Very good produce freshly cooked by order so allow a little time. Small fish a good size, special is a whale. Fish special and regular or large chips to share would be an affordable option for most. Many queued outside when busy so dress accordingly. .

They do a great little kids box, which always goes down well. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming.

Honestly, this is one of the best fish and chips I have had. I ordered 4 regular fish and chips, which came to £35 and you will get your moneys worth. The portion is very big, the fish is very long and I almost couldn't finish my portion myself. The two young girls that served me were very polite, and the cook (which I guess is the owner) was cooking everything freshly. I went on a Thursday evening, and they were busy, but it was worth the wait, which was only around 10 or 15 minutes (I guess). I will definitely be ordering from them again!

Talk of the Town aptly named! Stopped for chips enroute back home to Northumberland & feel compelled to write a review. Probably the tastiest takeaway chips I think I've ever had...freshly cooked, piping hot and cooked to perfection! Very inviting, clean and great service with polite helpful staff. Will be stopping again on next trip to Leeds!

This chip shop is excellent. Had to go to another (well regarded) chip shop in East Leeds. The service here is SO much better and friendlier, the chips here are better, the sausage here is SO much better and the fish is unparalleled. I cannot recome d this place enough, they are consistent too, doesn't matter if this place is quiet or busy, it is always top notch

Criminally under-rated. I am very confident this will win some award soon. I've tried every fish and chip shop around and they're oiley, greasy, stoggy, small fish, old potatoes and these are simply sublime. I implore anyone who had had a bad experience is to give these another chance. You won't go anywhere else. The other fish and chips are border line disgusting against these. Genuinely a greasy mess. No other place even comes close.

Having purchased 2 portions of fish and chips. Got home and my daughter said her fish Tasted Funny. I tasted it and it did taste fishy, not the usual. The fish was made up of 2 pieces and both had bones in them. I phoned to let the owner know. He apologised for the bones which I know can be easily missed but as for the funny taste his reply was merely " well sorry you don't like it".. I asked if that was all he had to say and he said yes. Not a happy customer at all and this wasn't the response I was expecting when food is so exceptionally expensive these days. The least I expected him to say would have been to offer a free fish the next time. Sometimes you have to accept that not everything is perfect and as a responsible owner you have to take responsibility.. I definitely will not be going back. The customer service is diabolical.

Had 2 small fish and regular chips. This was more than enough food. The food was cooked fresh so piping hot when we got home. The fish was not heavily battered and cooked to perfection. This is the place to go for fish and chips. You may need to queue and wait at busy times but worth it.

Perfect fish, perfect chips and perfect service! This place is the definition of a spot on chippie, from the crispy white cod and the beautiful curry sauce, what more could you ask for. Don’t get me started on the chips…WOW. Emilia was perfect, lovely chat, good ratio of salt to vinegar, and you can’t stop her service with a smile. Would definitely recommend.

'Talk of the Town' may be a bold claim, but in North Leeds, we speak of little else! Fish and chips as they should be - each fish fried to order and perfection, and crisp, twice-fried chips. Certainly the best F&C I know, and reasonably priced. The brothers who run TOTT are nice guys who care about quality. Highly recommended.

Was looking forward to having fish and chips from here! My niece had not stopped talking about it. But sadly it failed me they didn't let the fish stand before wrapping so coved in oil by the time I got it home. £28 pounds straight in the bin Will not be passing this place on to anyone.

Many years ago a work colleague once told me if I were to fancy a portion of fish & chips then request the fish to be a special & lightly battered so since then I have always had my fish this way, yesterday I decided to go to TOTT because I hadn't had food from this place since I left Carr Manor High, well I ordered the a potion of fish and chips (special lightly battered) and when I got home I almost passed out while eating TOTT fish was amazing I truly recommend this place excellent service and food A+++

Best fish and chips in Leeds (IMHO). All orders taken as you go through the door and cooked fresh for you. By the time you get to the counter on the busy periods you order us coming out and wrapped quickly. Great staff and always busy here.

Yes really ! This one of very few places left in the country where you can actually get True traditionally cooked fish & chips. That's because they are fried in beef dripping, NOT oil. Nothing beats this way of frying for the most delicious taste you will ever experience. Not only that, but their batter is first class too. Also, the counter staff are always very pleasant & helpful. It's always a pleasure to go there, as i do every week.Try it once, and you won't go anywhere else !

These have to be the best fish and chips on Leeds. The fish is always white and flaky, the batter is thin and crispy and the chips are delicious. They sell traditional Yorkshire style fish cakes, haddock sandwiched between thick slices of potato, dipped in batter and deep fried!

Never in my life have I had to wait so long to be served and the girl on the till also tried over charging me and then short changed me. Very poor customer service.
