Fantastic find, stayed in Margate for a couple of nights and needed somewhere to eat the first night and happened upon this gem! Lovely restaurant, fab and friendly staff and the food! 10/10! I had the Spaghetti alle vongole, and the spaghetti was cooked perfectly, the clams were massive and cooked perfectly too and the sauce tasted amazing! Kids meals were generous and fresh bruschetta style garlic bread . Tiramisù was delicious and homemade. This place was so good we came back again the next night. Thank you!

We went to this place twice it is absolutely stunning. The food is so tasty and just perfect! Every small detail you would expect in an Italian is in this place. The pizza was just absolutely gorgeous and the pasta was linguine with prawns and had the exact same taste as I had tasted in Italy! Such a humble and beautiful place and the prices can be higher but clearly they are so established they do not need to do such things

We had lunch here with our new Anglo-Italian families. Trained, welcoming and very friendly staff. Super food, elegant but informal environment. As Italians we joked about how carbonara was made (here they prefer it with cream) and we had the word gnocci corrected in the menu of the day.

A lovely restaurant in a wonderful location. To be clear, I have eaten here more than once and I didn't like the pizza, it might just be personal taste because I have tried other dishes and they were great. I couldn't fault the service or atmosphere, generally a good place.

Couldn't fault our experience here! We booked a table of 10 for a hen do and the staff were fantastic from start to finish. Lovely atmosphere and the food was fantastic all around. We also had a coeliac with us which they were more than able to cater for. Would highly recommend!

Had a meal last Saturday night There were 10 of us and the restaurant was very busy. The atmosphere was amazing the service was amazing staff were amazing The food was to die for . Everyone received their meal together . Thankyou for a fabulous evening.

Booked Giorgios as a spur of the moment lunch venue and I'm so glad we did. The food was absolutely delicious we will definitely be back for another visit soon.

Very nice place, but I didn't realise it was where it was, during to being located at like a basmwnt level and down some stairs. But the guys were very nice as we just walked in looking for a table/quick bite before 1hr &40min journey home. The restaurant was fully booked, but they managed to get us x3 a slot and seated within 5mins. We did t feel rushed or on clock watching. we took our time and had a lovely pizza and mushroom risotto that we shared. The only thing that took a bit of time was trying to pay the bill🤭 But I definitely would recommend it as it was a lovely place and food was good, just maybe book in advance, we just didn't realise it was a buy weekend 😀

Over many years of holidays in and around Margate, we've never had a poor experience at Giorgios, and our meal this week was excellent as usual. Booking is a must. Great food. Excellent service and all at a fair price. Highly recommended.

Really enjoyed out visit here. Very warm welcome, and delicious pasta dishes (carbonara and linguini polpetti), and antipasti. Very nicely priced wine too. Also, open on Monday evening.

Birthday dinner. Starter was great would highly recommend the mushroom bruchetta. Mains were good tasty and filling. No check backs done at any point Unfortunately we had an issue with an unexpected item appearing in our pudding. Whilst the staff were very quick to rectify the situation feel like the pudding could have reach us without the issue ever occurring. As it was we were offered a replacement (which we didn't want or a refund) so at least they did what needed to be done to make it right. It was a bit of a shame as otherwise this would have been an excellent birthday meal but would for sure give them another try.

Had the best hoisin duck pizza I’ve ever tasted. The young waitress was efficient and professional. Food made to order and it shows. Everything was fresh and piping hot. Family run business. Would recommend.

We went out for a family dinner 1st March. The staff were so welcoming and attentive, the food was amazing!! And so much of it I couldn't fit in a dessert. There was a real mix of people ans the atmosphere was buzzing, it was a wonderful evening out that everyone in our group thoroughly enjoyed thanks to the team that work so hard here. On friday we had the DJ party night down Giorgios. It was a really fun night with a great atmosphere. The food/service was excellent so thankyou to all the staff for looking after us on a clearly very busy evening !! perfect Irish coffee also !! A great venue for your Christmas celebration.

We visited on Friday for our Annual Christmas get together ( Chatham House Old ( very) boys’ s get together. What a night - great food and a fantastic atmosphere- if you haven’t got into the Christmas spirit yet then this will fix that. Brilliant DJ playing a mixture of thumping dance floor fillers to sing along Christmas songs. Andrew as always delivering great food - added to that the amazing service from Heidi and Alex and his team behind the Bar - and of course last but not least - Giorgio’s gigolo Theo. If there is any space get yourselves booked in !

Just had our Christmas party with you (Barretts Of Canterbury Ltd) and what a fantastic evening. Food was great, service excellent and all the staff were very friendly. We had no need to move on after our food as the in house disco had the music on point. 30 very happy people and have already booked for next year.....see you then. Regards, Danny.

We called here on a busy Saturday night after a long drive, our first visit to Margate and to Georgios. The staff team went out of their way to fit us in, served us promptly and treated us kindly on what was obviously a busy night. There was plenty of choice in the varied and interesting menu, we ate well and left warmed and restored in body and soul!

Absolutely loved it in this restaurant. Great people, great service, and even better food! I love that its tucked away at the bottom of the stairs, adds a bit of quirkiness to the experience. I will 100% be back here, and would actually do the 3 hour drive to eat here again.

Nice place. Food OK, but pricey for what it is. Greek-Italian fusion. Food was basically what you would expect at this price. Competently prepared and served. Service was mixed, depending upon which of the two staff visited the table. One was effusive, friendly and approachable, the other - either off-handish or just having a bad day. You will not go far wrong with this establishment, but you must be prepared to pay slightly over the odds.

Fabulous. Five star service and the food was amazing. Lovely to find a restaurant with such good food and great wine at a very fair price. The dishes were fresh and had a good twist on the normal menu. The king prawns in chilli were the best I’ve had. Great can do attitude amongst the staff. Not local but we will definitely go back.

We came here as a group of 11 for a hen do. Service was amazing and super quick, and all our mains came out really fast, all at the same time and all hot! The food was impeccable and the staff are absolutely lovely. Would highly recommend!

In a nut shell, service was extremely slow, food was nice and the surprise birthday cake was bought out without a say so. Our birthday girl was mid opening pressies when they started singing happy birthday with her cake 🤷🤦

The food was fantastic, my wife's a vegetarian and she found the choice very much to her taste. The staff are really friendly and attentive, We live in Suffolk and were in Margate for a few days break, the Georgio's experience would ensure that we came back!

Not only were our meals incredibly good, but despite arriving incredibly late (about 15 minutes before closing) the kitchen very kindly still cooked for us. Thank you so much to all the staff for being so lovely.

I booked this place for my girlfriend's birthday for a Wednesday at 7 pm, hoping to surprise her with a special and memorable evening. Unfortunately, our excitement quickly turned into disappointment when we arrived, only to find the restaurant closed. It was disheartening and frustrating to have our plans ruined, especially on such a significant occasion. As we had made reservations in advance, we expected the restaurant to be open and ready to welcome guests. The lack of communication or any notice about the closure left us feeling let down and unsure of how to salvage the evening. It's crucial for businesses to update their operating hours and communicate any closures to customers who have reservations, as it can make or break someone's special occasion. This experience has left us with a bitter taste, and we hope that such a situation doesn't happen to other patrons in the future. As a result, I would advise double-checking with the restaurant beforehand and seeking alternatives to avoid disappointment on important occasions.

We ate here this Thursday just before the Tom Jones concert. I promised my friends that they would love it and boy did they. There are reasons that this Restaurant has been going strong for so many years - food and service and price . Food - from the pizzas to the Specialty dishes everything is amazing - home cooked and tasty and always empty dishes result Service - from Heidi the busy bee always attentive to Alex mr cool and Eve killing it behind the bar to Michael the chef/owner and even a smile from Julie aka the ice maiden - they just make you feel so welcome Price - incredible value for money Conclusions - where I live in Canterbury we have loads of Italian restaurants none of them are a patch on this place ( ps they do lots of Greek dishes too) My only gripe - they don’t have a restaurant in my town

Margate seems to be shut on Monday's and Tuesday's which was a shame as we visited on the latter of these two days. This meant that we did struggle to find somewhere to eat, especially in the afternoon. Lots of fish and chip shops as you may expect but no good old fashioned 'pub grub' that we could find, that said, we settled on an Italian namely 'Giorgios' and thank goodness that we did. A bit difficult to find (down some steps) but once there it was lovely, staff very attentive (have to single out Heidi she was the best), food superb, great atmosphere and to top it all brilliant value. Recommend 'Giorgios' when visiting Margate.

Really lovely food and setting. However, soooooooo loud. Could not hear myself think let alone my friends. People literally screeching and shouting at top of their voices. We did ask if we could move table but were declined. Not a pleasurable experience on this occasion. Will not be returning

We went as a party of 15. Lovely food as always, all needs catered for. It was busy but food didn't take too long. We ordered our drinks separately at the bar do that paying individually for our food was easier. Staff very attentive

Squeezed us in without a reservation, delightful service from everyone we came into contact with. Sooo many Vegan options which was great. I had a delicious pizza - big portion sizes so I took some home in a doggy bag. Gorgeous red wine selection. My only qualm would be the cocktails - would be nice to see a few of the more generic ones but I would definitely come back.

The food at Georgios was simply delicious and my wife and I couldn’t remember a meal that we had enjoyed more! The owners were really friendly and helpful and overall it was a truly 5* experience. Would highly recommend if you’re visiting Margate.

We went here for my Father in laws 92nd Birthday. The pizzas were amazing, perfectly cooked, generous toppings and very reasonably priced. The cocktails were delicious and most importantly the service was so friendly and efficient. We left the evening feeling like we’d been at a friends house! Would highly recommend this restaurant!

Myself and my Fiancée attended here over the bank holiday weekend. There was parking outside the restaurant, you access the restaurant vis some steps. Did not see any wheelchair access but I might be wrong. Inside the restaurant it is very spacious and we’ll presented. The staff are very attentive and courteous. Overall atmosphere is great! Food was fantastic! Service was very fast! Overall great experience 😊. We would definitely come here again. Thank you Giorgio’s!

I have been to Georgios a few times and it has been a mixed bag, however on my latest trip it was very good despite the size of our booking they managed to accommodate us very well- i recommend their espresso Martinis too.
