What a find!! Can not recommend this Tea Room highly enough. We’ve had lots of cream teas over the years, but Bramdowns is the best ever. The homemade scones were amazing. The service was first class and so friendly. The decor and the crockery are lovely, also with the music in the background you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Thoroughly enjoyed it, so much more than just a cream tea. Long May you continue, Ladies. Next time we’re passing by Porlock, Bramdowns, is a definite stop off.

This cafe is the type you dream of ….. a friendly welcome, excellent menu plus cakes & scones. We believe every food item on sale is homemade on the premises. Lovely surroundings, friendly & welcoming. If they are selling home-made crumpets, strongly recommend you buy some (we bought take away crumpets). A really super cafe - lucky Porlock! (And it is dog friendly!✔️).

At the end of a bracing walk we were in need of refreshments. We stumbled across this wonderful tea room. A warm greeting was soon forgotten when we discovered the cakes/scones on display all home baked by the owner. And all washed down by “proper” tea in a China tea pot. Just wonderful and British !!!

As soon as you enter you are transported back to the rather.more genteel times of the tween war tea rooms, and it's heavenly! Beautiful floral mismatched tea sets, tiny little tea pots, old fashioned "high"tea items and (bliss) Glen Miller music in the background! All beautiful!! All the food on offer seems home made, tasty and gorgeous, a real treat in these times of burgers and happy meals. The staff are divine and complete the picture of old fashioned hospitality, we loved it!!!!

Had our evening meal here on Tuesday. By far the best we’ve had in the week. Tasty starters, the chicken pie was delicious with very light pastry, the lasagna was really nice too. Followed by great desserts. Washed down with local cider. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Very attentive staff, and all food prepared on the premises. Definitely recommend it and will go back next time I’m in the area.

Stopped in at Porlock on way home from family holiday. We were so happy to have found this tearoom. Friendly owners & staff, really kind and either though we were not waiting for long at all, they kept us updated on how long our food would be. My children loved their milkshakes. We had sandwiches with homemade gorgeous coleslaw which were amazing. The ploughman’s was huge and lovely and the cheese scone went down a treat. We even bought cakes & home home crumpets to take home. We also Loved using the cups & saucers. 6 lunches, cakes & crumpets with drinks for £70. Very reasonable. Finding a place like this means we will definitely return. Thank you so much.

Everything on the menu at this cosy, traditional cafe was homemade - and you could definitely tell by how fresh, flavoursome and tasty it was! The soups was delicious and we’d also recommend the cheese scones with homemade chutney. The menu was extensive, with a multitude of classic home-cooked options, although a slimmed down version would have been equally good and may have made things a bit less frantic for the staff! The decor was traditional but could perhaps do with a bit of a refresh. The layout also didn’t make the most of the space in the cafe, so some people were turned away due to lack of space. A bit of a refresh and a rethink could make this tearoom even better and allow even more people to enjoy the fantastic home cooked food.

Walking up though Porlock on a brisk morning a sign offering savoury home made crumpets caused my daughter and I to push open the door on Mrs Jackson’s Victorian Tea Rooms. Inside a roaring stove with the doors open, white table clothes and an assortment of bone china on the tables. I am guessing it was Mrs Jackson who appeared in what would have once been her sitting room after a chat about the merits of cheese scones versus savoury crumpets we opted for the latter - 2 taller than your average shop bought crumpets (and incidentally far lighter) appeared topped with cheese and a dish of spiced tomato chutney . Forget your designer coffee list of umpteen unnecessary concoctions - it’s a cafetière of either smooth or strong coffee, hot or cold milk - job done

This delightful tea room has a vast menu with something for everyone. There is a large number of different types of tea to choose from. The whole place is decorated with quaint Victorian ornaments. The staff were lovely and friendly and we would definitely go again. And they welcome muddy boots and dogs!

We chanced on this tea room and could so easily have gone to one of the several in this small town. Although we can't speak for any of the others we feel so lucky we chose this one. We ordered the fruit scones for our cream teas. They were simply the best cream teas that we have had to date, and we've had loads. The decor of the tea room was very traditional for a classic tea room and no doubt helped to make the experience so good.

First time using bapmobile since it changed hands, absolutely fantastic service and the food was amazing. I called them up to place my order, I was told to make my way down in 10/15 minutes. When I arrived the food was pretty much ready. The lad that served me was very polite. The food was absolutely beautiful, I had the cheese and bacon burger with onions. Food was piping hot and was to die for. I for sure can definitely recommend bapmobile.I will 100% be using bapmobile in the very near future. We'll done mate keep doing what you are doing 👍

Amanda did all the catering for my birthday celebrations in Woolavington, Bridgwater, and she really did me proud. Amanda guided me towards an easily managed menu suitable for all ages ranging from 2 to 95 years. It worked perfectly. Friday night's hot meal on was followed the next day by a hot buffet (chicken provencal, cottage pie and dauphinoise potatoes), salads, a wonderful lemon meringue pie, huge chocolate cake, breads, sausage rolls, large quiche and much more. The really generous portions fed 20 adults and 6 children with left overs. The food was much-praised with the outstanding comment came from one young granddaughter who can be rather choosy. Having asked who made the cottage pie she declared it to be the best she had ever had - praise indeed. I would not hesitate to recommend Amanda and her catering. Thank you.

We stopped here for breakfast on the way to Lynmouth and what a breakfast it was. We had the small breakfast which consisted of egg, bacon, sausage, tomato and beans which were thoughtfully served in a ramekin dish rather than the sauce running wild all over the plate. Everything was yummy and cooked to perfection. It would have been a ....sin to leave without tasting one of the cakes in display at the counter and so we did and I believe it was a carrot cake which was delicious (soft, moist and tasty). The coffee was good too. The staff were very welcoming, the place was beautifully decorated and spotless and so were the toilets

We visit regularly and love to see what new Cakes there is to try 😋 Tried quite a few and never had one we didn't like, strongly suggest the homemade donuts on the weekends!! 😱
