Simply delicious. We visited Mr Falafel purely on a whim. We love falafel but have been to a few places that just don’t do it well so was very skeptical. So our party did a split order we tried the falafel and the chicken shawarma.
Wow, wow, wow! To say we were blown away is an understatement. The falafel were flavourful, succulent and fresh! The salad was freshly prepared and added wonderful crunch and freshness to the wrap. Was perfect bites with each mouthful.
The vendor was a wonderful, kind man who clearly took great passion in something that reflects his heritage and culture. You can taste the love and pride with every bite
Will definitely be visiting again to try more food of the decent sized menu.
Highly recommended.
Been here a few times and it always delivers on great service and great food, cooked right there in open area of the kitchen. I went for the Belly Pork with mustard Potatoes, veg and Black pudding an absolute delightful meal, the wife went for the Chicken Breast with a Salad and pasta which had a great yoghurt sauce again a lovely meal.
I love this place. I plan my work days around their opening. This food is epic and I love the chilli crisp. It’s really great value for money and filling. It’s the best eatery in the south west!
wonderful to actually receive a warm welcome and excellent service. We had soup and chips. Actually proper home made chips and was soup delicious . We were so full decided to have half a scone each. So enjoyable. Everything was spot on. The only downside they are closing 30.03.25. So sad - just a little gem. Nothing was too much trouble- service with a smile along with excellent food. Many could learn lessons from this restaurant. Brilliant. May you have every success with everything you undertake
We visited the tea shop cafe on Saturday and had the absolute nicest time. Amongst us we had soup, sandwiches, Welsh rarebit (I’m still complaining to the wife that she didn’t have Yorkshire rarebit) and cake. It was absolutely smashing.
A nice fellow on the other table had just said that he had the best sandwich ever. However, upon discovering it was tuna I respectfully disagreed because that simply isn’t possible. Upon having my own sandwich I can see from his perspective that it may well have been.
The Muker Tea Shop: changing strongly held opinions.
The service was excellent. Everyone was wonderfully friendly and if anyone called anyone ‘love’ then I’m sure it would have been considered entirely normal because we’re in Yorkshire where people are nice! (Apologies but please read the review where the guy complained about this!)
Probably… the best tea shop in the world. I really mean that. This is well worth a visit regardless of where you are. I think Michelin define it as worth a special trip or something.
Muker is made better by this existing, and it’s already a lovely place. Well done!
First time…won’t be the last … lovely food, nice portions, excellent service one very small critic… Sauvignon Blanc NZ Marlborough by the bottle only … shame as the Chilean is no where near as nice… infact really not very nice at all ( but that’s a matter of taste of course!) I had one …. If I could have had The Marlborough… would definitely had two !! But still give it a big 9/10
This restaurant takes the word 'authentic' to quite a new level! I'm sure we've all eaten in restaurants which say they provide an "authentic taste of......" but Manju's not only offers authentic regional indian cooking but also has the courage to take you away from the familiar english version of indian cookery to the kind of flavours and dishes you might actually expect in Gujarat, all freshly prepaired by someone who clearly knows what they're doing. If you want chicken tikka masarla then this is not the place for you. An experience not to be missed.
Called in for tea and cake on Monday afternoon when many other cafes were closed and were not disappointed.
The carrot cake was delicious and the rest of the selection of cakes looked delicious.
The menu looked really good, with lots of options for breakfast and lunch, pity we we weren't that hungry!
We chanced on this beautiful cafe and we were so glad we did.
The salmon croissant with goat cheese was the best ever!
And so was the quiche ...
I am here for a few days but would definitely like to come here once before I leave.
Had a lovely Sunday roast here yesterday, celebrating mine and my twins birthday. Nice welcoming atmosphere, great location and we will be back.
As it was Easter Sunday, we had a cheesecake filled Easter egg which was something special 😊.

This man and gelato place is tight, resting on its reputation. Small portion sizes, high prices. I bought my girlfriend a £8 ice cream and then wouldn’t let me try any flavours. Goodbye. Way to lose a long term customer. I used to send people here. No more.
Just had lunch here, I'm not a salad person but your salads are really nice with unusual touches like fresh herbs, rice and quinoa. Cakes looked divine. Will visit again
