Having been keen to see it open after flooding at Christmas it was such a shame that it took 40 minutes waiting for coffee. The sit wait to be asked what you want simply makes the process longer. To be able to use a machine to get a drink or help yourself to a snack would free up the many staff from running around. It’s been closed for repairs and renovations for 4 months. It is a shame that this was not used as an opportunity to improve processes and efficiency which would have made it a better experience. It’s like nothings changed.

Called in here after visiting Waterside Garden Centre, decided to stop for lunch, Was shown to a table and given 2 menus. And we waited and we waited and we waited for someone to take our order. After over 20 minutes we gave up and left. The waitresses were so busy 5 of them including 2 with order tablets they had to time to stand around next to the coffee service area gossoping. One with a order tablet had time to go round behind the coffee machine area and help herself to what looked like a tin Hero's or Roses, while we sat waiting for our order to be taken. The point is this is the second time this year this has happened yo us, but it won't be a third as we have no intention of visiting again. AVOID.

Took my mum out for Sunday lunch and it was great. Choice of roasts. Plenty of pudding choices. You order at the counter and are given a number then get your drinks and pay. You food is delivered by friendly servers piping hot to you table approx 5/10 mins later. This week we had roast pork with crackling, apple sauce, stuffing, roast and boiled potatoes, 3 sorts of veg in a dish and gravy. All freshly prepared and piping hot. £20 with drinks can't be bad. We had lovely cheesecake after at an extra £2.99. Excellent value for money. Nice and clean and good service.

The place gets very busy for Sunday lunch so we arrived early 12:15 and ordered lunch (Roast Beef ) and sat down with the numbered spoon exhibited on our table, The meal came up very quickly and in my opinion had been plated up earlier expecting the usual rush, It was not hot at all and the quality of the meal was not as it used to be the beef was tough and it would help also if the Knives were sharpened, I have mentioned this on previous visits but it falls on deaf ears. I do not think anyone ever reads tripadvisor at this restaurant as there are never any comments from management

We went to the Oasis Restaurant within Waterside Garden Centre for tea and cake on Monday 18th July and was disgusted with the standard of hygiene. All the cakes were sitting in the fridge uncovered with flies sitting on them in vast numbers, we decided this was not the place to have a drink and walked out. I spoke to one of the assistants on the way out who did not seem to care about the situation. Be warned if you buy a cake from the restaurant it could of had flies or other flying insects on it during the day or previous days. We will not be going back. Stay well clear!

This is a popular restaurant set in the Waterside garden centre at Baston. It offers Sunday roasts, during the week it serves delicious jacket potatoes served with a side salad, meat pasties, other hot food together with cold options and lots of tempting cakes.

I have been using Waterside for many year, and watched it develope in to this fantastic centre. The restuarant we visit most weeks for coffee or lunch and are very happy with the food and the service, nothing is too much trouble. In the garden centre, well what can I say ,the most amazing selection of plants pots ect,and the most helpful staff wether answering my query or loading my compost in to my car. In the restaurant we always sit in the libray and watch the owl with her eggs and the n chicks,it's just fascinating Price on everything we are always happy with

Went to pay for our lunch with a Scottish £20 note and they refused to take it. They said it was policy not to take them as Irish and Scottish notes were often forged! I asked for them to test it and they said they did not have that facility. I can only assume they do not test English ones either. It completely spoiled our day out as I have never had money refused before. Certainly won't return , the person on the customer services desk just shrugged her shoulders and said it was policy not to accept anything but English notes.

I visited this garden centre today to look round and have lunch I choose the 2 course carvery lunch! The main course came up fine and was very enjoyable. But the desert I had to eventually ask one of the staff to get for me as I guess I could still be there now waiting for it! As they don't seem to have in place any system that tells them who has ordered desert and who hasn't because I noticed another couple had the same problem. Surely it's easy to do the same as Morrison's and just leave the number one is giving for food until main and desert have been delivered. Yes I would go back again as it has plenty of parking although the plant area was lacking some what in plants I put it down to the time of year. They also have a food shop come butchery which I found to be rather expensive compared to others I have been in. If I hadn't had such a long wait for my desert I would have rated it higher.

Whatever you want from a garden centre you will probably find it among the comprehensive selection of plants and accessories here. There is a excellent restaurant / café and several franchise stores. The prices are not bargain basement but the quality of the items is good. You can buy meat and other foodstuffs in the store. We thought it was worth the 30 mile each way trip...

Visited restaurant last Sunday. no carvery or menu on display no smells of cooking. It was past 2 o clock but staff informed us full menu available till 4. We went for a baguette, was informed only brown rolls left, said ok ,but it was dry ,only half the size of a baguette and cost £3.95! The salad garnish was limp and brown, not fresh. What a rip off! Scones are great and I had a lime pie which was good. This restaurant used to be excellent, what's happened?

Passing by on our journey home we called again and found a very similar centre to last time we were there plenty to see and good selection of plants though not quite the time for buying. The asset to this garden centre is the different outlets so it it like a little mini village. Did not use the restaurant this time as the queue was long and moving very slowly and all we wanted was a pot of tea.

We haven't visited for a few months but decided as it was local we would pop in for Sunday lunch.Oh dear, it wasn't even 1.30 and the beef was cut and covered in foil, the pork looked like a pre-cut, boiled version. It was insipid and unappetising. We promptly left, disappointed and hungry.

The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the service is invariably good. There is a library area which is tranquil therefore ideal when in the company of family and friends. The coffee and cakes on offer are fairly reasonably priced but I have not tried their meals for quite some time as previously I found them quite expensive for what was on available.

Super garden centre, amazing Christmas decorations. Eaten here so many times, never disappointed, super food and portion sizes. I'd say a little over priced though, it's a garden centre not a pub or restaurant where you get served. Lots of staff, garden centre staff knowledgeable and friendly. Loads of restaurant staff, mixed bag.

The roast lunch was very disappointing as we had previously enjoyed meals there. The vegetables weren't freshly prepared and were limp. By the time we had queued to get a drink and pay, our meals were getting cold. Having complained to the manager, he agreed that there were shortcomings with the system as other food is cooked to order. Hopefully they will soon sort out the problems.

Recently visited and found it to be a Great place to visit. Garden centre has lots of choice and well laid out with value for money. Visited restaurant and was pleased to see they now offer gluten free options, ordered GF baguette but was disappointed to see that it was prepared on same board and with same utensils as non GF bread etc not sure if staff are aware but this causes cross contamination. We won't let this put us off as we really like garden centre and other shops there but would not be happy eating in restaurant as this can make my husband I'll. I would certainly recommend the garden centre with its lovely play area.

Have been here many times since we moved to the area some six years ago. The guy who owns it, Dave - its actually Andy but he calls everyone Dave - is brilliant. He cares about what is sold here and if he is not satisfied with a product, it is removed.Garden, furniture, clothing, wonderful country food. Buy with confidence, you will return.

Have been visiting for coffee and cake for some time.Yesterday went for lunch, bread roll and fillings very fresh served with a mixed salad. My meringue was large and filled with strawberries and double cream (naughty but lovely). My partner had a huge slice of very lemony lemon meringue pie. The hot meals are freshly cooked and the meat pies are made in their own kitchens using meat from their own butchery department. The staff are friendly and helpful . This made a very pleasing interlude ina busy day, one to be repeated in the future.

These were by far the worst chips I've ever had. The only positive thing I can say is the lady that served me was polite. Not sure how many times they've cooked these or if the oils needs changing. Even my dogs turned their noses up at them

We are blessed in Deeping with two class chippies. Linfords hasn't been around as long as it's rival (The Boundary), but it's still an established fixture of around 30 years.

love to visit this fish and chip shop, their service is amazing and so is the food. There is a range of different options on the menu not just fish and chips which gives every member of the family more than one option on what they would like to eat. I would recommend this fish and chips shop to anyone who is thinking of visiting.

Firsty went into the chip shop and speaking to the man behind the till ended up having things on the till I didn't ask for so had to say numerous times what I wanted. Ordered small chips, large chips, 2 cod, peas, curry and a small sausage. Got home with my fish and chips and all I can say is I will never eat from here again, Chips were overcooked and dry, and it's certain they have been cooked in oil that's been fried and fried and fried, horrible chips. The two cods I ordered were in edible, full of oil and stuck batter to the paper, chucked this in the bin not happy at all, WORST FISH IVE EVER HAD. Safe to say I will never go back here and hop others don't either
