The restaurant is one we have visited reasonably often as it is local, friendly and has a lovely view. The menu has enough choice and is tasty enough. However on our last visit we were given an arrival time of 7.45 pm but when we sat down we were almost immediately asked for our orders with no time to read the menu or the wine list. We really didn't linger over studying the menu but she obviously wanted to get the order into the kitchen as fast as she could - 3 times she pressed us and it did feel very hurried. Study the wine list? No time .... opt for the house white because there wasn't time to look for anything else. I do understand that kitchens need to finish up but then perhaps make the last booking a little earlier to accommodate this?

What a meal, my wife and mother in law are both coeliacs. Most of the menu was gluten free or adaptable. They had fantastic fish and chips. It was so good, followed by a crumble with roast coconut and maple crumble. It was to die for. Chef certainly knows what he is doing. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the owners were also on hand and invested in ensuring you have a great experience here. First class!!

Went for afternoon tea a couple of weeks ago using a Groupon voucher. This has to be the oddest afternoon tea I've ever had-and not in a good way. Afternoon tea started with a tray with a couple of meat pies, sausage rolls and some sandwiches which looked like they had come from a supermarket and simply cut into quarters. Oh, and there was a small cup of soup (actually quite nice, but for afternoon tea??) After this a small tray of ‘cakes’ arrived. This comprised 2 scones, squirty cream, jam in prepackaged individual sachets (as you would might see in a budget breakfast buffet) together with a couple of squares of flapjack/millionaires shortcake-again looked like they came straight from a packet. The website says it charges £28 for two people for afternoon tea. Frankly if I had paid £28 for what we had I’d have felt pretty ripped off. With a Groupon voucher it was just about acceptable. Not recommended though if this really is the usual standard of afternoon tea-and certainly not one for a special occasion. On the positive side-the setting is lovely; overlooking the cathedral, and the staff are charming, helpful and friendly.

Visited for some lunch the venue is near the Cathedral so easy to locate. Parking is nearby, but it might be different in mid summer. The menu was presented and the was a limited choice for the lunch menu, but it was adequate. Drinks were organised and the starter arrive quite quickly. These were flavourable and well presented. The mains were there quickly served the portions were well presented, but the fish was a battered finger with some mash and the other was a mushroom stroganof in large bowl with round of rice. The dishes were in themselves tasted fine. One of use finished quite quickly and the other too a lot of time. I would go back but perhaps it would be at night perhaps.

Lovely brasserie, great staff and atmosphere. We called in as they were on gourmet society list, this is an error. However, I am not surprised the food is excellent value without discount. We had Cullen skink, haddock croquette as startes and both had a very generous venison portion . Wished we lived nearer I think we would be there every week.. too full for dessert.

Eaten here several times and always enjoyed my meal. Pleasant service and you are very relaxed. Not too noisy with nice selection of meals. Good view of Cathedral through the windows adds to relaxed atmosphere.

Best afternoon tea I've had. Sandwiches were delicious - lovely bread with substantial and tasty fillings, Cakes, scones and coffee excellent. The member of staff who served us could not have been more helpful and friendly. Will definitely be back again.

We are regulars here: the service is excellent (the staff can't do enough) as is the food. The ambience is classy and relaxed and the outdoor tables are great in the summer sunshine. Highly recommended.

One of the worst meals we've ever had the misfortune to sit down to. See my full review under the hotel, didn't realise there was a separate entry.

We popped in for lunch and had soup and a couple of paninis. Very tasty cream of celeriac soup and nice fillings for the panini (Scottish brie and cranberry). Modern surroundings with high airy ceiling. Just opposite Dunblane cathedral.

Staying at the hotel and resisted the cooked breakfast on the first three mornings opting instead for porridge and poached eggs. Thought the last morning I would treat my self and was so pleased I did. The welcome is warm, the server very very friendly...

This restaurant was opened in 2013, but isn't well publicised outwith Dunblane. We only stumbled across it by accident at the weekend. It is part of the Old Church House hotel, but is open to non-residents and so deserves separate mention. Well worth a trip....

For the price it's pretty good, but it's true that the service was a bit rushed and inside the place they have two wasted and obstructed bars.

Stopped here for a drink here on a busy Saturday afternoon, plenty bar staff working so was served after a short wait. Most of the tables were taken, however found a spot where we could stand or we had a couple of free stools. What was immediately noticeable were empty glasses and surfaces very stick, something that could be easy to get done but possibly not enough staff in general. I've limited mobility so it's a hike to the downstairs toilet. I think that's where I found a big issue, this is a big city centre pub, with no hand dryer or paper towels, which is absolutely disgusting if anyone thinks that this is acceptable in 2024 going into 2025 then we are going back to the dark ages. This needs to to sorted or reported to the local authorities.

Excel·lent Hotel, small, friendly keepers, in a pedestrian street. The parking is a bit away but free during the night. Good breakfast, but no dinner, with plenty of options not far away. Double room (it was set at twins, but they modified it to please us) with a reasonable bathroom.

I can really recomend both the food and the accomodation at The Craigs Hotel in Callander. We had a lovely stay with a genuine indian dinner, dinner was excellent! friendly staff, in a well looked after hotell. Thankyou from us Lena Hadal and Tim Carter
