Really good food ordered the other day and the chips was amazing and the staff are pleasent as well

delivery was over an hour late. chased twice and asked to cancel/ refund. the food eventually turned up, it was cold and some was inedible so it was put in the bin. refund request denied saying it was due to being too busy. waste of money, won't be ordering from there again

Please stay away from this place. Spent £35 and the only edible food was the chips. Asked for cod but instead got 2 mop bucket haddocks. Seriously, both haddock tasted like they had been dipped in the mop bucket. The smell coming off them was revolting. Even my rottweiler would not eat them. They were that bad. The chicken nuggets looked and tasted like they had been recooked 5 times. My 2 daughters who tried the fish were up all night being sick, and the kebab...well there was more sauce than anything else. Seriously avoid this place.

Service was OK but food is absolutely terrible. Ordered a large chips and they were inedible. The were very dark but also rock hard that you could barely bite through. Even the ones you could bite through the ends were rock hard. We also had a fish which wasn't fresh at all. I am aghast how some people have rated this 5*, definitely won't be returning.

First time I ordered from here the burger and chips where nice I ordered again this evening and it said chicken fillet burger so I was expecting a bigish chicken breast burger it came late it should of been with me at 7.35pm it didn't arrive till just after ten to eight the burger was like a cheap chicken burger it's put me right off

I think the boxes they do, are brilliant. Gives families the option to pick at what they want. Never had a bad or cold meal from here. Food is always tasty and a personal favourite twice a month. Try the boxes they do!!

Best Gluten Free fish and chips! Brilliant service. Informed us of sides that contained gluten and which didn't. Friendly staff and food was good! Didn't mind having to wait a little longer while they made the gluten free part of our order as we knew they were doing it fresh. Will be using again! Avoid this place if you can and use the one on Wardens Walk if you can. The server missed our fish from our take away order, which we discovered getting back to Desford. Rang them straight away and we were informed it would be over 30 min before they'd have a driver free, so we could come back and collect. We asked for a refund but they wouldn't do unless in person, in the shop. They agreed on a part refund for our time (another 25 minutes round trip) and travel. And would also add something in for free. So off we went, got to the shop to be told they would refund us anything at all, I asked for some more chips (as the previous ones were stone cold) and they gave them. Getting home to finally eat the fish was AWFUL! bland, watery and thw batter wasn't cooked through and stodgy so couldn't eat that, the mushy peas we got from the first pick up were dreadful too, if they taste of anything at all it was bicarb. Will NEVER use this fish and chip shop again and advise anyone reading to do the same

Terrible wish I could put -5 stars we ordered for 5pm as we were going out at 530 and have to have gluten free and this is the only one in the area. Hadn’t arrived by 515 so checked the app the chip shop used to see it say 2 mins away, so waited and didn’t arrive immediately called restaurant to be told it hadn’t even left the shop yet and would be in about 10 mins and would be here for 525- I said I had ordered it for 5 and he didn’t even apologise. Order didn’t arrive until gone 6pm. Young delivery driver sat in car on phone before even bringing the food to the door, my partner went out and told him not to bother as over an hour late. This isn’t the first time this has happened and definitely will not be using them again. Food is usually cold, dry and tasteless so look for somewhere else! Awful customer service not even an apology!

I ordered chicken donner which is supposed tonbe white chicken toasted on a spit and got BBQ ish dark brown chicken with salad but the salad tasted like it was washed in pond water. Ate the chips and a little chicken but left the rest. I’ve yet to have the fish and chips tomorrow

Nipped in for quick dinner for 3 of the food was a absolute disgrace so was the staff pie that hard it broken in half savloy cold chips rock hard seen staff cutting donner meat then putting in plastic tubs for the next day yes the staff did say that why I was waiting

I ordered paneer naan and ask for the salad and sauces separate as most Asians do. When I got home we found they did not pack them. A week later I was back for something else and told them. They offered me free sauce and I said no thanks but give me a curry sauce instead as I am not eating paneer. The young manager refused my request. I did not place my order and went to another chippy. They lost 15 pound order for a 30 pence curry sauce. They also lost my respect.

We ordered food last night for my partner's birthday as he had a fancy for fish and chips . This is our go to venue for take out when we order out but last nights food was beautiful. I tried something different which was the onion bhaji burger it tasted great. Thankyou for always giving us great food and great customer service either via delivery or when we do walk in . Dont make the same mistake as me and order from here, I ordered through justeat. Justeat doesn't get updated except to say the food would be delayed, twice and when it did turn up it was well below the standard I expected. It was luke warm and soggy as if it had been wrapped up and sat under a lamp for ages, battered sausage was extremely dark so I question how fresh the oil is. A very disappointing experience for a 1st time customer, won't be ordering from here again

We asked about the presence of peanut in a dish, the chef was apparently consulted and comfirmed there was no peanut in the curry. My son had 3 mouthfuls, and then had an anaphalactic reaction to the curry!! Fortunately it was controllable and he wasn't hospitalised, or worse. On ringing back, I was then informed it did have peanuts in it. Unbelievable that food places like this can play fast and loose with peoples lives. Simply put, I wouldn't risk it if you have a serious allergy. In my observation the staff are disorganised and can't be trusted to be accurate on things that matter such as allergy ingredients.

Good service with the delivery driver, was delivered in good time. However this is the first review I’ve ever written as normally I’m not that bothered. But I ordered the 15” mega box, some of the chips were nice but the rest were old tasting. The fish cakes were nice and all of the sauces it comes with. However all of the other items were battered and there must be something wrong with the oil they’re fried in. It made me feel quite unwell after eating so 90% of the meal was thrown in the bin.

Lunch with my Dad who lives close by. Had a big fish, little fish, mushy peas box! Food all good. The fish wasn't the freshest I've had inland but still better than most (hence 4☆). The young woman serving was cheery, pleasant and welcoming. The shop had not long opened but the food didn't take long to be prepared. Overall, I'd definitely go there again! 👍

honestly doesn’t even deserve the one star i was required to put just to leave a review. food was absolutely rank; barely edible. the saveloy (if you could even call it that) was inedible and most likely days old as it was sat in water in the heating cabinet. the batter was definitely not cooked in fresh oil as it was brown with fat dripping off of it and soaking the bag with brown disgusting oil. peas were fermented which was quite impressive due to the amount of preservatives they had in them, looked so green they could’ve been from Chernobyl. I felt quite bad for the poor girl that was serving when we went back in to be quite honest. definitely do not go here unless you’re feeling brave and want food poisoning.only good thing about it was the price… but you get what you pay for i guess… 🤷🏻‍♀️🤮

Ordered from here so many times. But tonight's platter came and it wasn't very warm. The gravy wasn't warm either. Also the donner bites were still red inside, hubby took a bite out of it, but then decided to chuck it away just incase. It's a shame usually they are spot on.
