The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Italian food

First timmers here. The food was excellent. I have never had a chicken breast skewer so succulent. Excellent and attentive but not rushed. All in all an excellent evening and thoroughly recommend

Came to the markets just to find Panzerotto Blues and it was so good I had to have seconds! Definitely recommend. Tasty, quick and friendly service

Great wines, lovely platters and cocktail. Great service, very helpful on choices. Highly recommended.

Ice cream was of very good quality and was proper gelato. Lots of people serving so queue moved fairly quickly. Was quite hard to find as it’s covered in scaffolding. Only downside was that there is only one table to sit and eat at and it was already full

We visited late afternoon yesterday and were the only people there. The interior is lovely and really spacious. We were quickly served. My daughter had pizza and I had the penne salmon and garlic bread to share. Both were lovely. Staff were attentive but not intrusive. Lovely place.

This place serves very good food and has a good wine list, there is a fair range of wines available by the glass. The staff are friendly and the right level of attentive; the service was fine. The venue is smart, certainly a step up from many around here. There is a fixed price menu and a la carte choices too. We had the fixed price, the portion sizes were perfectly fine. The menu had some less commonly seen items, I had a very successful dish of Cornish sardines, while my wife had pancetta which she said was delicious. Overall, we definitely enjoyed our meals and our time there. Slightly on the down side, the room can be quite noisy if there are children present, and we had 12% added to our bill as a service charge (although we were only a group of three). This latter might be becoming more common, but it seems a bit off to me.

Our first visit to Vesuvius Garforth and we were really impressed. Authentic Neapolitan style pizzas cooked to perfection. Staff were very friendly and professional. A lovely experience. We’ve just got back from a holiday in Italy, we only visit Neapolitan style pizzerias and we’ve eaten pizza in many regions of Italy, including Naples. The pizzas at Vesuvius Garforth were as good if not better than anything we had before. Well done to everyone at Vesuvius, you should be very proud of your pizzeria.

We order regularly from Lupo and it’s always fantastic…except today!! Not only was my food terrible when I phoned to speak to the manager he was rude and not willing to listen to what I said. Has now put me in a position as I feel like I don’t want to order from them again with an owner who doesn’t take criticism well.

Loved this lunch spot. Visited three times in a week. Delicious food. The salad with chick peas was the best. GREAT STAFF AND GREAT ATMOSPHERE.

Went here based on the tripadvisor reviews - and the food pictures! Food looked pretty good. And it WAS good. Great food and fantastic staff, 10/10 would go again without hesitation.

This pizza spot nails it every time, 10/10! Service is fast and straightforward, and the menu's packed with great choices. They use fresh ingredients, so every pizza comes out tasting fantastic. The base is spot-on—crispy on the edges and soft in the middle. What stands out is how fresh everything tastes, and it's always delivered hot. For the price, you're getting a real deal. Thought we would give the local Dough & Deli a try, as had good reviews on social media. We ordered two Pizzas for collection that evening, total cost £17.20 which I felt reasonable. We collected at the allotted time and brought them home. We had a Meat Feast and a Sausage and Sweet Chilli toppings. Both tasted delicious, my only negative comment is that both should have been cooked a little longer. Both bases were, we felt undercooked, very doughy and chewy would have benefited from a little longer in the over to crisp and colour them up. Would we order again most certainly and probably just ask if the bases could be given a little longer in the oven.
