A friend of mine was visiting Ironbridge from North Wales, and wanted to meet up to explore the town and a walk along the River Severn. I looked on TripAdvisor for cafes with good vegan options for him - and found Eighty Six'd. The cafe is small and intimate; it's like a converted maisonette. The loo is downstairs by the front door, there's a few steps up to the main cafe floor (which has lovely big bay-windows), and the kitchen and till are in an adjoining room. Staff were polite and gave us time to peruse the menu and chat. There's art and poetry from local creators on the walls exhibited like a mini-museum; it's for sale too for the curators amongst you, but worth having a wander around to just look. Maggie Cameron's bird-themed art is beautiful! I didn't have food, just an Earl Grey tea, but my friend ordered a vegan chickpea and sweet potato salad, along with a vegan scone with coconut cream and preserve. Everything was beautifully presented (very colourful!) and he was impressed with the quality of the food - so next time I find myself in Ironbridge, I'll try something vegan myself! I did sneak a bit of the coconut cream out of curiosity, and it was pretty moreish... Thanks, folks - great to drop by, hopefully we can do so again sometime.

We visited Ironbridge today and came across this lovely little cafe that we had missed on previous visits to the area. The menu is great; lots of interesting dishes to choose from for lunch or a snack. We had a delicious lunch and bought some cakes to bring home. We finished the cakes 5 minutes ago which prompted this review as they were AMAZING. I think they were probably the best cakes that I have ever tasted. The service was good and staff nice. I think we'll be visiting Ironbridge a bit more often now lol!

An absolute delight of a tearoom hidden away in such a way that the majority of people might miss it if they weren't looking... hard luck to them I say!! The tearoom itself is pretty spartan and bare of the usual "quaint" stuff a lot of places seem beset on decorating themselves with but this just gives you way more time to look at and enjoy the food and views here! The menu isn't massive either, just a choice of a few very excellent tasting and beautifully presented meals to enjoy! Add to that it's all their own work and I'm sure you'll agree that this really is a hidden gem!

If ever you wanted proof that TripAdvisor works then this is it. We are regular visitors to Ironbridge and we searched TripAdvisor for somewhere for a light lunchtime sandwich. Up came the rather awkwardly titled eighty-six'd with a full 5 stars. It was totally justified, the staff were pleasant and professional and the sandwiches were excellent. Will definitely visit next time we are in Ironbridge.

We had read the TripAdvisor reviews and thought that it sounded good and decided to give it a try which with hindsight was a mistake. After we placed the order but for the significant proportion of our visit, there was a child in the food preparation area (I won't call it a kitchen as such but there was uncovered food in there) with a really bad cough. There were two adults in there so they both must have agreed to this situation. Whilst it would never be acceptable in my opinion, it was even more worrying as one of us is immunosuppressed due to a medical condition and medication. Laughingly, the listing on TripAdvisor classes the place as "healthy" which is a bit ironic. With hindsight we should have just left but we'd ordered hot food so it didn't seem fair on them, but we regretted it later. On the plus side the food and hot drinks were nice enough.

Gorgeous and original cafe. A quirky menu and the food is beautifully presented and all our choices were delicious and incredible value. After that we had to try the puddings, great frangipane, apple and blackberry scones, damson jam, all home made. I must also mention the Turmeric Latte, stunning. All backed up with friendly unobtrusive service from the owners.

Relaxed and friendly atmosphere at Eighty Six'd. A great range of drinks and menu so good I had trouble choosing what to eat. Ended up with the best (vegan) Reuben I've ever eaten; varied, fresh salads making the most of home-grown ingredients and a delicious cinnamon bun. Already looking forward to my next visit! Thank you.

So glad we went here for lunch and if in Ironbridge would suggest you do visit. It has limited seating so maybe phone ahead to check if space or make a reservation. The lunch menu was varied and all cooked fresh. We had quesadillas with sweet potatoe and cheese filling with a great tasting side salad along with toasties which quote "one of the best toasties I have ever had". For the first time in years I had a coke float and if dont know what this is go along and try it. They have a wide variety of smoothies which on a warm day were a welcome relief. Staff were lovely and attentive so overall well worth a visit. We were looking forward to their home made scones but did not have any space left so will be back to try them next time in Ironbridge.

Prompt and relaxing service. We both have dietary requirements, which were deftly handled, and we enjoyed a delicious salad each. One of us had Eton mess... what a generous portion! And also very tasty too. Thank you, if we were local, it would be my regular cafe.

We came here as a group of six people who each had a drink and an item of food. The music was great (60's soul/motown) and gave the place a really cool relaxed vibe. It was a comfortable place to hang out - nice and bright - lots of natural light. The guy who served us was friendly and helpful, and happy to slightly tweak the sandwich fillings for example, to suit our preferences. The food and drink were all VERY nice indeed. A couple of us had toasted sandwiches, and others had cakes. It all looked at tasted amazing!Just one small quibble - we were waiting nearly an hour before we'd all received food and drink, which all came out at completely different times. Service seemed a little confused and hectic. I noticed for example that a diet coke and a cherry coke were served ten minutes apart. Was someone getting a bit flustered because it was busy, perhaps? Can I recommend taking a deep breath, and thinking about the most time-efficient way to serve people? Maybe, serve everyone's drinks first? And, as a bare minimum, please tell customers if there's going to be a long delay!

Visited Ironbridge en route from London to Shropshire on a Sat. Hungry by the time we parked on outskirts of town at 1pm, we spotted the cafe windows as we walked past & then saw the billboard on the first roundabout on the edge of town. Warm welcome, didn't have to wait too long for food, which seemed all home-made. Great veggie options! (We even loved the music esp. by Americana folk trio Wildwood Kin).

After a warm welcome at the door today by friendly host Andy, we were taken upstairs to a bright and quirky room with triple aspect, where we were seated by an open window. The café was decorated with fresh cut flowers that looked like they had been picked from a beautiful country garden...the lettuce and other salad leaves were home-grown too, according to the simple menu. We ate tasty and original 'hot-pressed sandwiches'(aka toasties!). We tried the interesting-sounding pastrami and sauerkraut, and the veggie alternative with aubergine and sauerkraut (which was the overall winner, though both were delicious and more-ish!). Background music was an eclectic mix of soulful tunes, which we were glad of, after 2 nights on a campsite with no sounds! We finished with a shared lemon and poppy seed cake with mascarpone frosting, served cool from the chiller in the 30° heat we are experiencing this summer...it was light and delectable. This place is off the beaten track but well worth discovering.

We stopped there this week-end for a light lunch. We greatly enjoyed the quality of the produce used in this cafe. Only slight inconvenience is the difficulty to locate the entrance, but it does not reduce the pleasure!

So nice, and rare, to see an establishment doing a great range of healthy lunches, yummy cakes and drinks at fair prices. Relaxing and comfortable surroundings, and friendly staff. I love it here! Only wish they did takeaway so I could have their food every day!

Very good coffees, Scone with Cream and Jam and Hummus Platter! We walked out of one of the other cafe's in the town due to rudeness and found this beauty! We will be back.

This was a new experience for us, the restaurant is accessed via a staircase and is at first floor level it has great views down Ironbridge towards the power station, we had coffee and cake the cakes were excellent and the food other people were eating looked very good, the staff were very pleasant and helpful, it took a little while for the cakes to arrive but on balance it was well worth the wait

Been here many times but only reviewed once before. Food is always amazingly fresh with really innovative salads. Cakes are consistently superb, especially the espresso and walnut. Portions are generous and coffees are brill too. Can be a bit of a wait for food when busy but it's worth it. Probably my favourite place to eat.

I'm so glad we found this little cafe. The food here is excellent. Fresh, healthy and delicious. I found it very hard to choose from the menu. Every item on it was so tempting. I opted a seared nectarine, pecan and goats cheese salad and my husband had the black bean quesadilla. Both were fantastic. We each had a slice of homemade tart for dessert. I had the bakewell with spelt pastry. I would highly recommend it. My husband had the plum frangipani served with clotted cream. Yum!! Two very happy tummies. The service was also excellent, the girl was so friendly and helpful.

I went last night to Little Bengal with a group of 8 people and sat upstairs in the restaurant. The staff were absolutely fantastic, very friendly and attentive. The best customer service I have had in an extremely long time. All orders were correct and the food was excellent. The food was great value for money as well. There are many Indian restaurants in Telford but none are as good as Little Bengal.

Fantastic atmosphere and karaoke. The drinks are really good value although could do with a wider selection on draught.
