For the price it's pretty good, but it's true that the service was a bit rushed and inside the place they have two wasted and obstructed bars.

A must visit while in the area. Everything I've had has been gorgeous. Friendly staff and pleasant.

Place did not look clean at all, overpriced, food tasted borderline stale, the bread to my sandwich had a funny taste as if it had been placed on a dirty counter, the ham was awful quality and we both binned the items we purchased which were also expensive. The shortbread tasted like a dirty oven. Disappointing.

its just the best wee bakery and take away food. Our kids love the roll n sausage and the various roll n anything options! plus the paninis and plenty of fresh hearty sandwiches. sensibily priced and the cakes are calorie busting good.

Waited ages to pay over £5 for 4 scones that l can't even chew through! Not fresh, not acceptable for the prices. Never had a worse scone. Won't be back.

The service is not friendly. We were disappointed with the macaroni pie which lacked flavor. The one with steak and hagis is better.

Day out in Callander with great weather so opted to eat Al fresco by the river. Sandwiches, drinks and pie from the Main Street Bakery. Great freshly made food with hot coffee and cold drinks. The steak pie was one of the best I have had, well filled with tasty gravy. The egg and tomato sandwich was also very good. Highly recommended

After a nice lunch and a stroll through Callander, we stopped at the bakery for a dessert. We had a strawberry cream puff and an apple cream scone. Both were very good. While there, we recognized that great variety of desserts and pies on display and wished that we were around long enough to try more. Prices were good.

Great place for a coffee and a steak n haggis pie

Stopped here to buy a roll and something snacky for an upcoming cycle. The rolls were nice but significantly overpriced - £4.10 for a small chicken and bacon roll? The white chocolate cookie was totally burnt on the underside - unfortunately we didn't see this till tasting it later.

Steak pies are simply awesome! Don't be surprised if you get stopped leaving the town, being asked for proof you bought at least 1, or at least they should!

We were in search of coffee and some baked goods. Thos place popped up as being close by, open, and good reviews. We were thoroughly pleased! The two ladies working were extremely helpful! We asked for recommendations and seeing as we are from the States, they asked if we had tried haggis or blood pudding yet. Haggis was on our list to try so they recommended the haggis pie. We told them we'd tried blood pudding in London and we weren't crazy about it. They told us their was different, so we decided to give it a go. My husband also got a sausage roll. All three items were delicious! We plan to go back before we head to Edinburgh 🙂

Felt like we were in the way of the locals to be served by a woman who was extremely unfriendly ,then to top it off she didn't even get the order correct ,we left to eat it, discovering 1 steak pie 1 scotch supposed to be 2 steak which we paid for ,this bakery was expensive for all we got ,we also bought 1 piece of tablet as it was for charity but very unhelpful, ungrateful worker ,perceived to us angry really

A wonderful traditional Scottish bakery serving all manner of treats at a good price.. Pies, cakes, pastries, sandwiches and even piping hot stovies. Fully recommend.

Cheap and cheerful pie stop when passing through, Mum was a fan. Full of steak, definitely worth a stop if you’re hungry.

Stopped in for a quick snack on the way back to Edinburgh. The bakery offers an impressive selection of pies, sandwiches cakes and other hot snacks and drinks. I chose a chicken curry and a macaroni pie. The chicken curry pie had a generous portion of diced chicken, a nice mild curry sauce, a layer of onions and a lovely crispy pastry. The macaroni pie was packed full of macaroni with a topping of roasted cheese. Again, the pastry was nice and crispy. Definitely a worthwhile stop of you dance a quick snack on the road.

Lovely, cosy place to eat someting hot or cold while visiting Callander. The steak pie is the best in the area in my opinion and kids love double choc cookies. We are coming back every time we are nearby and would defo recommend

Coffee, bacon, and black pudding on a roll. 👌 Cheaper than the hotel breakfast and was enough to start the day.

Visited today and got a steak and black pudding pie and sausage roll. Plenty filling in pie , but not too fused about sausage roll. Not enough meat in it. Would try other pies on another visit .

Margaret the owner is a super star and all the staff are great. Traditional treats and they even have treacle scones and bannock for the authentic Scottish bakery experience!

They cook theyre bacon a griddle type thing and it comes out looking like I've roasted it in my tar lorry.

Totally disappointed Bought a fugde cake. It was dry and rock solid and stale. Very disappointed on my first visit to Callander since I was a kid. Won't be back.

Excellent little bakery. Hot or cold food served . Recommend the haggis and steak pie ( hot ) also the hot macaroni pie and steak pie . Service with a smile and reasonable prices aswell. Definitely 1 of the best pies I've ate . 😋

Always visit Mhor bakery when in callander to buy a Chilli and cheese loaf. The bakery is expensive. It has a prime location on main st and is a tourist haven. Quality of products is excellent, so its worth the treat. TIP: get there as early as you can in the morning. If you go at even 2pm, you will find most products sold out as they bake on a daily basis.

Very busy shop, with locals buying..... always a good sign 🙂, great selection of tasty food and drinks, great prices and friendly helpful staff, will be back.

An excellent bakery; I had a chicken & mushroom pie to takeaway. Staff were super friendly and heated up a pie for me when the one I wanted wasn't already in the oven. And great prices! Pie was like £2! Highly recommend

I’m not a pie person and my husband and I just bought one steak pie for a quick snack. OMG I have never had such a delicious pie. I went back in and bought 6 to bring home. I wish they did online orders as I would get a regular supply!

Great bakery. Very reasonably priced, can have pies hot or cold. Good selection of tray bakes and cakes. Can’t wait to come back! The pies are 10/10 best I’ve ever had.

Steak pies from this shop are an essential part of our journey to the Highlands. I've yet to find any that beat these!

Awesome rolls and very friendly staff.

All their produce is freshly made each day and they close when sold out. Sampled their apple pies and blackberry pies today and both were delicious. The pastry was soft and crumbly and not too sweet. Both were generously filled and the blackberry was a particularly nice combination of tart and sweetness.

Macaroni pie's are amazing so is there Bridies also do good rolls on different things

What a nice place to get your fresh bread and pies all baked on the premises I’m told The staff seem chatty and friendly you can by the looks of things eat in or takeaway no delivery tho parking outside if your lucky and a little car park just round the corner So pop in and try the pies hot or cold

Calendar is lovely, but there are no lovely cafes. If the weather is kind I would totally recommend the main street bakery. A lovely cup of homemade soup sitting in the sunshine.

Nice pies. We had chicken and mushroom, while the little one loved the one with macaroni. You can order them cold or hot. You also get a nice variety of hot/cold rolls. Try them out, quite reasonably priced.
