Fish and Chip Co in Blaby

Absolutely dreadful the food made me feel sick, we ordered chips, steak and kidney pie, pineapple fritter, and chicken tandori, the salad on the chicken was very clearly unfresh definitely more than 2 days old, i watched them take the chips out of the frier and they looked no different to when they went in (raw) so i told them to put the chips back in. And yet again they where raw…again. The pineapple fritters where definitely unfresh and more than 3 days old, i had to go home and RE FRY THE CHIPS, the steak pie was ice cold. The only part that was half decent was the chicken tandori witch after i reheated it was actually mediocre.

Never had a bad meal from them, food always fresh and hot! Decent sized portions!

Asked for chilli on my mix kebab but they put sweet chilli can not stand sweet chilli so went in the bin waste of £11 don’t think I will order again

Used to use this place for a quick takeaway as it is the closest. However after having chips tonight they were pale and under cooked. Had a look n food hygiene website and this place has 1 stars. I won’t be going back again! Bad when a chip shop can’t cook chips!

Terrible, fish smelt disgusting peas are fluorescent green and mainly water and the chips were not fresh. Don't waste your money

Ordered Donner kebab with chips and salad through Uber Eats and salad didn't come. Tried to call to rectify but got no answer. Sauces are almost flourescent, must use some colourings in it. Battered mushrooms were ridiculously oily. Usually order from here as it is the most convenient but won't again. Last time we got salad it was bright green, probably used colourings to cover the rotten salad. Maybe it is good we didn't get any this time!

Highly recommended, good food, good portion sizes and excellent customer service. Had a minor issue previously, but this was dealt with and resolved by Sandy. Excellent service and will definitely be ordering from here again.

Used to really rate this place but unfortunately we’ve been here twice in the last week and on both occasions the fish batter has been soft and soggy and not good! I don’t get the mushy peas either. They’re bright green and don’t look right for human consumption

90 mins for delivery. chilli chips arrived drowned in cheap sweet ketchup (not chilli). fish came extremely oily. Soggy chips were great after the air-fryer

We had food from here a few years ago and it was ropey. Recently we tried again and a huge improvement. We order weekly either in attendance or through delivery sites, we have a variety of food, the Masala Cod in Nan, mixed Kebab in Nan, Paneer in Nan, usually a fish and always a pie with some chips. On all occasions the food has been spot on, it’s tasted fresh, the meat has been cooked well, the Nan is fluffy and just the right temperature. The chips have been some of the best we have had. Genuinely we eat here weekly now and really enjoy the quality of the food, it’s also fairly priced.

Had fish and chips last night,the two clowns behind the counter were messing about with the curry sauce,thinking it was funny, both would be sacked. Got home and the clown had put the chips on top of the fish ,that tasted old . Poor service and the foods poor ,there Boss needs to sort them out ,before they loose all there business. I will not be going again.

Food arrived very late. Called restaurant and was told the first time an extra 15mins still no food after this time. Called again to be told the driver had only left and only got a apology and said the restaurant was busier today. Food didn't arrive exactly what I ordered was missing chicken off 2 of the meals.

Batter was soggy on the fish and the cod bites was like warm at best. Was 25 mins late although we got an apology. Chips were nearly cold tasted warmed up. Battered sausage again soggy batter. Was absymul will not order from there again. Tasted like warmed up food. Never had soggy batter on anything and was all squashed together in the bag the chips even had paper stuck to them and the cod bites were all compacted into a square shape.! Not worth the wait at all. Awful

I ordered at 6:35. the est. latest delivery time was 7:45, it's now 8:00, and the order says it's been delivered. I can't contact the restaurant on the number provided, there is no way to get in touch with just eat and I have no food. I use Just Eat a lot and I feel let down by this service. An hour is a reasonable time to wait, I don't mind if I get updated times, but no updates and to say it's delivered is just faking the stats, it is just poor service. sorry for the rant, I'm hungry!!!

Food was not hot, just warm. Takeaway refused a refund as they said they were busy: Very disappointed with the service although the food was okay

Generally ok. The Shish kebabs are lamb kofta shish, not lamb shish, and are as dry/overcooked as can be. There's some strange hyper-green pickled veg. Chips are good and generous portions.

Please stay away from this place. Spent £35 and the only edible food was the chips. Asked for cod but instead got 2 mop bucket haddocks. Seriously, both haddock tasted like they had been dipped in the mop bucket. The smell coming off them was revolting. Even my rottweiler would not eat them. They were that bad. The chicken nuggets looked and tasted like they had been recooked 5 times. My 2 daughters who tried the fish were up all night being sick, and the kebab...well there was more sauce than anything else. Seriously avoid this place.
