Really disappointing meal. Staff were friendly but food was dreadful. We all have fish and chip and left with the question “how many times had that fish hit the fryer?” We didn’t make a fuss but quietly paid our overpriced bill. With hingsight really wish we had as it was one of the worst meals I’ve eaten in a long time.

Nous avons passé une excellente soirée dans ce restaurant sophistiqué aux plats savoureux. Le menu possède de nombreux plats sans gluten. Le personnel était agréable et attentif. Nous reviendrons.

If harvester open a tapas it would be this. About as authentic as straw donkey. Formica tables weren’t a good start .. then breaded whitebait, tempura prawns, olives out of a tin.. steamed bread from cafe rouge 1999. Boiled chorizo and rubbbery manchego without any quince jelly , that they don’t serve more because ‘ no one wants it’. You’d of thought the one advantage of eating in a Waitrose car park was they could nip next door and buy a pot. Tapas as done in the worst beach bar on the costa del sol. At £150 for 2 adults and a child I’d hoped for much better

Upon entering, the restaurant fails to make a favorable impression. Ok from the outside resembles a run-down resort from the inner, featuring mismatched furniture sourced from car boot sales, propped up by tables with napkins. The food, though passable, falls short of justifying its price point. For £50, expect three potatoes, a few chorizo pieces, and four small pork belly portions. To leave sufficiently satisfied, be ready to splurge at least £100 for two. The service mirrors the overall mediocrity, requiring patrons to actively flag down staff for dessert cutlery or drinks. This establishment is not ideal for special occasions or those seeking a balance of good food and reasonable prices.

Great spot for fantastic authentic Spanish tapas! The food was really tasty made with quality ingredients. Nikki and her team provided top class service. Long story short my wife cannot eat certain foods due to IBS. Nikki was able to tweak many dishes so that my wife could enjoy the meal. Both my wife and I throughly enjoyed the food, took us back to Spain! The Gambas Pil Pil is a must 👌🏽 as are the cocktails! The setting is also nicely decorated with good music playing, no doubt a great atmosphere later on in the evening.

I had high hopes for this restaurant, unfortunately my hopes were shattered. Let me start by saying I had received fantastic service at the run up to our dinner when I queried the menu or the dress code and that is where the positives end. We arrived for our pre-theatre dinner a little late and apologised. Once we were seated we realised it didn't make a jot of difference as we were the only people in the entire restaurant. I asked if they were expecting more people to which they replied yes it's early. Looking back we should have left at this point as it was a huge red flag. We ordered cocktails as I'd seen some great cocktails on their social media. What we got was utterly disappointing. They were served in some plastic tumblers which made us feel like we were toddlers. Worst of all, they just didn't taste nice. The flavours were all wrong and they didn't go together. Something important seemed missing They were not cheap at 16 pounds a pop either. So we decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and when our starter was served tucked in. My husband took one mouthful and looked disgusted. He said "I'll eat anything, you know me but I just don't want to eat this. I tried it and again it was just not balanced at all. All style and no substance. My starter was edible enough so I ate it as I was hungry but it was not what I would call tasty. Mains arrived and we considered asking to pay up and cut our losses but we stuck it out. Hoping for a change with our mains. It didn't come. My husband had the chicken shawarma, which could have come from a kebab shop. I had the trout, which looked and tasted more like salmon and which was not cooked properly in the middle. We'd had enough we asked for the bill. We stated our issues and asked for the 12.5 service charge to be removed as this added insult to injury. There was no attempt to apologise or rectify our evening. We left, glad that we were out of that restaurant. The service was poor, no one asked us at any point how our food was as we would have told them. The food was beyond poor. The drinks were poor. Added to this there was zero atmosphere in the restaurant as we were the only customers. A full house of disappointment. Avoid if you have any tastebuds or taste.

No volveré.

This is a lovely little old village pub and has many fans. (?). The food service staff are a group of pleasant young girls with no supervision. Therefore they are not focused on the needs of their customers. Usually they are gathered in a group away from the eating guests. We ordered 6 tapas dishes. The portions were very generous but fairly expensive compared to other Spanish restaurants. Three of the dishes were just acceptable but three were on the verge of being sent back. 5 of these dishes were not served at acceptable temperatures. If there had been evidence of a supervisor on duty that would have happened. 1, The chicken supreme was grossly over cooked in the process of preparation and then over-reheating resulted in dried out chicken making it impossible to eat. 2, The Frito Misto had spent much too long in the deep fryer and resulted in whitebait, prawns and mussels (many stuck together) that were over-cooked and all tasting of sour whitebait. 3, The cod suffered with a similar lack of care and attention in the kitchen. It was over-cooked and lacked seasoning and flavour. 4. There was no evidence of any supervisory staff on duty. So in summary, the owners of this establishment need to seriously review its management arrangements and supervision of both front of house and food preparation operations. Why are dishes like this leaving the 'pass' in the first place? Who is checking that? In the restaurant they need mature supervision by staff that understand the function and purpose of the business of running a restaurant.

This places sells itself on ‘live music’…. So having researched restaurants with live music, we booked Salty Olive. I had phoned in advance and told the music would be 3-6pm so we booked for 2.45pm. On arrival we were taken to the ‘Back Lounge’ which is a totally separate room where the live music cannot be seen or heard!!!! After a while the manager came over and was actually very apologetic and soothed the situation and upset. He said we’d still hear the music. We couldn’t!!!! The food then took ages!!!! I appreciate it’s cooked fresh but the menu is small and the idea of Tapas is food comes fairly quickly and you can order more as you go along if needed. We can waited nearly an hour. I think our order may have been forgotten as tables around us were being served quicker. But there was no apology. Oh and they added service!!!!! We just paid it to avoid any further upset. The back lounge is has NO atmosphere at all!! Avoid it! I would say if you book here - book the front bit only and make sure you have plenty of time!!

Celebrated a 50th birthday and we couldn’t haven’t been looked after any better by Sarah. We were a group of 13 and she kept us all fed and watered, and the restaurant provided a nice cake at the end. Cocktails were lovely, Tapas was very good, I especially enjoyed the meatballs and ham croquettes but others had their own favourites. A memorable night!
