I don’t know where to start with this amazing place! We first called into tea on the green for lunch when we were looking at a wedding venue. We loved it so much we asked them to cater our whole wedding! The cafe has a lovely vibe (and sells some really nice homeware bits too!) the staff are so friendly and welcoming and there is a great selection of food and drink. It was raining when we visited but the courtyard looked beautiful too weather permitting! When sorting our wedding we met with cath and stu and they were so professional and accommodating and worked with us to come up with a menu of exactly what we wanted and even catered the bar at our wedding. The wedding food was absolutely incredible every single guest mentioned how good it was. We had a fully vegetarian menu and all the meat eaters were sold! All the staff on the night were incredible and went out of their way to be accommodating! They made our night and we couldn’t be more grateful Overall whether popping in for a cuppa or for a big event like us I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending tea on the green. Truly amazing.

What a welcome from all the staff, nothing too much trouble - you feel genuinely welcomed from the moment stepping inside. Yet again exceeded our expectations, brunch and well behaved dog friendly; in fact a small bowl of special treats came with our tea, hot water, milk, and lemon passion cake - so BIG thank you. AND great selection of gifts; so we bought those too. What incredible service - an absolute delight to go. THANK YOU all . Nick, Belinda and Lola

After a chilly walk around Bolton Abbey I popped in for a nice hot drink, staff were really welcoming and invited me to sit and they would bring me a menu. I ordered a coffee, scone, jam and cream. When the coffee came I was impressed as it was in a large mug so gradually warmed my hands round the lovely cup of coffee, then finished off with a gorgeous fresh scone with jam and cream. The tea room was clean and tidy and plenty of room to sit inside.

We had been recommended this tea room for a Devonshire cream tea and we were not disappointed. The large, home-baked scones with the jam and cream to put on in whatever order you prefer (!) were delicious. There was a choice of plain or fruit scones. You could also choose a cheese scone with a different topping. Lovely ambience and decoration within the tea room too. Lots of places offer the typical Devonshire cream tea for tourists (and locals), but not all are of a high quality. We would certainly recommend this one.

After a visit to the priory on a cold December day, this was a lovely place to call into. We had a warm welcome and were not rushed into making a decision about what to eat or drink. Mmm lovely hot mocha! Served with a smile! There was a small gift area with some unusual seasonal crafts for sale. A little gem of a place.

Great coffee and cake. Hubby had a slice of Millionaire Shortbread and our friend and I had the BEST carrot cake 😋😋. Steve and Trudy welcomed us with warmth and huge happy smiles. They offer a varied breakfast/light lunch menu as well as loads of specialty jams & chutney’s to buy. If we could give The Cake House 10 stars we absolutely would. Thank you.

This place is in a beautiful location. After a hard day cycling, we we had run out of water and food. Although the tea-room was closed we asked if our water bottles could be topped up. The lady who owns the place was busy but she could not have been more kind and helpful. She brought us delicious home-made chocolate cake and filter coffee and stayed for a chat. Absolutely amazing customer service and saved us that day! Thank you!

Any time this place is open, do take the chance to pop in for a drink, snack or meal....a very friendly place with a good choice (including vegetarian) on the menu; the family team are happy to speedily prepare and serve just what you order in a quirky, well presented small cafe. Excellent value, quality food!

First stop on the way out of Hubberholme when walking. 3 of us had the cream tea; wonderful home made scones with home made jam & lashings of cream- scrumptious Scar House Tea Garden highly recommended.

What a lovely find. We had the small breakfast which was absolutely delicious. We are returning to try the lunch menu very soon.
