Love this hotel! Unique in every way. Each room has a name not a number. There are poetic quotes on the walls. The beds are very comfortable! Nice bar in front. Sam is the receptionist, bartender & housekeeper. She is the best!! Very knowledgeable about the area and friendly. The location is great! Highly recommend. One of the cutest rooms I’ve stayed in. Definitely recommend.

On arrival we had a lovely warm welcome from Angus and Jason. Our room was in the Walled Garden and had tea, coffee, water, hairdryer, mini fridge etc.Very comfortable, and just a short walk to the main building.Every detail was considered. We woke in the morning to some snow ,and as if by magic the path to the main house had been already cleared for us. Can I just say the food and service ,by again, Jason and Angus at dinner was exemplary. Wine choices from Jason were perfect. The food, by chef Scott was amazing.Wow! Probably one of the best meals we’ve ever had. Bravo to all. 👏We will be back. Hopefully for longer next visit. Scottish hospitality at its best. Thanks again to all.

We've visited a few times now for both lunch and dinner and have really enjoyed the experience. The food is delicious, the restaurant itself is beautiful, the service has always been very good and the view is spectacular! The restaurant also has a little drinks terrace overlooking the river, which seems to be very popular in the summer. Will definitely be back!

Stopped for lunch here while enjoying Tobermory, we did not stay at the hotel. The restaurant is on the harbor and the inside is a traditional Scottish coastal heritage. Extensive menu with many seafood options. Full ball with a wide variety of local whiskeys. Service was excellent. Food was 3 stars only . Husband had the Cullen skink which had a lot of bones in it so he had a hard time with it. I had fish and chips, fish was only okay but the chips were awesome!

the names changed CAFE BELLA firstly we should of walked straight a way the customers were looking glum. then we realised most were waiting a long time for meals. we sat down to order and found that the waiter told us every thing was off the menu except over priced fish and chips he hassled us to order quickly and ran around at high speed .after getting our food there was a hurry get our money and leave..he cleared the table whilst we were still drinking our teas and coffee. he was also very rude to other customers beacause they wanted to see a menu ..A WARNING TO FUTURE CUSTOMERS >>>>STAY AWAY>>>>

This is a delightful guesthouse for big group trips. Chloe and Lydia were very helpful and welcoming. We were up for a milestone birthday celebration and enjoyed a Full Scottish Breakfast before a memorable lunch for 16 of us. The surrounding area is beautiful and despite battling Storm Babet we enjoyed the unspoilt scenery. The In. Is a short drive away from the world famous Gleneagles Golf Resort and we were warmly welcomed by all the locals in the area. Highly Recommended.

The restaurant is one we have visited reasonably often as it is local, friendly and has a lovely view. The menu has enough choice and is tasty enough. However on our last visit we were given an arrival time of 7.45 pm but when we sat down we were almost immediately asked for our orders with no time to read the menu or the wine list. We really didn't linger over studying the menu but she obviously wanted to get the order into the kitchen as fast as she could - 3 times she pressed us and it did feel very hurried. Study the wine list? No time .... opt for the house white because there wasn't time to look for anything else. I do understand that kitchens need to finish up but then perhaps make the last booking a little earlier to accommodate this?

Went for lunch. Really warm welcome and just got ourselves a table as it was reasonably busy (it was a beautiful day). Great homemade soup and sandwiches and tea that wasn't wishy-washy. Smashing selection of cakes available. Have to hand it to the staff for the lovely atmosphere and to the site for the brilliant views! Will be back.

Poor service from staff and the manager was very rude We asked for an amaretto waiting for over 30 minutes to be told there’s no Amaretto in the building Wrong the bar down stairs had an abundance of it He came down to the other bar and had a go and myself Unbelievable !!! Poor service and the manager 3 letter name who I can’t say on this review who was on that evening requires customers relations training.
