Amazing staff, best fish a d chips I have had in a long time

First time visitor and was not disappointed. Ordered a regular fish (haddock) and chips. Good portion size, crispy batter - fish cooked to order - and tasty chips. Friendly staff. Wasn't sure what to put for atmosphere - it's primarily a takeaway - but there are a few seats outside where you can eat if you aren't headed somewhere else to have your fish and chips. Give it a visit next time you are in Leeds and in the mood for fish and chips. Watch out for their early closing time - 7:30 on the day I visited.

Lovely fish & chips - excellent quality and pretty good value - we got 2 x fish & chips, 2 x sides and 2 drinks, all for £25. You’d struggle to find that for this kind of top quality fish & chips in Leeds! Portions were very generous and the batter was golden, crispy and light. Really impressed by the service and would 100% recommend. Our go-to for fish & chips in Leeds city centre now!

I was in Leeds with work, hungry and didn’t know the area. I saw the board on the Main Street and followed the sign to this place. Everything cooked to order, well cooked, super tasty, the Haddock was great. Recommended

The perfect fish and chips shop experience for people visiting Leeds. It is a small place with 3-4 tables on the front. They offer a wide array of fish and chips adjacent food. We got the classic fish and chips. The regular size was more than enough to feed us. The batter was very crispy and the fish was fresh. The chips had a homemade feel to them.

Really tasty food! I ordered fish and chips (with pots of curry sauce and gravy) and was really pleased with the taste, freshness and portion size. The batter was crispy and not at all greasy. The two servers were very friendly and made me feel welcome. I'll be back! Thank you.

What a fantastic meal ! Both the fish and the chips are so fresh and tasty. We even have a VIP area roped off for us outside, despite me not having vinegar. SUPERB QUALITY AND SERVICE.

Gluten free fish and chips! Run, don’t walk! Gluten is among my food sensitivities, and Fish Out has a great allergen menu on their website so I could eat without worry. Pictured here is the Regular size, which is huge! The gluten free batter was crispy perfection and the fish was flaky.

Run by a pair of great guys, my partner and I dropped by after a very long walk for dinner- genuinely the best fish and chips I've ever had (and us Kiwis don't take that lightly). Everything cooked fresh, beautiful fish and fluffy chips, plus some great conversation as we were waiting and eating. Even if you hate fish and chips, you need to try this place- it'll convert you.

Delicious fish n peas (didn't fancy chips). Fish cooked while i waited so it was nice n hot and crispy. Its a Clean shop all the surfaces were clean . They fry in veg oil and don’t put meat products in oil. - i would buy from there again Update- if you are short of time call them and they will take your order and have it ready for you so not much waiting 😃 Dec update - just tried Lemon and pepper on Small Haddock with mushy peas and of course lots of salt n vinegar - superb! The batter was thin n crispy and fish evenly coated - delicious.

I only get to satisfy my cravings for fish and chips when I visit the UK twice a year. This place has become my go-to. This was the first place I visited after arriving in Leeds and I hope I visit it many more times.

Absolutely fabulous fish and chips. Got the regular fish and chips, GBP9.25 as of October 2023, and the fish is very large. We took the sorry walk to the Leeds Train Station, and say and ate them there. I got the Curry sauce for the chips, and it was delicious.

Cleverly hidden little chippy! Not the cheapest place on earth, but, the fish and chips are brill. Sat outside on the provided table and chairs, got myself a wet butt. Still, enjoyed tucking into my classic fish and chips dinner though!

Visited Fish Out whilst waiting for a train connection at Leeds. I haven’t lived in West Yorkshire for over 22 years and to taste the fish & chips in this establishment made my day. Great fresh fish and chips with attentive and friendly staff. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, and it’s only a couple of minutes from the train station. Please go if you crave for decent fish & chips!

Visiting Leeds for a few days and was recommended this eating place. Four of us had their fish and chips, one gluten free. It was so good probably the best we had eaten. The service too was obliging and friendly. When in Leeds will definitely return to this fish and chip shop.

Llamado aquí esta tarde con un amigo. Primera vez que los dos visitamos. Teníamos 2 abadejos y patatas fritas de tamaño normal con guisantes blandos. El pescado estaba muy bien cocinado y la masa crujiente. Las patatas fritas estaban deliciosas. Los guisantes musgosos eran perfectos, ni demasiado finos ni demasiado pesados. Las raciones eran muy generosas y el servicio acogedor. Definitivamente volveremos. El mejor pescado y patatas fritas en Leeds.

Fish well-cooked to order at a decent price, about five minutes' walk from Leeds Station. Check opening hours (not normally open at weekends, and not open late in the evenings).

Regularly visit Fish Out whilst working in Leeds. Food is made to order and is therefore very fresh. To avoid the queues on a Friday I call ahead to place my order ready to collect. Great service and friendly staff. Loyalty card scheme an added bonus and they even let me have my free fish and chips early as I was finishing work to go on maternity leave.

I used Fish Out as my local chippy for 2 years and was always more than happy with the food. My girlfriend liked to experiment with some of the bit different items on the menu. I kept things simple and the fish was always freshly cooked and chips were good even at bad times of the year for spuds. I think fish and chips are a good alternative to the coffee chains and packet sandwiches largely available in the area. If I’m in the area I would definitely visit in the future.

Este es un muy buen chippy, las papas fritas están bien cocidas y no grasosas. Es una selección bastante limitada, ya que es bastante pequeña, pero el personal es amable y cada vez que he ido, han cocinado a pedido, por lo que es muy fresco y delicioso.

Encontré este pequeño lugar por casualidad mientras exploraba Leeds por primera vez a principios de febrero de este año. One of the best Fish and Chip shops in Leeds. The staff are very friendly and you shold try the Lemon and black Pepper batter. Delicious! This is now a 'must have' meal every week.

Cada vez que visito Leeds siempre trato de visitar este lugar. De lejos, el mejor pescado y patatas fritas que he tenido y un servicio muy amable. Puede estar ocupado, pero eso te dice qué tan buena es la comida. Así que espera hacer cola un viernes, ¡pero definitivamente vale la pena esperar! !

Conseguimos un gran pescado y patatas fritas, pescado fresco y era muy precario, cocinado delante de mí. Pasta era genial, crujientes y probado venía con una carga completa de patatas fritas y una salsa de curry de lado podría (en este caso, que era delicioso) han alimentado 2. Volvimos para almorzar la semana pasada, dieron un pescado pequeño y grande guisantes blandos. Delicioso. Empanada crujiente pescado suaves y muy bien preparado. Los guisantes eran un poco más duro de lo que me gusta, pero sé que mi marido (que odia los guisantes suave) Me hubiera encantado, así que es un caso de preferencia personal en vez de calidad!

Not much has been written about 'Fish Out' which surprises me. I have spoken to friends about the concept of frying fish in different batters and they can't understand why this hasn't been done elsewhere!There is a choice, 'normal', 'lemon and pepper' and 'garlic and herb'. The lemon and pepper is excellent, tangy and when you get a bite of fresh peppercorn.... The chips are the best I have tasted in England!It is tucked out of the way, so has limited opening times. Well worth a visit!

Just nipped in for a cheeky takeout on a Friday night and found a fab offer 2 regular sized fish and chips for £9.50. The friendly staff advised that despite me fancying a small and the boyfriend a regular it would be cheaper to go regular- nice guys. Maybe not so nice on my waist. We asked for lightly battered which is what we got and I can say nothing other than beautiful! It wasn't one of these places that do more batter than fish either I can honestly say there wasn't much air space between my fish and the batter! Also I didn't find it overly greasy which you can get with some fish and chip shops, Also they have abit of variation on the menu such as hallumi bites and chips.All round winner... You should try today!!!
