The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Greek food

A birthday meal with friends, 5 of us in total. The pizza was excellent thin base with crisp edges fresh and tasty, just the right amount of toppings, the tomato sauce spot on for 4 of us. The other had king prawn linguine with good size prawns. Very friendly service, had a lovely chat with the owner. Would definitely recommend.

Fui aquí el sábado por la noche con unos amigos de Belfast. Dijeron que siempre era su primera parada cuando estaban en Glasgow. Ahora puedo ver por qué. Los cuatro tuvimos grandes platos principales de pitas, pollo, cerdo y cordero souvlaki, moussaka y, por supuesto, patatas fritas griegas. Porciones gigantes y todo delicioso. Un buen vino tinto griego y un par de mitos también. Todos terminamos con el raki obligatorio y estábamos llenos. Volveremos muy pronto.

First time at this restaurant.I found the staff friendly and helpful. My husband and myself have dietary requirements gluten and dairy. The chef came out and advised both of us what on the menu he could make for us. We had plenty of choice and the food was delicious. We both ate from the early bird menu. We will definitely be back, highly recommend.

Went last Sunday for lunch. Food was delicious & reasonably priced. Service was excellent,staff very friendly. Can’t wait to go again.

Gran comida, servicio amable y rápido como siempre. Parrilla de media mezcla muy recomendable y tamaño de porción muy generoso. Un pequeño postre gratis para terminar apreciado.

We were staying in Gosforth for a long weekend with friends, and ordered some pizzas from the Wild Olive. Went in to collect them and the welcome and friendliness of the staff was exceptional. The pizza's were fantastic, really tasty and unusual toppings. We nearly went for the Wolive, but were more than happy with our choices. 10/10

We visited the Rake last night, 27/12/24. We were seated straight away as we had pre-booked our table. We could see it was really busy so expected to wait for service. We were asked by a lovely lady what we would like to drink, we asked to see a drinks menu first. She went off to get it and never came back. After a wait, we asked a lovely young man could we have the drinks menu and he got us one instantly. We ordered our food on pices of paper(as you do) And handed it in. After a while, the first item came out, my oh garlic bread. Then one of mine came out. My son, who was treating us waited so long for his first tapas that our second dishes arrived. Not good at all. He got his eventually. I have to say that the food was excellent! Pricey, but well worth it. The wine prices are really expensive so be prepared for that. We had a great night with gorgeous food. Service was good, but a bit slow. Staff are lovely, rushed off their feet but still happy and smiling.

Probablemente uno de los mejores restaurantes griegos en el norte de Londres con diferencia. Como griego y alguien que está comiendo fuera al menos cuatro veces a la semana, puedo decir cómodamente que este restaurante tiene todo lo que espera encontrar en un restaurante griego en la hermosa isla de Chipre o cualquiera de las islas de Grecia. El personal es siempre atento, amable, educado y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. La comida es excepcionalmente auténtica y cocinada por encargo. Es obvio que nada está pre-cocinado porque es una cocina abierta y se puede ver cocinando en el carbón. El restaurante está tan ocupado, que no pueden servir comida que no es fresca. No entiendo el gemido de las críticas anteriores y debido a que es un restaurante tan ocupado si pudieras reservar una mesa para cuatro y seis personas, ¿dónde se supone que te sentarán cuando el restaurante esté lleno? Mi pareja y yo nos encanta este lugar y lo recomendamos a cualquiera que quiera comer buena comida auténtica grecochipriota en el norte de Londres

A very nice lunch. Good quality, freshly prepared. Staff welcoming and cocktail menu very good. Reasonable prices. Quirky restaurant. Highly recommended!

Love the menu. Great value for money, everything is very tasty and pretty healthy! Certainly fresh. Sit down and dine in or take food away it's always nicely presented and served. Love the whipped feta dip, halloumi, gyros, fantastic chips/potatoes fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. I always get a plate and then some sides. It's always a lot of food 😋 The staff are friendly and helpful. We have never had a bad meal here. Highly recommend 👌🏼 seating is limited. Even when bisy we have never waited long for an order. The shop is nice and clean it's a little small some would say cosy. Packing off city Rd can be a little challenging othevery easy to find.

Absolutely horrendous! Must say the behaviour of the staff has completely disappointed me. the waitress had no interest in serving us and also was on her phone the entire time and barely acknowledged us. We had to wave her down to pay the bill. Easily one of the worst service experience I have ever had .

Another lovely meal at the Carob tree. We come here at least once a month and it never fails to be amazing. Service and food is flawless as always. Pleasant lunch today from beginning to end, even though they were super busy a top service!

On a day out visiting Wincle Brewery and then some pubs in Macc. When we do these days out we always stop for fish and chips so have eaten in quite a few over the years. This was outstanding! I had a fish, cooked to order, lovely piece of fish and light crispy batter. My friend changed his order and they dealt with it with no issues. We will def be back next time we are in Macc. If I lived locally this would be the chippy I used.

Este lugar es fantástico. El entorno, el servicio y la comida. Llevamos años aquí y seguiremos haciéndolo. Siempre tenemos el meze que no puedo elogiar lo suficiente. Una empresa familiar con un ambiente maravilloso, un servicio amable y atento y la comida más deliciosa de los alrededores.
