Sorry to say the batter was not right it was,t crispy it was like rubber not a nice crisy bubly batter

Usually great from here. But on this occasion fish was burnt ! Batter was really overdone burnt hence fish was not tasty. So not value for money on this occasion…..

Lovely food and generous portions as always, only disappointment food was a little on the cold side this time, thankfully I have a microwave.

Ordered and paid for a tomato sauce, but did not receive it. Please could I have a refund for £1.50?

normally love the food from here. had an order tonight that wasn't as good as it usually is. kebabs had way too much sauce, not enough salad and the meat didn't taste as good. and one of the items didn't arrive so i am awaiting a refund. I know this is a one off as typically they are very good. just tonight it wasn't.

Went there tonight first time ordering never again had mini fish and chips I cut into the fish looked lovely put it in my mouth and it was off, smelt it, it smelt rank how anyone can cook a piece of fish that smells like that is beyond belief then serve it to a customer with a smile on their face is disgusting knowing full well it was off. Didn't even feed it to the dog don't want a huge vet bill

First time visitor and last I'm afraid. Chips we're just OK, but the pie was rock hard I suspect it was in the hot cabinet all day.The large curry sauce wa s small definitely not large.Service was fine ,however prices so exspensive in my opinion for what you got.

Disappointing on this occasion. Spam fritters were massively overcooked. Batter inedible and fritters were stuck completely to the batter and very hard.

Cod fish taste like salty fish and definitely not fresh. Will never go again for sure.

Food was excellent this place is back to being my favourite the kebab chicken and garlic mayo is the best.

Not my usual go to ‘Pizza Point’, but hey, ‘Flames’ does what it says on the tin. Two for one pizza offer came hot, and twenty minutes early. Thank you and well done all the team at ‘Flames’ keep up the good work.😬

The worst fish and chips I have ever had!!Over cooked fish & soggy bruised chips. It was out for delivery that long the batter was like rubber when it got to me. My first & last time ordering from here. Absolutely awful.

Food was fresh and hot, we love the chicken kebab meat from here. So decided to try them again. I wasn’t disappointed this time.

Gone downhill since new management. Came to collect twice in past month and both times chips were cold, servers are kids, not efficient service

Food was awful, fish was dry and tiny for large cod. Mushy peas just water. Curry sauce tiny. Chips not cooked enough. Bread roll dry. Sausages overcooked. Pies were over cooked. Would never eat here again

Nearly 2 hours after ordering. The cheese on the cheesy chips was non existant and the food was cold and tastless.

Food arrived 1 hour 30 minutes late - food was ok at best.

Rubbish service when I called to ask why my order is not here an hour and half later, the woman on the phone was very rude, don’t recommend this at all

Was in the area on family business and fancied chips for dinner, had to find a cash machine because they don’t take card payments for a start, chips were ok but my pie was like warm and so was a fish cake my wife had, a bit disappointed really however I thought the chips were not bad.

Good old fish and chip shop, Can't fault the extremely large portions. 1 portion of chips can feed 4. Lovely.

Absolutely disgusting. The place was full of flies, I didn't see any hygiene precautions taken (the woman was wearing a shirt that was covered in what I can only assume was fat, no apron or anything). It took quite some time to get my mini fish. Chips were okay but the fish was disgusting, I didn't even save it for my cat.

Well worth ordering ahead for a takeaway. You'll need CASH. My favourite Fish n Chip shop for miles around

We have used this chip shop alot but tonight the chicken meat was very poor old almost a brown colour we could not eat and will not order again trav littlethorpe

Never disappoints, freshly cooked fish, wonderfully creamy chips. As good, if not better, than would be experienced at a seaside fish restaurant. Highly recommended.

Never seen a large fish and chips so small! The mushy peas looked like green gravy...never again

Had fish and chips takeaway today and was disappointed. The cod was only passable but the chips were not fresh looking and didn't taste fresh. They were dry and tough on the outside. I cannot recommend on this experience.

My husband went to this chippy this evening. I ordered a chick pie which wasn't fit for purpose and the only place it belonged was in the bin. However, after a long day at work and cross I returned it to the shop told the assistant it looked like it had gone off she declined to comment and politely asked if would like another one! I said as long as it's not one that had been warmed several time and it was a fresh one. No apology or reasons why they had served a customer a pie that was clearly overcooked and clearly out of date the gravy was brown the pasty was so hard and smelt quite unpleasant.

Well my partner has liven in this area for 7 years and she told me that the chips where nice well sorry to say this but they wasnt they where hard in middle some of them where over cooked i had pie and chips meal and my partner had fish cake and chips and she didn't even eat 1/4 of what she would normally eat and me i couldnt even stand the the taste of the chips so they got binned the only reason i put one star is because they pie was ok but its brought from pukka pie not home-made and please make sure that your colleague wipes her nose not infront of customers before she handles anybodys food and not washed her hands much apprenticed but other than that great service and good price for what we had maybe give it another try if improved but this time next year depends if around this area in future

i ordered from here tonight I had fish chips mushy peas ... the fish was cold inside the peas was like water and to top it all off put too much vinegar on my chips i would NOT recommend this chip shop to anyone absolutely vile

Last night my sister had some food delivered. Firstly a HOUR before the time she asked! When she opened it she noticed she had the wrong order. She couldn’t be bothered to sort it as she was hungry and is diabetic. A few minutes after she began throwing up! SHE NOW HAS FOOD POISONING FROM THE CHICKEN THAT WAS MADE IN ERROR. This place needs to be checked by food hygiene. Disgusting! If I could give no stars I would.

We were the first to order, after 4 more people come in and are served and get their orders, we are finally given our food, a small chips I might add... We opened up our chips once we got home to find a small handful, about 20 ish chips, well I say chips, they were greasy and cold and some were still hard in the middle. The garlic mayo tasted off and for a total of £2 I wouldn't even bother again. If I could put a lower rating I would. Never coming back

Fancied a chippy lunch. Had a large chips, sausages and fishcake between 3 of us. Was plenty. Very tasty. Will be there again.

Sorry but having menus saying you do pizza when they don't! And delivery service when they don't! To top that when got my order home was missing the onion rings. Basically poor service let's down the pretty decent food.

Have to wait atleast 10 minutes for some chips and when I order a large bag of chips it is only enough for one person .TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY

Best fish and chips in Leicester!

Chips are ok, fish is ok. Service isn't great.

The staff weren't very helpful and both me and my partner were ill the next day from the food. We will not be going again.
