We booked with great anticipation but should have backed out the moment we went through the door. No atmosphere. Smelly and not at all like a Swiss restaurant. The Fondue lacked flavour and the bread accompanying was tasteless. I wouldn’t eat here even if it were free.

Well, 1st of all, I called to make a booking around 12 for 3pm, it was confirmed, 14h45, I call again to postpone the booking to 16h, the waitress on the phone there (indian) tells me that the chef is having his break and we are fully booked for today which didn't make any sense and extremely unprofessional. 50 mins later my wife calls and she mysteriously manage to find a booking at 17h. We get there, and guess what, we were literally alone, a couple came after, that's it !!. For the raclette, we have the first choice which came just with bread, no sense ! Guys I had many raclettes in my life, it waa from really far the most DISGUSTING one of my life !!! We asked for extra mushrooms and potatoes, guess what !!, the mushrooms were disgusting, no idea how they did to make them untasty. And we paid 17£ for them !! And 7£ for the potatoes. Guys avoid at all costs !!! TOTAL RIP OFF

We always wanted to try Fondue but it wasn’t a very happy experience. Waiters were not very helpful and the melt cheese in the pot actually not as tasty as we thought. The bread in the basket were not fresh. Price is high regarding the quality of food and service. I better get my own cheddar cheese on the toast at home. We won’t go back again.

Going to a restaurant, reading the menu, deciding what I'm going to eat and then being told that what I read, they don't have it, is disappointing or at least insulting. Let me know beforehand, sir!! The fondeu lacked that lively tone of gruyere and ementhal, I doubt that any of them were real, I think that the gastronomic concepts that these people have are far from the common ones of those of us who seek excellence in food, especially having paid 180 pounds for two people

Had visited many years ago. Interior decor hasn't changed a bit and although evocative some would say it's just tired and dated.. get the ambiance correct and people will immediately be invited to write good reviews, however we found the whole experience an expensive let down. I was on time for the booking, there were only 4 others upstairs and a couple Downstairs. I ordered a bottle of wine whilst waiting for my guests who were 10 minutes late. The waitress wasn't particularly welcoming and I heard a voice form the kitchen shout " Are the 3pm tqble her yet !?" The food was pleasant but definitely overpriced. 3 people, 3 onion soup, Fondue for 3 with dry bread and overcooked potatoes,no meat and an extra side of overcooked boiled veg. We had q £30 bottle of white wine and a kir rose as an aperro. Total £220. I feel this was about £60 overpriced. I know its central london, but for the food a nd service offered it didn't meet expectations. Safe to say we won't go back for another 25 years.

Waitresses were awful tonight. Arrogant, snappy and patronising as if talking to a child. I had booked at least 1 week ago, and 2 days before the visit I got a call asking to postpone the booking for 15 min which I accepted. When we turned up they kept us waiting for at least 10 -15 more minutes saying customers were still at the table although they paid. I objected and asked them to tell the next booking is waiting and it’s already late. We didn’t see anyone leaving as we were standing at the narrow gate. After 10-15 min we were called the table was ready. When we asked for the check we were kept waiting half an hour. The other 2 tables asked for the bill around the same time and they had the check and payment machine but we deliberately were kept minimum 15 min for the check and even more to get the payment processor. When asked for payment processor she snappily replied she needed to finish tidying the table behind us and then afterwards off she disappeared. In the end I got up to pay. Message received: ‘if you criticise me for not having your table ready at the booked time I will keep you waiting at my leisure’. She was horrible. Food was ok but overpriced. When we ordered dessert they didn’t have contents or description of the desserts on the menu, just names. My daughter (15) ordered chocolate cake. She tasted and said nice but very strong flavour. I tasted a small bit and realised alcohol inside it. I called the waitress and asked her, when confirmed there was no alcohol in it, I insisted and she went and checked, came back to confirm it has rum inside. When I said she’s 15, waitress removed the cake from in front of her. This is a perfect example how not to serve customers at a nice restaurant. Very unprofessional and immature. If you don’t enjoy it, don’t do that job. You both just spoilt our evening, congratulations!

What's not to love about cheese?! I really enjoyed my evening, trying fondue for the first time. The cheese fondue was incredibly delicious! I wish we ordered one of the options with more variety in the things to dip though. We got the classic one (just bread) which gets monotonous after a bit. We tried the chocolate fondue as well, and it was *perfect*. Large variety of fruit and other things to dip and the chocolate was good quality. In terms of atmosphere, I found it a bit too hot inside. But most importantly, the tables are a bit close, and we could hear the whole conversation of the people next to us. Needless to say it was very distracting and we couldn't really enjoy talking to each other. Overall, a great place, and I would absolutely go again, but I wish the tables were more spaced.

Phew...was spontaneously at Moritz in August. If that's supposed to represent Switzerland, then I can only be ashamed. Cheese fondue indescribable, the cheapest ready-made fondue from Denner is even better. Rösti was floating in oil and was like canned Hero Rösti, also fried black. However, the shop is well attended and seems to delight certain gourmets. For me as a Swiss, not recommended.

Pretty poor food and poor service. Waiting staff had to be requested to top up drinks throughout the meal, forgot orders and were unsure of the menu. One was on her phone whilst we waited to order drinks. As for the food, the fondue which people come here for, looked okay, but having had the chicken with tarragon, it tasted like they had dropped the whole salt shaker in the sauce. Visited here for a work meal with a group of 18 people. We were sat upstairs and the decor was nice and took you into a chalet scene. We had pre ordered though the food still took quite a while to arrive. Our fondues were fairly good but we had also ordered sides of Rosti for nine which were all in one bowl on one table so not shared very well as well as being a little burnt. The service was good and attentive and our wine and water was constantly kept topped up. The price is quite high though I guess you might expect that for the location. As a vegetarian there are a few options but fairly limited if you were a regular.

I am being generous giving this place 3 stars. We ate here last night. An old-school gem in Soho, we assumed it must be good to have survived all the changes and were excited about it. It is certainly atmospheric and for that it gets marks. We were seated upstairs and were transported from London to an Alpine chalet. Beyond that it's lost its mojo, it seems. The facilities need a revamp. I had the terrine, their "famous pâté" for my starter, which was perhaps the blandest, fattiest pâté I've ever eaten - it was a struggle to eat more than half of it. My partner had the smoked fish which was passable. The fondue we shared we fine, but nothing to write home about - and for the price (this place is not cheap) we felt they could have been a bit more generous/flexible with the things you get to dip in the cheese (eg some bread and some vegetables, would have been nice). The staff seemed quite disengaged and, for a themed restaurant such as this, not really giving off the Alpine chalet vibe. They didn't particularly seem to understand the menu or the wines and it was often hard to get their attention. I'm pleased we tried it, but I wouldn't go back and I'm unsure why this place survives.

Not quite sure why this tiny place is still there. Slightly unusual arrangement of only accepting telephone bookings, with a bit of a chaotic situation arising as we were leaving. Claims of traditional Swiss fondue are overstated. Convinced that the mix of cheeses used had very little to do with emental or gruyère. The taste wasn't right - too salty, the texture was also wrong, slightly grainy, not silky smooth. Almost certainly was a fair quantity of cheddar substituted in to bulk out the mix. Staff were friendly enough, but struggled to remember which wine we had ordered. Not terribly impressed, and unlikely to return in a hurry.

And once I have informed them they made sure it was not frozen by overcooking the food so it was disgustingly chewy. Cheese quantity and taste is to laugh for, especially at the given cost. There were 3 of us, so we got a fondue sharing platter for 2, as well as a rosti and wow!.. The food was amazing. 😋 The only thing about it was that after a little while, the cheese on the stove got extremely hot and it did become a little harder to eat the rest of our meal - Otherwise I could have more and more! The rosti is so good too! With a great balance vegetables and cheese, the dish was to die for! The atmosphere! Being honest, I got Italian vibes, then German, Swiss and also Austrian. It was a really cool theme they have going on with a nice oompah music playlist playing overhead and a nice wooden "apre-ski" vibe. The tables themselves were slightly cramped and I found myself having to move and slither almost to get out of my seat and there was a table sat behind us so at times, it was a little awkward. Great experience overall and I would love to come back soon! 😊

Excellent service and authentic Swiss ambience. Good fondue, as good as we have had outside Switzerland.

This swiss restaurant has a great vibe with great service and good food (the only reason I gave service 4* is that I ordered carrot and orange soup - the soup of the day - and got french onion soup, though it was so tasty I didn't complain or send it back). The fondue was delicious (to be shared between two) and worth going just for that. Perhaps the bread could have been a little better but it was nevertheless a great meal. I would recommend!

I visited St Moritz with friends for a Fondue night this winter. We had a great experience there and left very well fed! The decor reminded me of a "chalet" in the Alps, and they serve some of the most popular Swiss delicacies. We will come back very soon!

It’s alright. Raclette is served as an appetizer which is weird and they don’t serve it as the pictures shows, you don’t see the wheel of cheese, it just arrives in your plate.

I’m French and was very disappointed as they don’t serve « real » fondues. They serve some cheese mix (seems like powder and starch) in water. There is nothing « Swiss » about this restaurant. I insist in the stach part as you can feel it in the texture. Of course English people or other people that do not know anything about Swiss/French cheese or never had a REAL fondue won’t know and will find it good.

Sehr gute Küche, Spezialist für Fondue, Raclette und im Herbst ein super Rehrücken. Auch das Gordon-Bleu ist empfehlenswert.

It wasn't bad but definitely overrated. We asked for bread and butter, and they brought us stone cold and hard butter and cold bread, so it was difficult to actually spead it. Cheese fondue was ok, but the bread which came with it was a very sad supermarket baguette (and again, cold, not even the effort to heat it up a bit), at that price I would expect some more high quality bread, possibly homemade, and some variety in the things to dip in, not just bread and potatoes but maybe some veggies as well. It's fine if you want to eat something different but it's still overhyped. I would maybe come back to try the borgugnon and the chocolate fondue, which looked slightly better

Went on The Fork 50% Summer offer, total worth it. We had Grilled Tiger Prawns brown butter, preserved lemon, confit garlic, grilled Sally Clarke focaccia, delicious we did order extra bread for the yummy butter and we shared the Tuna Tartare soy dressing, blood orange, avocado, crispy wontons, coriander, jalapeños also wonderful I could have eaten it again. We both ordered Rib Eye Steak 8oz chargrilled gem lettuce, ranch dressing, crispy onions, rosemary sea salt fries with a Heritage Tomato Salad. We both said the steak was slightly over cooked but the taste was stunning and we didn’t have time to wait for another one. Sauces didn’t arrive with the steak and was forgotten off the order, they did arrive quite quickly but weren’t the best Peppercorn or Chimichurri not sure if it was because it was a rush. Overall and for the offer it was great, we would try it again.

Goya was recommended by a couple we met in a nearby pub. Did not disappoint. Steaks were magnificent and was a welcome change to get vegetables not just chips. Wish we lived closer to make it our local.

Rating two stars because of the service, as it’s the only authentic thing about this restaurant. Having spent 2 weeks in Madrid this by far was an insult to the authentic tapas. The food was literally frozen oven potatoes for the patata bravas served with what can only be described as Doritos salsa dip in a tiny ramakin. The chicken was literally frozen chicken goujons. And having paying nearly £90 for 4 dishes and two glasses of wine was an absolute joke. The shrimp was not fresh and extremely tasteless.
