The best restaurants serving Seafood food in East Midlands

Ordered Donner kebab with chips and salad through Uber Eats and salad didn't come. Tried to call to rectify but got no answer. Sauces are almost flourescent, must use some colourings in it. Battered mushrooms were ridiculously oily. Usually order from here as it is the most convenient but won't again. Last time we got salad it was bright green, probably used colourings to cover the rotten salad. Maybe it is good we didn't get any this time!

I am going to share an honest review, however, it is partially a bad one. Not sure if the shop has been taken over, but regular chips was not regular. It was in a small tray whereas before it was in a bag. Not enough for 2 people. I really enjoyed the chip shop before and was looking forward to eating my meal. Tonight’s meal cost me over £32, not good I’m afraid. Chicken was good though - sorry 😔

Great value dish and chip shop. Good portion sizes on chips. Clean inside, polite service, usual chip shop selection of foods.

Find them a bit pricey compared to other places, but I enjoy their food for what it is 🙂

The food itself was just about eatable and was fair for value, although I do feel the chips portions were a bit small, the one staff member was rude and a bit sarcastic, would not be going there again

Used to go here all the time but it's gone downhill Had a piece of fish that was all sloppy/thick batter and as a result pretty gross. Mentioned it to the guys and they just said 'oh' and shouted out back 'not happy with batter' and then that was it Wont be back - there are better chippies in Stamford

Simply the Best Fish and Chips around for miles you have got to give them a try you will not be disappointed Well done Team Eagles

Have been using this chip shop for over 25 years Has changed hands several times sometimes for the better some times not. New owners took over about a year ago. Although we don’t go often it took a while for the over exuberant owner to calm down and serve good fish and chips. Visited tonight for my husband’s birthday treat to find they had run out of batter. They offered fried fish but that didn’t appeal. We both had donor meat that seemed very greasy but tasted good and nice chips. How can a fish and chip shop run out of batter!!!!. If nothing else they could have made their own.

Decided to try here as ‘Best of MH’ highly recommends. Was awful - dry fish, soggy batter, bland mushy peas. Probably worst fish & chips we ever had.

Having been keen to see it open after flooding at Christmas it was such a shame that it took 40 minutes waiting for coffee. The sit wait to be asked what you want simply makes the process longer. To be able to use a machine to get a drink or help yourself to a snack would free up the many staff from running around. It’s been closed for repairs and renovations for 4 months. It is a shame that this was not used as an opportunity to improve processes and efficiency which would have made it a better experience. It’s like nothings changed.

Ordered food 2 hours ago not ordering off these again my daughter is getting her tea at 21.49 she is in bed now very disappointed with the service they didn't even offer any discount on our tea would not recommend this chip shop .

Absolutely the best fish and chips I’ve eaten in a long time. The batter was so crispy and the fish was thick and cooked to perfection. Medium chips more than enough for two and my husband said his mushy peas were excellent. Definitely be returning for more.

The fish was like 2 smaller pieces together with the centre of fish missing. Chips was miniscule to say the least for a large portion and not the best at all far from it. Not again I would rather pay for delivery from Retford.
