Giorgios in Thanet

We visited on Friday for our Annual Christmas get together ( Chatham House Old ( very) boys’ s get together. What a night - great food and a fantastic atmosphere- if you haven’t got into the Christmas spirit yet then this will fix that. Brilliant DJ playing a mixture of thumping dance floor fillers to sing along Christmas songs. Andrew as always delivering great food - added to that the amazing service from Heidi and Alex and his team behind the Bar - and of course last but not least - Giorgio’s gigolo Theo. If there is any space get yourselves booked in !

On friday we had the DJ party night down Giorgios. It was a really fun night with a great atmosphere. The food/service was excellent so thankyou to all the staff for looking after us on a clearly very busy evening !! perfect Irish coffee also !! A great venue for your Christmas celebration.

Just had our Christmas party with you (Barretts Of Canterbury Ltd) and what a fantastic evening. Food was great, service excellent and all the staff were very friendly. We had no need to move on after our food as the in house disco had the music on point. 30 very happy people and have already booked for next year.....see you then. Regards, Danny.

We called here on a busy Saturday night after a long drive, our first visit to Margate and to Georgios. The staff team went out of their way to fit us in, served us promptly and treated us kindly on what was obviously a busy night. There was plenty of choice in the varied and interesting menu, we ate well and left warmed and restored in body and soul!

Fabulous. Five star service and the food was amazing. Lovely to find a restaurant with such good food and great wine at a very fair price. The dishes were fresh and had a good twist on the normal menu. The king prawns in chilli were the best I’ve had. Great can do attitude amongst the staff. Not local but we will definitely go back.

I booked this place for my girlfriend's birthday for a Wednesday at 7 pm, hoping to surprise her with a special and memorable evening. Unfortunately, our excitement quickly turned into disappointment when we arrived, only to find the restaurant closed. It was disheartening and frustrating to have our plans ruined, especially on such a significant occasion. As we had made reservations in advance, we expected the restaurant to be open and ready to welcome guests. The lack of communication or any notice about the closure left us feeling let down and unsure of how to salvage the evening. It's crucial for businesses to update their operating hours and communicate any closures to customers who have reservations, as it can make or break someone's special occasion. This experience has left us with a bitter taste, and we hope that such a situation doesn't happen to other patrons in the future. As a result, I would advise double-checking with the restaurant beforehand and seeking alternatives to avoid disappointment on important occasions.

We ate here this Thursday just before the Tom Jones concert. I promised my friends that they would love it and boy did they. There are reasons that this Restaurant has been going strong for so many years - food and service and price . Food - from the pizzas to the Specialty dishes everything is amazing - home cooked and tasty and always empty dishes result Service - from Heidi the busy bee always attentive to Alex mr cool and Eve killing it behind the bar to Michael the chef/owner and even a smile from Julie aka the ice maiden - they just make you feel so welcome Price - incredible value for money Conclusions - where I live in Canterbury we have loads of Italian restaurants none of them are a patch on this place ( ps they do lots of Greek dishes too) My only gripe - they don’t have a restaurant in my town

Margate seems to be shut on Monday's and Tuesday's which was a shame as we visited on the latter of these two days. This meant that we did struggle to find somewhere to eat, especially in the afternoon. Lots of fish and chip shops as you may expect but no good old fashioned 'pub grub' that we could find, that said, we settled on an Italian namely 'Giorgios' and thank goodness that we did. A bit difficult to find (down some steps) but once there it was lovely, staff very attentive (have to single out Heidi she was the best), food superb, great atmosphere and to top it all brilliant value. Recommend 'Giorgios' when visiting Margate.

Really lovely food and setting. However, soooooooo loud. Could not hear myself think let alone my friends. People literally screeching and shouting at top of their voices. We did ask if we could move table but were declined. Not a pleasurable experience on this occasion. Will not be returning

The food at Georgios was simply delicious and my wife and I couldn’t remember a meal that we had enjoyed more! The owners were really friendly and helpful and overall it was a truly 5* experience. Would highly recommend if you’re visiting Margate.
