We booked a reservation here around six months ago and were looking forward to it. Our time slot was from six until eight. We walked from our apartment not wanting to be late. We arrived about ten minutes early. We gave our name to the young lad in front of us and a lady sat at the table directly in front of us looking at a computer screen said they’re early. She never looked up or smiled. I found that rather rude. The waitress that served us was very nice and the fish pie was delicious. I also felt the prices were at the top and of a cafe.

A lovely, high-end restaurant right on the water near the Old Course. Beautiful views out the large pane glass windows. Excellent service and delicious food, wonderfully presented. A lovely spot to celebrate a special occasion. We will definitely return.

We have eaten here before and it was really really good, I think it has now changed hands and found it a bit different. Menu choices was more limited than we hoped, prices are higher and service just wasn’t as friendly or attentive. Friday night booking and place was half full. At the end of the meal I asked for coffee and was told the machine had just been cleaned, so no coffee. That was disappointing after spending so much as a group

Little’s restaurant is located … in a former church. Hence the settings are quite extraordinary with a very high ceiling. We has the seafood terrine and smoked salmon, the breaded langoustines and the halibut fillet with its seafood fricassee. We shared the berry sable as dessert. And we were lucky enough to be served Kopparberg cider (the « Rolls » of the cider!). Seafood and fish were fresh, perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious, Efficient service and fair prices for the quality proposed.

Wow, the food was absolutely amazing and the staff were so warm and welcoming on a chilly autumn evening. The smoked haddock soufflé was unforgettable! The restaurant has a lovely, cozy, pub feel but the food is absolutely top notch. So unexpected at the bottom of a windy road. I hope one day to make it back to experience it all over again, just wonderful.

We came across this restaurant whilst on a walk after visiting blackness castle. What a great find. We had 4 kids with us and they loved looking at all the interesting paintings and nautical artefacts. They enjoyed exploring outside too in the beer garden. Both adults had the haddock and it was delicious, tasted fresh and good portion size. Kids all enjoyed theirs too and yummy ice cream included in their meal price. Worth travelling for…we will be back 🙂

I had two wonderful experiences with Waypoint Restaurant in one week! The first was a surprise dinner I threw for my husband the week leading up to our wedding. I worked with Gill for months planning the details from the dinner itself to the water taxis to take our friends and family from Oban to the island. Let me just say, she was an absolute delight to work with. Finally meeting her in person on the day was just the icing on the cake. Everyone raved about the dinner and Gill! She and her team just made us feel right at home. The second was a lunch after an excursion on the island for our wedding guests. It was just the perfect way to relax after a day outdoors. Once again, Waypoint outdid themselves. My husband and I plan to return to Scotland and Oban one day and a visit to Waypoint will be high on our list.

First, Crail is a quaint town with great views. Lots to offer here but Reilly Shell Shack was a must on our list. My grandson had not had crab or lobster before. So he and I had one of each to try and compare. For me a seafood lover, it was the BEST. My favorite in the UK. For my grandson, nothing will compare to this, the taste, the experience, and the town.

Popped in for a pit stop - chips, a bacon roll and a bowl of soup of the day, alongside a hot chocolate, a latte and a diluting juice. Our server was friendly and helpful. The food and drinks arrived quickly and we thoroughly enjoyed it all. A clean, busy establishment. Would visit again.
