Nice chips but the fish was like chewing on a piece of rubber. Friends had similar and theirs was okay so maybe I was just unlucky?

Just stopped for cod and small chips. Chips fine. Batter grim and couldn’t eat what is usually my favourite part of a fish and chip tea. Batter in all likelihood was heavier than the rest of the food. Unfortunately other options in town will now be prioritised

Went in here last night for one portion of fish and chips, nearly £10. The fish was a good size but the batter was thick, doughy and chewy. No crispness at all. Like cutting cardboard. I threw most of it away and won't be going back. Much better alternatives in MH.

Good prices, good service, and the best fish and chips in town. I have tried others in town, but always return here. Totally recommended.

Decent chips and a nice clean and hygienic place! Ample parking nearby too. Food is priced well, and service is quick and polite.

The burger meat was thin, tough & overcooked with a strange aftertaste, the cheese wasn’t melted, the bun was incredibly stale, and the salad wasn’t fresh. The chips were ok, but the unfriendly and frankly disinterested woman serving wouldn’t split a portion of chips. Not just eat, just avoid.

£5.99 for a small fish chips and peas now I know it's a small lunchtime special but this was appalling fish finger was more it. Very few chips not even good quality. Very disappointing. Go to kibworth chippy.

We’ve recently moved into Harborough and thought we’d have a treat of fish and chips to save cooking. Quite simply the worst fish and chips we have ever had. We ordered small portions but the fish was tiny, very dry and the batter soggy. It was hard to find amongst the huge quantity of very soggy chips. It seemed as though chips were added to make up for the small fish. I very rarely post a review like this but at £33 you do expect better.

Our go to fish and chips in Harborough. Good portions and lovely fish, we have been going for years and years.

St Marys Fish & Chip shop is the nearest choppy to me, I've been here quite a few times, Food is always good and staff always polite. Prices are fair too. No complaints from me!

The shop is lovely and clean, the fish and chips are very fresh, nice crisp batter, it was a good option for a Friday supper

Not very happy with the place. The personal was rude and the food didn't meet the standards. Burgers are precooked and then they heat the Burgers in the microwave. Although the place was very clean and tidy.

I ordered a large fish (which was big enough for 2 of us) & a cone of chips both was lovely & fresh. It was value for money & served by friendly staff.

Just been refurbished, a Great Fry and always a family favourite, they really know their fish and chips, sausages, pies, curry sause and extras, highly recommended!

Dreadful. Chips were greasy and full of oil, sausages were bone dry and the doner meat was disgusting. Tasting like it was sitting in a pot for days and heated in a microwave.

Cash only, But well worth it! Always find the portion sizes on the Kebab meat are brilliant! Decent chips too and they're always friendly and polite!

Great best chip shop in harborough my haddock was superb

It looked OK from the outside, but the doubts started as the surly member of staff took my order. The fish was sitting there behind the glass looking as though it had been there a good while. After paying over the odds, I took my food home. The batter on the overcooked fish was thick, spongy and soggy with oil. The chips were sad and floppy. It all ended up in the bin after the cat, too, turned his nose up at it. What a waste of money and good ingredients. Never again! Would definitely NOT recommend. Spend your money elsewhere.

Stopped off on the way back from Stansted airport wished we hadn’t Chips were ok but the fish was all thick soggy batter and the peas were tasteless I think they must have forgot to put the ingredients together on them I thought it was just me but my wife said the same Also didn’t find the staff particularly friendly when ordering I wouldn’t go back there I will find another next time

I use to use this a lot but after my visit the other day those days are over it has gone down hill quite badly it is looking dirty and the kebab meat looks awful

I ordered a chicken kebab with salad to be told they never had any lettuce or tomato , but they would give me some extra meat to compensate. Once I got it home and opened it , a white crusty dog turd looked more appealing!!! Not sure where they buy their potatoes from but they have got to be the scabiest in the country Don’t waste your money!!!

They have just recently rebuilt the Fish Bar with lots of seating places and a new layout. The Cod and chips we had were great.

Revamped fish and chip shop is a real find! There is an extensive choice of vegetarian options - I settled for the halloumi fritter! My dad declared it the best fish and chips he’s ever had! Enough said! Go and enjoy!

Went in for a chip cob this lunchtime. Cold, black chips in a cob that literally crumbled the moment you touched it. Inedible. I threw it in the bin immediately. I can’t believe in such a competitive environment a business cares so little for its products and so much contempt for its customers

Fish and chips while travelling home late from northern England, staff were friendly and helpful, good size portions and the fish was tasty. Just make sure you don't arrive too late on quiet week evenings/nights as they don't fry certain items late, as clearly there's not the local trade then in comparison to Friday/Saturday nights. Makes sense and reduces food waste. Well worth popping in for a great takeaway

Visited early evening in Feb 2018 Very large portion of Cod & Chips served cheerfully and promptly. Quality was certainly good and price very fair. Couldn't quite finish the meal which is very unusual for me! Would highly recommend!
