The Corner House Cafe in Craven

After some research of the Grassington coffee shops and tea rooms, what a great find The Corner House Café is. On a dry October Sunday morning Grassington was very busy. We arrived for a late breakfast around 11:20 and despite there being no indoor spaces on arrival the fantastic host said she'd find a table in a tick. True to her word, we'd sat down outside for a minute and she was calling us in. Their staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly with some Yorkshire humour thrown in. The food and drinks were excellent and the takeaway cakes were delicious and set us up for our walk across the dales. Will we return, will we 'eck as like 😁

Had a lovely experience at the corner house cafe. Visited on an incredibly busy weekend, they warned us about the wait for food. We were served quicker than expected. The veggie burger and panini was delicious and even the chips were great!

Very warm welcome to a down to earth unusual cafe with great service. Very quickly had my order taken on what must have been their busiest weekend of the year… 40’s weekend

We visited Grassington for the 40s weekend on 22nd September. I would recommend the 40s day out and really suggest you eat at this cafe. The staff are great. They went out of their way to seat us even though it must be one of their busiest days of the year. Before we were seated we were made aware that due to demand our food would take half an hour but they endeavoured to get the food to us asap and when it arrived it was hot and tasty and cheaper than the majority of other eateries. Would be happy to recommend this cafe to anyone and Gemma gets a special mention.

A miserable weekend weather wise but a lovely visit to this little cafe in the centre of Grassington village . Coffee & tea both good quality . The cakes are lovely but felt slices were smaller than some other cafes . Prices comparable with other cafes. Comfortable & very clean . The young waitress was a delight , friendly & very polite . Lovely outdoor area for when it’s better weather . Recommend !

Fantastic gem of a cafe in Grassington. I chose a falafel salad for lunch and it was the most interesting fresh salad I've had for a long time, with lots of different ingredients. Service is very friendly. Menu has lots of choice from small to bigger meals. I didn't have a cake but they looked great. Vegan and vegetarian options and alternatives to dairy available. Highly recommended!

Lovely cafe, friendly staff, food god too!

Full breakfast is a FULL BREAKFAST!!

We stopped at the Cafe for breakfast before heading out to the Dales for a walk. The food was very fresh and beautifully cooked! My choice pf buttered granary toast with scrambled egg was yummy. The other choices included a vegan option, a sandwich and full English breakfast- each received full marks. We finished off with cappuccino cake and a slice of passion fruit and lemon cake were a tad too sweet and slightly dry for our taste. A must visit cafe for a wonderful food experience and hospitality.

We went to The Corner House Café for lunch today, the food was very tasty and you can tell that the food is fresh and homemade. Really perfect. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Keep it up 👍! Thanks for the nice lunch break.

Extremely poor service or shall I say no service at all, as I was not welcome. Staff need some good customer service training as there was no CS. Won’t be visiting again soon. Response to owners reply. It’s interesting you went straight to the review being a spam account. If you had reviewed my profile and the reviews I’ve made, you will see it’s not a spam account and assuming I was in the wrong. I visited yesterday, having left Grassington I went to have a lunch with great service. We have just come back from a night away in Grassington and stopped here for breakfast. What a find, full english for £11.50! The breakfast was fantastic and very friendly staff who could not do enough for you. Lots of options for seating indoor and out. Definitely be visiting again when we are up there. Thank you!

Opening at 10 makes it difficult for breakfast Staff was friendly and efficient The draw back is there is no deviation from the menu My daughter asked for the bean and tomato on the side She was told the cook would not do this So either you had the items on your plate or you did without The food however was good and seems to be a favorite with locals

Love this cafe in the middle of Grassington, can recommend bacon bloomer, cappuccino & of course a sausage for the dog.

A cool breezy cloudy day sitting outside the cafe having ordered coffees and cake. Despite a longer than expected wait for the order both drinks and cake were pleasant. Our usual cafe of choice in Grassington right at the top of the village.

This is one of the best cafes in Grassington for breakfast, opens at 10.00am but is well worth the wait. The food is cooked fresh from top quality local produce. For £ 11.50 the full English breakfast is good value for money.breakfasts are only served from 10 -11.30am so get there early!

Such a lovely little cafe! We sat outside in the sunshine and the staff were lovely! The cake selection looked amazing but we had unfortunately already eaten so just had a drink! If we'd have been staying in the area longer then we would have come back!

Beautiful little cafe with some of the friendliest staff! They also had multiple vegan options. I have a vegan sausage butty and a bowl of chips. It was incredible. Really good quality and some of the best chips I've ever had. I will be recommending it to everyone I know! Thank you to the staff for making sure we had a lovely time.

Wonderful for a snack, can't comment on full meals, proper leaf tea served in a proper pot, cups and saucers, infuser in pot. Cinamen toast, very nice bread and lashings of butter. A proper tea rooms and dog friendly

We visited the pretty village of Grassington and were spoilt for choice as to where to eat . We liked the menu of this cafe and went in. We were made to feel very welcome and the staff were really helpful. The specials board was great , my husband had the Thai fish cakes which he loved . I had the beetroot falafel salad . It was so good we went again two days later as we were passing !

Found our way to this little gem in spite of the filming in the main square. A warm welcome and friendly service. Thoroughly enjoyed my garlic mushroom panini, with a side of chips shared with the worse half! Lovely coffe, was disappointed not to have room for a cake but….next time

Having enjoyed our meal when we were last holidaying in the area, we decided to return to the Corner House, but this time with black lab puppy in tow. And what a good decision it was again: lovely welcome and service, dog-friendly (of course), delicious and fairly-priced soup and sausage sandwich and a general feeling of satisfaction from fellow diners. Thank you to all staff concerned.

We came across this fabulous little cafe whilst out walking. As soon as you walk in the door, you are made to feel welcome (and dogs are welcome too!) The menu is simple, but there is something for everyone. We had luxury hot chocolates (which were absolutely amazing), paninis, and finished off with some coffee and walnut cake. The only thing to warn you about is how busy it is! People were being turned away as there were no tables. So make sure you plan your trip wisely. It’s definitely worth the visit!

A quite tiny but very quaint little cafe with friendly staff and the most incredibly well prepared food. Yes we had to wait a while (warned up front as they like to do things well rather than rush) but boy was it worth it. Lovely place and would highly recommend on a slightly damp Yorkshire day

Lovely little cafe with a great range of coffee, cakes and meals. Full English breakfast looked massive and the other meals all looked very well presented. Great range of vegan / vegetarian options too. Dog friendly as well. A great find. So good, we went back. Appears to be very popular with the locals to, a sure sign they are doing everything right 👍

Excellent lunch in this friendly wee cafe. Our dog was also made welcome. We all had paninis with salad and we shared a bowl of chips. The food was so fresh and tasty. We would heartily recommend this place for lunch when visiting Grassington.

Arrived late in the afternoon for a cuppa and cake. Others arrived shortly after, we recommended the lemon drizzle.. was sold out by the time we left. 😋

This cafe has a lovely atmosphere and very friendly and efficient staff. The full breakfast was probably the best breakfast I have had. We could not fault it. Quality ingredients and cooked to perfection!

Stopped off Sunday dinner for a bite to eat. What a lovely place. Helpful and friendly staff, great choice on the menu. Standard beef burger highly recommended.

There was 9 of us.we filled the room. Although the cafe was very busy and we had to wait a while it was the best panini we've ever tasted.

Great food and service AND pet friendly. My gam and Wensleydale cheese panini and pretty side salad was delicious. Highly recommend a visit there you won’t be disappointed.

Knowing we had kevin our very reactive papillon, we figured we would see how it went prior to committing to take seats, the staff were so patient with us and kev, what a great little welcoming cafe. We enjoyed a latte, belgium hot chocolate and fruit scone. The cafe was so busy, this didnt retract from service which was excellent , food was tasty too , thank you for your attention to detail and hospitality

I ate lunch at the cafe last week and I had what I would describe as the perfect burger! Lovely and moist and just the right amount of toppings and sauce - absolutely delicious!

Stopped here for some food after a long walk. We were lucky it wasn't too busy when we arrived and got a nice table outside. Good menu of lots of different foods. I got the special burger which came with smoked cheese, bacon and onion rings. The bun was really good and the bacon was super crispy (as I had requested). The meat itself was ok but didn't taste very beefy. If you'd told me it was made with chicken mince I would have believed it. Texture and taste was nice though, just not like any other beef burger I've had before. The chips were very nice though. Good portion and perfectly cooked. My wife got the chip butty. 2 big pieces of really lovely fresh thick bread with loads of chips inside. I also got an Iced latte which was really good. Service was very nice and friendly and we really enjoyed our meal. Would definitely come again next time we're in the area.

We called in here for drinks and cake and my goodness the cakes were amazing. My daughter said her hot chocolate was one of the best she had had. It came with a Belgian chocolate stick that you stirred into the hot milk which melted to create a gorgeous hot chocolate, genius. It is very dog friendly too. Only negative was the waitress just dumped the tray down on the table rather than handing the drinks to us. I’m sure we will be back as I want more of those cakes.

What a fabulous cafe, the service was warm and friendly and the food was excellent. Really good value for money, and gluten free was really well catered for.

Popular, so we had to sit outside, but having a large hairy dog with us would have been our first choice. Unfortunately it started to drizzle. The staff were great and told us that as soon as a table came free they would move us inside, which duly happened a few minutes later. Staff friendly and helpful, food tasty. Would recommend.

A lovely cafe, lunch was delicious, especially my vegan garlic panini. My hubby enjoyed his bacon sandwich and the bowl of chips complimented our food. The staff were very knowledgeable, professional and friendly.

Sausage sarnies to die for - the rest of the menu is brilliant too. We’ve been coming to The Corner House Cafe for many years. It is a Dales favourite grub-stop. Not only sausage and bacon sarnies after a countryside ramble, but great tea and cakes too. What not to like in this staff friendly place of Yorkshire heaven. Thank you.

Had breakfast wasn't good bacon smoked wasn't asked if we wanted and was rock hard sausage tasteless tea extra nice place but left disappointed went elsewhere next day

Stopped here for tea/coffee and scones - absolutely excellent and the staff were very friendly and efficient. There are tables both inside and outside and a nice selection of other items on the menu.

Excellent little secret of Grassington, had delicious tasty lunch , and service was excellent on the bank holiday in the sun.

Cafe in a lovely spot however latte with extra espresso shot was very very weak, almost no taste of coffee, 15% of glass milky coffee, 85% milk! Same issue with chocolate shake wife had, ice cubes and very weak, watery. Hugely disappointing given the cafes reputation for great coffee.

A lovely gem in Grassington. We stopped here for lunch. I recommend the goat cheese salad. Their paninis were also delicious. Will come back next time for a slice of dessert!

We walked past this cafe whilst doing the Dalesway. Everyone was really friendly & accomodating. The cheese on toast was delicious & well presented. There was a lovely selection of cakes too. Would highly recommend.

This is a gem tucked into a side street. The food was delicious and (almost) too beautiful to eat but of course, we did! Such nice staff and seating both inside and out.

Second visit, epic sausage, and egg sandwich. Took home ginger cake which was really good. Will be going back, such a lovely cafe with really good service.

The food was really good, however the pub was very cold and had to stay with my coat on all time, we had to wait 1 hour before we got our food. I hoped they told us before we had to wait this long, considering there were only 3 tables. We had to replan our road trip because of this delay. The lady was apologetic, in the future I would suggest to tell if there is a long wait and let the customer decides. Thanks

First time for our cycling group. Excellent friendly cafe. Ace vegi sausage sandwich. Cakes were all you could wish for.

Hour wait time when there was only 4 people inside, and cold indoors. 100% got the right place, we was told after that a big order had been placed this was the reason for the delay. So why not tell us this before we sat down? Or look after the people actually sat inside
