For a little place, the tea shop has a vast menu to suit all tastes and the shop a huge assortment of goods. Staying in Muker at Stoneleigh B&B, we visited the tea shop on three occasions and were never disappointed. First class service, wonderful food of generous portions at a fair price and eat inside or out. The pictures of food items already online are really as good as they look. Call in and try it. You may have to wait to get a seat, but it's a worthwhile wait.

Lovely traditional tea shop with excellent service and really friendly staff. The scones and jam were just the best we have had. Would highly recommend. Was nearby and saw that this place has lots of good reviews. As we arrived we could see that all the outside tables were full so decided to go for a walk first. On the way past I could see some of the food people had and it did look really nice. Walked for an hour and then came back and manager to get a table outside. Very nice woman gave us menus and warned us there was a ten minute wait on food (always nice to be told and we were more than happy relaxing in the sun outside) I got the Welsh rarebit with poached egg on top and it was really really good. Amazing flavour and so cheesy! Came with a nice side salad. We also got scones with cream and jam which were nice. Not the biggest scones we've ever seen but cooked nicely with a good crunchy outside and soft inside. My latte was good and my wife enjoyed her hot chocolate with marshmallows. Overall very nice food, great friendly service and we will definitely come back here again when walking in the area.

We were lucky to get a table in this busy tea shop which attracts a steady flow of diners. The very pleasant and friendly member of staff confirmed that the cakes, scones and teacakes all contained eggs and/or milk so unfortunately there were no vegan options. However, when we were enjoying our espresso (which came with a glass of water, always welcome) and Americano she let us know they had vegan rocky road bars available so we were able to enjoy something sweet with our coffees, which were excellent and supplied by Grumpy Mule of Holmfirth.

We've just spent two weeks staying near Muker, so had to try this tea shop a couple of times. It has a traditional atmosphere and friendly service. The tea was good, and the home made cakes and scones were delicious. On my first visit I had cherry and almond cake with cream, which was moist but crumbly, just as I like it. For the latest visit I tried the Chocolate mousse cake, also with cream. It was moist, light and richly chocolaty. The flavour lingered nicely for some time afterwards. My friends decided to be cheeky and share a cream tea which has 2 scones, jam and cream, and order an extra drink. The waiter guessed what they were doing and automatically brought an extra plate. We noticed he offered the same to another table too. I'd definitely like to go back next time I'm in the area.

We visited Muker Tea Shop on our last visits and will continue to do so. It is wonderful, quaint, delicious food and cakes and a cracking cup of tea served in porcelain cups and saucer. Only thing is and this is the majority of places, those dreaded stainless steel teapots which burn your fingers when lifting the lid and spill your tea everywhere when you try to pour it. A proper teapot would be lots better. Nevertheless, just gorgeous. Thank you.

I had a wonderful spa experience at Forest Spa and a decent stay at the lodge yesterday. I really wish I could give the estate a 5 star rating, but there were a handful of things that just didn’t quite meet the mark. For starters, it was very confusing how to get to the spa - signage definitely needs to be increased. Once in the spa, the lockers are located in the waiting/dining room which was odd in my opinion (I’ve been to a ton of spas and never seen this before). The staff were extremely friendly and my massage/scrub/facial session was amazing, which is why I wish I could give them 5 stars. For those that come for a spa day, you preselect your lunch choices at check in. It was clear the snacks were a separate charge, but the form made it appear as though the dessert was part of the package. At checkout, I was surprised that I was being charged 9 quid for a small scoop (seemed like half a scoop honestly) of sorbet with a little bit of granola. Pretty absurd. As for the lodge itself, check in was extremely confusing as it was hard to find the reception desk in the dark (since it gets dark around 4pm now) and then once checked in, they give you a map and leave you to find your room on the massive property (not just one central building). After lugging my bags to the reception desk (most of the way was gravel so had to carry my suitcase), I had to lug my bags back to where I started and ended up going in circles trying to find my room in the dark since there was little signage or help available. I ended up having to go back to reception and confirm where I needed to go and eventually found my way. This definitely put a damper on my spa day and completely reversed the relaxation I experienced earlier. Once in my room, the shower looked like an accessible room type shower (even though it was definitely not an accessible room since on the second floor with no elevator) with no door or barrier dividing the shower floor from the rest of the floor and I knew that was going to be interesting - I was in fact right once taking a shower. The bathroom floor was soaking wet after my shower, but thankfully it was only me staying in the room so I was able to use the extra towels provided for a second guest to mop up the water. The room was spacious and cute and the bed comfy, however, the pillows had a weird smell to them that almost made me think they weren’t clean. Dinner at the Coach House was nice, however, I paid 50 quid for a drink, water (that I didn’t ask for) and a main dish - seemed excessive, but I guess that’s what you get when staying at a place like this. Overall, the staff and service I received at the spa, lodge and restaurant were all fantastic. Just really wish the estate was able to meet the mark on all other areas.

Highly recommend visiting for fish Friday or Sunday lunch! Food is amazing with large portion sizes. All home cooked and freshly made to order! Well worth a visit
