We've been coming to this pub for a good few years as have our caravan locally. Carol and Paul who ran it until recently we're absolutely lovely hosts serving great food, as most people, we were unsure how it would be under the new owners. We went last night for a meal, Sarah the landlady was very friendly and welcoming, as we're all the staff, the food was absolutely delicious and it was great to see and chat to Tracy who's been there years. Very dog friendly which is a must for us and lovely chilled atmosphere. Thanks guys and we'll def see you soon. Jane, Pete and Milo our little whippet

We're staying nearby this week and had a fantastic meal on Wednesday and found out that Thursday was "Pie Night" so went back again! We all had a great size portion of homemade pie, chips and peas and the meal was absolutely fabulous-the meat just melted in our mouths! You need to go for a meal but especially on "Pie Night"

Nice simple, unpretentious Dales pub with friendly welcoming staff. Friendly locals bar including the local fell running club I think. Good value standard pub grub and drink (very nice beer from Bowland Brewery in Clitheroe). Proper fire. ✅ Stayed over in our campervan (welcomed). Parking was flat and quiet. A few vans (campers/motorhomes) even on a wet October midweek evening! Would def go back. 👍

A passing visit brought us back to Helwith Bridge Inn (we came last year too) for a few drinks while camping nearby. Great selection of quality cask ales, nice beer garden at the back overlooking the river and the railway (great for trainspotters when the steam trains pass by) and friendly staff. We ordered a chicken fillet "buger" and a sirloin steak, the food came faster than expected and tasted microwaved, the steak didn't taste freshly cooked and the chicken burger wasn't even a burger it was just chicken breast on a dry bun, chips were okay bit not the best I've tasted. Then 20 minutes at least till the steaks arrived, which were over-cooked and dry, we asked for medium rare and they were grey through and through. VERY disappointed, did not enjoy the meal at all. Paul the landlord was surly and ungracious and did not apologise. We negotiated a reduced bill of £40, and still felt ripped off. The beer was mediocre by the way, not well looked after.

Its a little way out, right next to the river. Dogs welcome. Food, which I understand was prepared by the lady of the house was really, really good. Both of us had steak, one with veg the other with salad and it was the best cooked steak I have ever had. Unfortunately it was beaten by the sticky toffee pudding for desert, which was the absolutely best I have ever tasted and I have tasted quite a few. We all left with full tummies and a promise of returning the next time we are close by. Well done to the owners you do an absolutely fantastic job as hosts.
