Beautiful little shop, tastefully decorated, colourful decor. Excellent choice of delicious cakes, clotted cream teas too.

I had been looking forward to a cream tea all holiday but was sadly disappointed. The scones were very dry and crumbly with little to no jam on the side. The coffees were nice and service was okay. Will not be returning.

What a lovely surprise! Ella's is a little gem, and the lady who served us coffee couldn't have been more helpful (I have trouble lifting a full cup, so she served me a not-quite-full mug and left a tiny jug with more hot milk so I could top it up as I drank it). It's brightly decorated, clean and fresh, and though not large, it was very popular. Before we left, my friend told me the experience of popping up the stairs to the loo would be 'interesting'. It certainly was. Such a lovely quirky place. Next time we'll try the food after reading these reviews!

Another fantastic experience, very friendly staff who make you feel welcome. All the food is so fresh it's hard not to want to try everything. We had the tuna melt, ham sandwich and a sausage roll, all tasted amazing and once again presentation was perfect. I also had a orange hot chocolate which was decorated with cream, mini marshmallows and mini chocolate orange segments, simply heaven in a mug. Prices are very reasonable too for the quality of food you receive. Don't bother going anywhere else, just go here you won't regret it.

Best flat white coffee I’ve ever had and the toasted sandwiches were superb. This is a first class place to eat which I highly recommend. Bright fresh decor with very friendly service. We look forward to returning very soon.

Looking for a child and dog friendly venue and came across Ella's. Lovely quirky deco. But the highlight had to be the cream tea. The second best cream tea we've had (the first being a unique home made one in Scotland), almond and cherry warm scones, delicious sandwiches, pretty crockery. Thank you so much.

Went in here for a sandwich for lunch. Nice looking tea shop from the outside. When we went in a nice couple moved tables so we didn’t have to wait. Even though really busy they took our order and our drinks were brought out promptly. The sandwiches are made to order and was a little wait for them. When we had eaten the sandwiches they removed the plates quickly and asked if we wanted CAKE, which of course is the real reason we go to tea shops. Homemade lemon drizzle and Victoria sponge came and both was big slices. This is the best place we have eaten this holiday so far and was cheap.

We were looking for somewhere for lunch and came across Ella's and we went inside. A great decision. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and the service was friendly and efficient. We would certainly return if we're in Brixham again and would recommend the tea room for anyone wanting quality food and drinks.

We were visiting Brixham for a few days. Found Ella's and had a delicious lunch, so good we went back the next day! Tasty, home cooked food, with the most delicious home made chutney ever! The staff were really knowledgeable about catering for allergies, so we found it a really relaxing place to eat.

I'm lucky enough to share my birthday with my daughter, so we always treat ourselves to a girls' day out. This year, we booked a high tea at Ella's, and we had such a good time. The food was plentiful and delicious. We made our way through all the layers on the stand from sandwiches to cute little cakes. We couldn't manage it all, but the rest went in a doggy bag for later. The service and welcome were great, and it was a fab way to spend our birthday (followed up with cocktails in Liberty's!). Thanks all.

Such a lovely place a very good selection of gluten free food and amazing cakes. Staff was very knowledgeable of the food they serve. I felt safe eating here due to my allergies. Our little dog Lazslo was made very welcome to. We don’t live far from Brixham. We will definitely be going again soon.
