Lived in the area for years but this was my first visit to The Knights Table. I can assure you that it will not be the last. I honestly could not fault a thing. The young lady who served us was a real life Mary Poppins, positively perfect in every way. The food was excellent and presented excellent value for money, the eating area was clean and its location offers breathtaking views. All in all a very pleasant experience.

Had a fabulous meal last night celebrating a 70th birthday. Food was superb - a few of us had the sweet potato korma curry and all said it was delicious. Everyone followed their main course with a desert, of which we all eyed enviously other's choices. Can definitely recommend the salted caramel sundae with millionaire shortbread, although the cheesecake is on my shortlist for next time. The staff were great (as always), attentive and helpful with special mention given to Hannah and Charlie who had to cope with our large party which included a 2 year old & 2 well behaved dogs. The location is excellent with superb views across the dales so if any walkers are looking for a place to refresh with excellent food and drink then The knights table is a must.

Sunday lunch with family. The fish and chips never dissapoint and were really well presented. The salmon was delicious, although I would rather have had the sauce on the side as I found it a little rich. Beautiful roast beef but sadly the roast potatoes were over cooked and hard and the mash was cold. All but three items on the dessert menu had sold out. So overall a little disappointing.

Went for a meal to celebrate a friends birthday. We have been here several times before and have always thoroughly enjoyed each occasion. As usual, the food was good and the staff were friendly and attentive. The setting is brilliant and the atmosphere was excellent . . . Until - a very inconsiderate couple with a yappy dog allowed it to start barking loudly and continue to do so whilst they ate their meal. This was much to the very apparent annoyance of everyone else in the restaurant. This couple had no control of the dog and made no attempt to remove it from the restaurant when it continued to bark and obviously upset other customers enjoying, what should have been, a peaceful meal and a happy occasion. I don't blame the dog - I blame the owners!!!!

Staying in Stainforth and we ate here twice in our weeks stay. Both times were terrific. Very friendly staff and a good menu selection. Really reasonable prices including drinks. Lovely home cooked food. Good portions too! had two great meals here. Couldn't fault it. We just about made it over the old bridge but very tight! The alternative road may be easier for larger vehicles.

We walked from settle to the Knights Table. This restaurant made us beautiful, quality food. We went on a Sunday so we chose from the Sunday dinner menu, I chose the roast beaf instead of lamb. It came plated with gravy and a very large Yorkshire pudding. There was a selection of veg and mash potatoes plus roast ones too. I had a ice cream Sunday aswell. It was a 2 course meal which cost £20 . Will certainly be returning to try different meals. 5 stars.

The food was a curate's egg - good in parts. Nice soup with good fresh bread and crisp croutons. I liked the Sweet Potato Korma too. Neither of us were enthralled by Mary's choice. Her 'Plump Greenland Prawns' were nicely coated with a sweet chilli dip would have been good if they were as described, but in fact we're so small even as shrimps they must have been juniors. Definitely a new definition of the word plump. The Trio of Pork - pork chop, black pudding & a sausage with chips & veg - was underwhelming. Black pudding a bit salty, gravy and sausage nothing special, and the veg was, sadly, standard English plain steamed beetroot, broccoli and carrot, though not overcooked which was a redeeming feature. As for the chips, we abandoned them. Thinnish if not quite as thin as some others they were a bit brown. Overall the disappointing features, especially the miss-described prawns at £8.95, give my rating as not great value for money.

Upon arrival, the views are spectacular. Advise sitting near a window or outside. Inside the area was big and open. Food didn't take long to come out. We got the Nacho's to start with, unreal! Great portion size, cheese layered through not just on top, how it should be! Also ordered Steak and Onion Pie and Grandma's cheese pie. Both were exceptional. The Steak pie was rammed with meat 🤌 The dessert was billionaire ice cream sundae, full of delicious surprises from top to bottom. (See Photo's for food) The reason I didn't give 5 stars for service or atmosphere is because the table wasn't cleaned properly on arrival and the place was filled with dogs that kept disrupting the peace. We received a warm welcome and were shown to our table by the window, with magnificent views of the distant hills. There was plenty to choose from on the normal menu and several more specials. My wife went for the San Francisco Chowder to start with and this arrived inside a bread casing. Delicious! I picked the Rarebit and garlic mushrooms. The portion size was a meal in itself. It was beautifully presented and a delight to eat. Korean style chicken noodles followed for my lady, whilst I had the crispy belly pork with mashed potatoes and a bean stew, plus vegetables. Once again, the portions were enormous and the food so unctuous. We had a bottle of Chardonnay to accompany the meal and having ate so much that there was no room for dessert, we had an espresso martini each, as a treat. The dining area is very spacious and airey, making the experience much more comfortable. We had a fantastic night and all for less than £80. This really is a magnificent place to eat, with superb food, much of it from their own farm, expertly prepared. The food is absolutely delicious, portion sizes are huge and prices are very reasonable. We will definitely visit again. It's just a shame that we live so far away.

Been here twice. Not easy to get to along narrow lanes or Riverside walk. It's 'out of the way'. Personally I found it a bit 'sterile' lacking in character, a bit like dining in a modern village hall. It's not exactly like that but that's the feeling I got. Service and staff were five star, friendly and attentive but food whilst fair value was average. Overall our party had a nice time and has no real complaints hence four stars but on both occasions I've visited I've felt you'd get more atmospher and similar offering from a pub.

After some research of the Grassington coffee shops and tea rooms, what a great find The Corner House Café is. On a dry October Sunday morning Grassington was very busy. We arrived for a late breakfast around 11:20 and despite there being no indoor spaces on arrival the fantastic host said she'd find a table in a tick. True to her word, we'd sat down outside for a minute and she was calling us in. Their staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly with some Yorkshire humour thrown in. The food and drinks were excellent and the takeaway cakes were delicious and set us up for our walk across the dales. Will we return, will we 'eck as like 😁

The service was poor, Staff didn't even know if they did cappuccino. The food portions were children size and it was overcooked. We finished and after 30 mins waiting we had to ask for the table to be cleared and for the dessert menu. Really disappointed as it is usually so good.
