I hadn't visited IKEA Café for a while so I decided to pop in for lunch a couple of weeks ago for their infamous meatballs, chips, peas and gravy. On the plus side, the food served was as delicious as ever, so no complaints there. Also, despite the café undergoing a refurbishment as of present, I found the (limited) seating area to be sufficient, with enough tables for everyone, all of which were nice and clean. However, the main thing that let this place down was the time it took to get served. Yes, the queue was long but considering plating up meatballs, chips, gravy and peas takes about 30 seconds, it made me wonder why I was waiting in the queue for at least 15 minutes if not 20. I'm not sure if this is connected to the refurbishment but if the staff can't serve a queue of customers promptly, they shouldn't be open at all. I also visited a couple of months ago, this time at teatime and the queue still took the same ridiculously long amount of time. The staff serving were nice and friendly however I didn't particularly rate the younger members of staff on the tills on my latest visit. There seemed to be three members of staff huddled behind the counter. I went up to one of the two tills, only to be told that only one of them was in operation! So what was the point of IKEA paying two additional members of staff to not do any work and stand around like statues? Also, I was disappointed to see IKEA giving their customers wooden cutlery and paper plates to eat their food off. Even when I was in school I was served by school dinners on ceramic plates and provided with metal cutlery; not sure why a professionally run café can't do the same! Portion sizes have also decreased since my last visit, possibly a result of their new and ingenious paper plates. Overall, I still like IKEA Café and I would go again but if I were to advise anyone, I would assess the size of the queue before joining it and ideally avoid lunchtime when this place is likely most busy. If the queue looks long, it might be best avoiding the café until after the so-called refurbishment is complete.

This was the worst experience I've ever had. Was told when ordering there was a 30 minute wait for food which was fine as we were not in a hurry, I ordered an eggs benedict and a Full English breakfast, I was told they did not have any hollandaise sauce for the eggs benedict but they would make something up and seeing other orders for the same thing coming out with hollandaise I thought it was not a prolem what was brought out were 2 unbuttered muffins 6 slices of ham and 2 poached eggs that were over done it was dry and tasteless and looked horrendous, our drinks where lukewarm when they were brought out and after a 30 minute wait for the food if we had not drank them straightaway they would have been stone cold by the time the food arrived. Eggs benedict was not fit to give to a dog.

Very little place, difficult to know if you can book or not. I think it depends what they decide for you. The worst is the fact that the Drunch is very, very expansive for eggs and bacon (more than 200€ for 4 breakfast) . 6 employees for max 25 persons inside. You will find better in another place. The manager does not smile a lot. Not a great experience.

We visited for lunch on Sunday 15th December. I always have a look at trip advisor before we go anywhere and I was a bit concerned about some of the reviews about the restaurant before we came. How different our experience was though! We found the service to be excellent nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so friendly and cheerful. The food was outstanding! The quality, presentation and flavour of every dish we ordered was amazing! If we are ever back in Oxford we will visit again for sure!

Simply stunning Sunday lunch here today. We met with a small group of friends foe a pre Christmas get to gether. We all had the Sunday lunch with a variety of meats. All meats were perfectly cooked and the huge Yorkshire puddings were amazing Vegetables were fresh, hot and plentiful. There was a generous supply of gravy too. All on all a fantastic meal for an extremely reasonable price. We usually have Sunday lunch at home but will be returning here in the near future. Bar and serving staff were attentive and there was a good selection of both wines and real ales.

Hmm. The setting could potentially be quite promising, with a sea view and a castle framing it on one side. But the ambience was ruined by the sound of over-pumped muzak and the pervading smell of other-people's fish, and nevertheless one was expected to pay a rather high price for the dubious pleasure. If pricy cod disco ain't your thing, this might not be the ideal choice.

Lite in leeds online order , delivered half of the food and the other half they forgot , I talked to Ellie one of the managers who was understanding but didn’t get back to me , then I spoke to Kelsey another manager she was rude with a harsh raised voice , thinking she’s a miss know it all , horrendous attitude towards someone who just wanted answers. Took over 2 weeks to give me back my refund for the food that wasn’t delivered. Won’t be going to this branch any time soon ! No customer care !!
