the best fish I have ever eaten, cooked straight from the sea onto the griddle. Lovely bloke, sorry I can’t remember your name. Delicious fresh food, fantastic service! Scallops were cooked to perfection with a fresh salad and bread for the grown ups and the kids were delighted with sausage and chips. Perfect for all the family! Great spot in the harbour, a must try for anyone who likes their seafood!

Utterly delicious. I had the fish trio which isn’t the kids of thing I would normally order but I enjoyed it so much more than a traditional fish and chips. The staff were friendly and I was glad not to queue for the other fish and chip shop in town. Delicious. Sat at the harbour to eat and the atmosphere was lovely. The town seems to have a thing against bins meaning I had to carry the rubbish around for ages, but that’s got nothing to do with this organisation or the food.

Best fresh fish ever. I love my mackerel but this is next level mackerel. My fella had the trio of fish he said it was delicious. Great banter lovely folk in a fabulous setting 10/10

Food truck on the port. Magnificent fish trio caught on a harbor bank in the sun. Scallops and mackerel grilled to perfection with a crunchy salad and some fries! Delicious! We recommend.

Honestly the best cooked fish I've ever eaten. Had the trio of fish with salad and bread. Ate it on a bench nearby looking out over the harbour. Saw it on Rick Stein's Cornwall and he wasn't wrong, it is so good! Highly recommend.

Have been trying to get here for a couple of years after hearing some great things about it. Luckily we got there just as it opened, as it can get busy and as all food is cooked to order you can end up waiting for a while. We had the trio of fish (scollops, mackerel and whiting) with chips and the kids had the sausage and chips. All meals were superb and you get a lot for the money. If you like fresh grilled seafood this place is perfect. The only let down is lack of places to sit (not a fault of the Fish Grill & More though). Oh, and mind the seagulls!

Don’t trust the timetable on Google maps: we tried to eat there twice within 3 days and had no success - it was closed on Thursday at 7pm and on Saturday at 2pm

Food was absolutely delicious. The nice lady on the kiosk heroically managed to rescue my £5 note which had blown into the harbour.

Thought I’d try the independent local rather than the main chip shop , owner was reluctant to sell me just chips as he usually sells them with meals but he agreed , unfortunately I wish I hadn’t bothered , most awful £5 purchase Basic frozen style chips , which were hard and still raw in places Returned them - didn’t bother to speak to him Got gorgeous fresh ones from the chippy

Absolutely fantastic, we visited on Tuesday, we both had the trio, truly the best fish and chips including scallops we've had for a very long time. Even though we were very full, still had ice-cream from the kiosk next to it (same family), the ice-cream was also fantastic. Nb: To the owners, please list yourself on googlemaps.

I saved this spot during my rigorous Cornwall foodie research due to all the rave reviews and it did not disappoint! Me and my bf opted for the trio of fish which was absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. We both loved the mackerel the most and could have devoured endless amounts. The scallops and white fish were also delicious, as were the chips and the fresh salad. A real highlight meal of our trip, we'll definitely be back next time we're in Cornwall!

Could not recommend this little business more highly. We had the trio of fish (mackerel, haddock & 2 huge scallops) which was sublimely delicious. Freshly caught & cooked, We even saw the boat that caught the fish. The young lad cooking is an excellent chef, both fish & chips were perfect.

Service with a cheeky smile! I saved this location to visit before I went to Cornwall for my holiday based on other reviews. The food was lovely and i particularly enjoyed the scallops in my Trio of Fish. Didn’t wait long for food and got to eat sitting watching everyone round the harbour. These came to £21 in total which if you look at the other eateries in the area, it’s worth it!

I really enjoyed a Trio of fish that was cooked on a griddle in front of me. Thank You Fish Grill… Those of you holidaying on a budget, the kids meals are fantastic value

Absolutely delicious fish and chips! The batter on the haddock was light and crispy and the haddock was really fresh. Chips were excellent too. Finished off with a scrummy ice cream from their sister stall next door. Would highly recommend 😃

Tasty, well priced, as fresh as you could ask for. My mackerel bap was bursting with fat, juicy mackerel and it made me want to move to Cornwall just to be able to eat it whenever I wanted

Stopped here for lunch last week having seen good reviews. Between the three of us we ordered 3 different dishes. My husband had the mackerel bap, which he reported to be delicious, my son had mackerel and chips, which he loved. I went for the trio of fish which included two different fish(mackerel and something else - both delicious) and two scallops - so so tasty. I opted for the bread and salad instead of chips. Totally scrumptious! Top restaurant quality. It is was all cooked fresh to order, couldn't be fresher. It's not battered (although I think they do offer this) it is grilled and it is perfect! The salad was a lovely mixed leaf with halved cherry tomatoes and a delicious dressing with tasty bread. Customer service, fantastic. If we ever find ourselves in Mevagissey again, we will definitely be back for more!!

We went last Sunday with my partner and had an amazing mix of fresh fish and chips. So delicious! And the people there is lovely. 100% recommended.
