If you enjoy top notch food and you’re anywhere near St Ives, then you really have to come here. We discovered One Fish Street a few years ago when we booked for my wife’s birthday. We live 400 miles away in Lytham but visit St Ives once or twice a year - and we now come to One Fish Street every time. We ate there earlier this evening - 9 courses of absolute heaven in a lovely intimate atmosphere but where you can talk to the chef himself as he prepares the food in front of you. We’ve eaten in some lovely restaurants - including Michelin starred places. One Fish Street is right up there with the best of them. Sensational!

Booked the tasting menu for my partners birthday and it was such an amazing experience all round. We were running late as we drove from Plymouth and had some stress getting there but they were absolutely fine about it and caught us up with the dishes perfectly. Can’t wait to return!

The room whilst being very small was nevertheless very noisy. Our experience was totally spoiled by the chef having long and very loud conversations with people at the bar with much irritating loud laughter. We went for a special quiet evening to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food was indifferent, excepting the fresh oysters. Overall the food was poor and overpriced, in comparison with our previous visit to the original One Fish Street restaurant. Overhearing the loud conversation we learned that the owner / chef was overseas and his brother we believe was standing in.

Faultless on every level. Quite simply the best dining experience we’ve had in a very long time. The service, value for money and the incredible food was spot on, thank you.

Es gibt nur circa 20 Sitzplätze, so dass es eine sehr gemütliche, vertraute Atmosphäre gibt, die Bedienung war äußerst freundlich und kompetent. Es lohnt sich, das Menü mit Weinbegleitung zu nehmen, da die Weine perfekt zum herausragenden Essen passen. Wir lieben Haubenküche, und dieses Restaurant hätte zwei Hauben verdient!

A huge thank you to Chef Bradley and the team at One Fish Street. We had a wonderful meal sitting at the bar / chef's table enjoying the fabulous tasting menu and accompanying wine flight. The hake was a particular highlight but all the dishes were outstanding with excellent flavours and stunning presentation. A super friendly team. We'll certainly be back.

We have visited twice now, and both times have been a real culinary and seafood treat! The new smaller location on Fore street is much more quaint and cosy, candle-lit and offering a more intimate experience that is great for couples. There’s even bar seats now to get a front row seat to the action of the kitchen! The food has always been superb. The fish is so fresh and always immaculately cooked, an array of seafood being served across the menu, from crab to lobster to mussels to hake, you name it! There’s a lot of inspiration from Asia, mostly Japan, which is a unique twist on Cornish seafood. Portions aren’t the biggest even for a tasting menu, with some bread or maybe a few more carbs being needed to help bulk a few of the portions out, but by no means did we leave hungry - for the quality and thought of each plate, and the chance to try such amazing and creative food, we were more than satisfied!The team is friendly and greets you with a smile, looking after you throughout the night. It’s a great experience from start to finish, and being able to speak to the chef is just fab! The value is still there and despite rising costs this place always seems to have a cheap (ish) menu relative to other spots of this calibre. Thanks again for a truly wonderful night of eating food that you simply cannot get anywhere else.

We were celebrating and we love seafood. We had the taster menu in the evening. Superb fusion seafood dishes, nicely presented and served in a small intimate setting The oysters were beautiful, and so were the other courses that followed and the wine we chose was delicious. Loved the experience. The port to end our meal was perfect. Highly recommend.

Absolutely amazing! Me and my wife agreed this was one of the best meals we’ve ever had. 9 course of fish and seafood including oysters, trout, mackerel, shrimp, lobster, hake, crab, mussels and cuttlefish all served in interesting ways. Worth the 6 hour trip from London to Cornwall just for this!

We went for the set lunch menu for two & it was superlative. This is by far and away the best restaurant in St Ives. The menu is imaginative, perfectly executed & beautifully presented. The restaurant itself is an intimate space & we had a grand time sitting in the window watching the passers by. The staff are chatty, friendly & efficient.

Came here last night to try the tasting menu. Our first time visiting st Ives and this place was just wonderful. Food was exceptional, the highlights being the crispy oyster, the black bean lobster and perfectly cooked hake! Good value at only £89 for the tasting menu. Service was attentive and relaxed, with each dish being explained to us course by course. The in-house cocktails are also well worth a try!

During 1 week visiting St Ives, also visiting new resurants every knight, this is the second best resturant in St Ives. We ate a tasting menu with mosty seafood. In total 9 dishes and all of them was very good. I would recomend everybody this resturant. It is very smal and cosy.

Hard to expand on the already glowing reviews. This place is a real gem in St Ives, it’s small and intimate - which isn’t a bad thing, but what’s more important is the food and service both of which are stellar!

BEST restaurant in St. Ives without a doubt. (even better than the fabulous Ugly Butterfly - foodie go to both !). We had the taster menu at OFS in March and were wowed!. Quality of food matches UB, but ambiance is more relaxed, friendly and accessible. We asked Bradley and his team to cater for an intimate wedding 2 months later. When the day came, we had the most wonderful time, fabulous picnic food with delightful cocktails between ceremonies, followed by a wonderful small plate dinner with more fab cocktails, wine, music and dancing. We cannot thank One Fish Street enough for helping make this the best wedding any of us have ever. attended (including our own). We'll be back.

Best place to eat in St.Ives. Thoughtful and creative dishes. Wonderful taster menu. Been twice. Wine is fantastic and some nice beer choices as well. Nice, friendly, cosy atmosphere. Made to feel really welcome. This place is a must visit and worth travelling to if you’re staying in the area.

Without a doubt , the best by far restaurant we have ever been to ! Definitely the best in St Ives . The food is just fantastic . The work that must go into producing these dishes must be phenomenal. We left feeling very full and could not have eaten any more . We will be back next visit to St Ives .

The tasting menu, which changes daily, is a food delight. It reflects the region, near the sea but also its agriculture roots. It is a small but comfortable restaurant. Each tasting experience comes in its own pottery dish, and recommended wine. The servings are innovative, flavourful and memorable. Total recommendation from me.

Und das alles für satte £398 für zwei Personen… Völlig überzogen, überteuert und nicht zu empfehlen. Das Portminster Kitchen/Restaurant in der Nähe ist definitiv die bessere Wahl.

Lovely restaurant in St Ives. The team couldn’t do enough for us, and made my 30th birthday celebration so special. The food was amazing, and we had some dietary restrictions that they happily accommodated for us. Lovely atmosphere in their quaint restaurant. Can’t wait to visit again.

We really hope this place continues as it is well worth it. Lovely staff and fresh local food cooked to perfection. Different flavours which make each mouthful a pleasure. Cosy place but individual tables or seating as you like. Do book but also do try on spec as they sometimes have space.

This is a lovely cosy little restaurant, smack bang in the centre of St Ives. The four of us loved everything about it, from the friendly informative service to the super execution and presentation of each and every tasty dish. Will definitely be returning on our next visit to St Ives.

This was our first time at One Fish Street but boy oh boy was it worth it! Flavour, flavour , flavour! Spice, sweetness , sour , bitter, all were consumed. If you enjoy tasting menus and you choose the right wine..... its the best place in St Ives for a Tasting Menu. I just wished they had put on a Cornish Pasty😆😁 ..........Fabulous!!

Wow just wow! This place never disappoints. We were here on our third visit and our first time in its new location. The food is outstanding and each course was so brilliantly executed and thought out. The staff are lovely and our waitress talked us through every morsel with warmth and enthusiasm. The combination of flavours and textures was fantastic from start to finish. I can't even think of a favourite part as it was all delicious and in a way I want to keep it to myself. Can't wait to go back next year.

If anyone is thinking about booking this restaurant, it is an absolute must! It is one of the best I have frequented in the past few years. The food is amazing, the cocktails are excellent and the owner and staff are brilliant. The tasting menu was out of this world in a small and welcoming open kitchen. I applaud the owners - this is a truly exceptional place and we will be returning.

Absolutely love one fish street! We try to return every year when we come to St Ives and it never disappoints. We were on a tighter budget this year and loved the lunch option for the same special treat for less £ - thanks for providing this! We went to One Fish Street fir our 20th anniversary dinner and we cannot use words to describe this restaurant. It is small with only 14 seats but that is what makes it so special. Everyone has the tasting menu which starts at 1930 and for next two hours you sample the delights of a very talented chef. Bradley’s food is simply outstanding, not pretentious in the slightest. His food is playful. The fillet of fish is fabulous. The addition of some American cheese with the fish on a bao bun was clever. The chicken liver parfait as the first of the ‘snacks’ was genius, served between crisp chicken skin with Parmesan cheese was yummy. The Gambero Rosso Dumplings were divine, spicy and so tasty. The hogget neck, roasted hake with Marsala sausage, I could go on. Everything on the 11 course was simply sublime. We have eaten many ‘tasting menus’ and this has to be one on the best, if not the best ever. The staff at One Fish have got it right. It is like being invited to a private dinner party, everyone talking to each other, amazing service,outstanding food, wow!!!!!!! This is paired down excellence, a lot of places could take a leaf out of this book. You feel wanted, no superiority. You are simply in the presence of a great chef. Truly overwhelmed by the experience.

Straight into my top 3 dining experiences, what a stunning meal. Sublime tasting menu in a casual setting, is just about perfect and amazing value. Absolutely make a booking and enjoy the talents of this young, friendly, welcoming, gifted team. A real focus on local in-season ingredients, expertly paired and beautifully presented. We couldn't stretch to the wine matching but there were some stunning wines on the menu. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Will definitely return.

The best tasting menu and dinner you’ll have in Cornwall! The food and service are exceptional. If you’re looking for an intimate dining experience with great food and wine, One Fish Street is the place to book!

Visited for the first time for our anniversary and we had a wonderful evening. The service was personal, friendly and attentive without being over the top. The food was really tasty and great value, and each dish was top notch, but the desert of chefs own honey, apple, Chantelle cream was off the scale. I also want some of those dishes you served the desert in, so if you want to sell two then let me know 🤞🤞. Would highly recommend and we will go back. Tell the barmaid she should add the lemon cocktail to the menu and the plum sake with desert was beautiful. Only thing to be aware of is parking is limited so get the in plenty of time.

My culinary bar is set pretty high and as a result I rarely leave reviews as I know what goes into making a decent meal and I don’t think it fair to damn with feint praise because my hopes have been left wanting. That was not case at One Fish Street. You excelled. OK it was a quiet, wet evening in St Ives, reflected in the turnout, but that was entirely irrelevant when presented with the quality and care (pride) of each course served with the most affable and honest service I can recall. I’m struggling to pick one course over another on the tasting menu, but failing. All were exceptional. Perhaps, probably, one of the best meals this year with no caveat or Michelin references needed. Wish you were nearer home. Well done.

This is my fourth visit in three years, and I am a fan of this restaurant. I view it as a real once-a-year treat. This fourth visit was as good as the previous three, and we had a great time- quiet ambience, delightful waitress, and the food was as delicious and beautifully presented as expected (hoped for). Basically although I'm a good home cook, I wouldn't be able to produce what is provided here, and that's what I want when I go somewhere high end like this. Add in the cocktails (fir sour and cucumber martini) and all of our group were seriously happy.

Booked this restaurant on recommendation. We had the tasting menu and it was absolutely brilliant. Every dish had subtle flavours without being overpowering. The waitress was extremely friendly and welcoming. We didn't have the wine pairings but could hear her describing each one to those on tables near us, she was very knowledgeable. I cannot wait to return to this gem of a restaurant it was probably the best meal I've ever had.

We were on holiday and were looking for somewhere special for the Saturday night. We enjoyed what we had and the beef sirloin was outstanding with excellent flavour and cooked to perfection. However the Grill House menu on that Saturday night did feel a little limited with more prominence given to the Tasting Menu which I couldn't have because of a seafood allergy. I had told them in advance no seafood but even the chips served with the sirloin were cooked in the same oil as their oysters so I couldn't have them and they couldn't offer an alternative. This is clearly an ambitious chef who shows a lot of flair and technique but I think he needs to broaden his menu a bit. Service was friendly but slow.

Overly impressed with One Fish Street ... their grill night menu maybe limited but what they offer is first class ingredients, cooked to absolute perfection, and served with friendly smiles. Creative twists with flavours ... whilst still showcasing the super fresh seafood... we mix and matched starters and mains (we don't eat meat and wanted to sample as much as we could). We had hake with pimento alioli, crab arranccini, chilli buffalo mozzarella, and star of the show ... ray wing with masala sauce and yoghurt. First time eating Ray wing, and the waitress kindly showed me how to remove from the bone. Well done Chef for creativity and keeping your ingredients true and fresh.

Disappointing experience, We were really looking foward to a meal here so its a shame wexdidn t enjoy it. We went on Saturday evening, found the service slow, 30 minutes before we even got a drink ! Food was good but not outstanding and very expensive. We have eaten in many restaurants including fine dining but would not recommend this one. There are many better places to eat in St Ives.

We booked for the tasting menu. Eight courses of phenomenal food. All delicious and presented beautifully. The two hostess’s were delightful. I highly recommend and we will definitely return. Thank you.

Went here for the first time! Really good atmosphere, the food was first class as was the service. Had a duck main and was amazing. If you get a chance please visit, made a point of thanking the chef's aswell which I think was appreciated!

Fantastic tasting menu with lots of great flavours! Loved the Japanese fusion and all of the food was beautifully prepared and served. The staff are really nice and knowledgeable. All in all we had a great 2 1/2 hour experience.

Yup, it is that good. A beautiful and flavourful journey of the senses. If opting for the wine pairing, suggest one between two as it includes 6 generously measured pairings.

This is a very nice restaurant and is in a good spot but I do think it is overpriced and a bit pretentious. Had small plates and starters, reasonably priced. However steak sharer was 82 quid and realistically was a main for one person. Small pot of fries and salad, boa bun ( decent size) and the steak. Maybe I'm just a sorry northerner and expected more for the 164 quid bill. I mean the food was terrific just feeling I had my eyes taken out. But as they say horses for courses.

We loved this little place tucked away off the main street. We went for cocktails and sharing plates and sat at the small bar area. The girls who served us were so lovely and the cocktails were my fave in St Ives.

We have been to 3-star Michelin restaurants, but this place is something else. Excellent food, great service. Highly recommended.

Had a reservation tried to cancel it. Phoned the restaurant several times but they never answered the phone. I was then charged £160 due to no-show. After days of discussing they refuse to refund my money as they say I did not cancel. I was informed that the phone is the number of the director and not connected with the restaurant. I was told, I should have cancelled via email. When I went to the restaurant to ask for my money back, I was told they don't have a phone and therefore I could have not called to cancel!!! I am in disbelief over the rude service. How was I supposed to know that their phone is not connected to their restaurant? What restaurant doesn't have a phone? I am a student and £160 is a lot of money for me. I would have eaten fish and chips I would have never spend that much money. I was explaining the situation via email but they are refusing to refund my money. I am in disbelief over what happened. I genuinely called this place I don't know how many times to cancel there was never an answer. They also said they were unable to rebook the table that is why they charged me, due to financial loss. It is summer and St. Ives is full of tourists. It is so difficult to get a table in St Ives for dinner. I just can't believe they did not rebook the table.

Didn’t get the chance to eat there. Had to cancel booking last minute and received a condescending email about why they needed to charge me. It was understood this would be the case when I made the booking and in the email confirmation for the booking. I felt bad enough as it was, having to cancel my reservation and didn’t deserve to be shamed for needing to cancel last minute. For the price point I’ve had much better hospitality at similar high end restaurants around the world. I feel like I dodged a bullet.

This restaurant took orders from 6pm. We arrived at about 5.50pm. Although we were the first to place the order, our starters were served the last at approx. 6.40pm, even after those who ordered after us. The main courses were served at 7.30pm despite we chased a few times. The manager explained to us that the food was prepared only after all orders were taken and in random order. This did not explain why others who wanted the same thing had their food before us. She told us the main courses were served so late because we finished our starters late and the grilled monkfish took them 40min to cook and that was why we got the main course 1 h 50 min after we sat down. To compensate the wait, she promised to took a few dishes of the bill, but it never happened. Given that we were the only Chinese in the restaurant at that time, it made me have to suspect whether it was because of racism or not. Avoid, very poor service, don't go.

I celebrated my birthday here tonight and was treated to a 9 course tasting menu. It was an epic meal, beginning to end. Bursts of subtle flavors, fun textures, lovely presentation. Don’t miss this restaurant when you’re in St Ives — and if you can swing it, the tasting menu is absolutely worth it.
