Best Sunday roast, been there few times and never disappoints. Excellent food, good service and nice atmosphere. Recommended 100%

We got there a bit early and were seated after they did a bit of jiggling around which I appreciated. We were seated, and a waitress came over pretty quickly. Not a smile was given by her for the whole meal. She took our orders (two roasts, a kids nuggets and nachos) and we were served pretty quickly. The roasts were OK, not great. Potatoes were a bit dry, lamb was a tad overcooked and the gravy didn’t have much flavour. I was a bit surprised not to be given mint sauce but they gave it after we requested it. The nacho starter was decent and made with proper tortilla and not just Doritos. The kids nuggets were pretty anaemic looking and my preschooler managed 2 but then spat the rest out. The sticky toffee pudding was pretty tasteless and dry but caramel sauce was OK. All in all it was about £85 for 2 roasts, 2 desserts, a nachos, a kids meal and dessert and 3 soft drinks. Not extortionate for the area.

Lovely waitress. Sunday roast asked for extra gravy and dinner came swimming in thin gravy, instead of giving it in jug. Charged £1.50 extra for it. Roast potatoes so over reheated too hard to eat so asked to have some more fresher ones then charged £4.50 for them. Huge Yorkshire pud £1.00 extra but swimming in grease and lastly £5 for cauliflower cheese no cheese sauce just cauliflower with cheese on top. Sorry wouldn't go there again.

Brilliant pub, friendly and relaxed, top staff, lovely place to meet a friend and chat across from the river, really great food and non-alcoholic beers available plus a beautiful airy interior and a great garden.

Sunday roast here is excellent, with perfectly cooked roast potatoes 👌🏻 Service is very good too

Nice enough place for a drink, need to review the "about" section, as this place does not have wheelchair accessible toilet, though listed as if it does, quite important to get right.

Great Sunday roast! Food was delicious (best roast potatoes in the area, trust me!), very friendly service ans amazing atmosphere. Busy lunch but you still are able to speak to your party without having to shout, so it's fantastic. I really recommend. We will be back for sure!

The Bell has been my favourite place to drink and eat for some time now. The family love it there and the staff go above and beyond. You cannot fault the food and service in the slightest. The staff are very friendly and very knowledgeable about all the items on the menu from wine, to the ales, to the food. Thank you for an amazing place to bring my family 😌

I took my Mum for Sunday lunch and it was excellent, the food was delicious (she had a children's portion due to the size) and the service was faultless. I didn't get the name of our blonde waitress, but she was very helpful and made our visit really enjoyable.

Me and my girlys came out for a roast dinner and it was delicious, a yorkie the size of my head, but what really made the evening was the incredible service from Nathan B

Just had the worst Fish snd Chips in England! Scrag ends of frozen chips , over cooked small fillet of fish. They reduced the bill by £1.70! Dreadful The manager would not listen. Poor customer care. Dont eat here. Good beer tho’

Booked here for my staff leaving drinks last Friday 28th June. Booked the upstairs function room with the balcony overseeing the river. Was served a lovely buffet which was delicious. The staff worked incredibly hard to make sure that all had a good time and made the evening really special. Thanks so much again Bell Inn! You guys are the best!

Was there for my brothers wake . And thestsff looked after our party nothing was to much trouble .. made the whole afternoon easier to bear. Looking over the river was a bonus as well .

I enjoyed my Lebanese chicken with chicken peas. Order delivered after a fairly long wait. Food good but very overpriced. Waitress was efficient.

Popped in for a few drinks and Now it’s official the bell inn is now the dearest pub in the area. Decor is ok but tiring in places and the men’s toilet is still disgusting .This let’s the pub down in our estimation Doesn’t make you want to eat there after seeing the toilets My partner will not even go there because of the loos

Great lunch for early Mothers Day get together food was spot on ! Portions were great and the steak and Guinness pie was the best.

We used to be regulars here but having moved away several years ago, it was great to be back and find the Bell Inn to be just as good as it ever was. Friendly, attentive staff, a lovely situation by the river and generous portions of food at decent value prices. We had a very pleasant Sunday lunch celebrating a birthday. The Roast beef was a little tough but the vegetables were delicious. Puddings looked amazing but by that time, I was full!

Great pub by the riverside in Hampton. The staff were very considerate with my dietary needs and they made incredible espresso martinis!!!

I have actually organised four similar events in other parts of London over the last three weeks and I have to tell you that yours was the best in terms of your flexibility, willingness to oblige, to take late changes – all with good grace and a “smile”.

We held our annual photography club Chritmas Meal and Competition at The Bell Inn on 20th December. There were fourteen of us - we had preordered our meal. The food was excellent, the service was great and everyone had a good time. The room upstairs, which we use regularly, has good technology so we were able to link online to our judge for the Competition. Highly recommend the Bell for it's flexibility and efficiency.

Despite telling them this, the manager insisted on us paying the full price, as they said they'd already prepared the food and we hadn't given 24h cancellation. We had paid a deposit and weren't asking for it back. The person we spoke to, a woman called Kasia, was extremely rude and unfeeling, she put the phone down on us! I will never set foot in that pub again. Worse customer service I have ever encountered!

I am new to the area and decided to take myself for Sunday lunch. Being single I don’t mind dining alone. I saw the Bell inn and as it was close gave it a go. I was not disappointed I was seated quickly and served by Georgina who was attentive and very efficient. My lunch came out hot and absolutely delicious, I was checked on by Georgina at regular intervals that were not intrusive and as a lone diner I am usually having to get someone’s attention. I also had an amazing view of the Thames while I dined. The Bell Inn was very popular and I can see why the food was great value and there was plenty of it.

Could do better. I took 3 friends here on a Monday night. A third of the main courses weren't available and we struggled to find dishes to suit us. Service was a bit slow and food wasn't particularly hot when it eventually arrived. On the plus side they have 50% off food dishes on a Monday.

Just had Sunday lunch. Big portions food was fabulous- meat tender, veg selection was great and cooked well. Too big to finish. I had lamb and my partner had the beef both tender and tasty. We have been sampling Sunday lunch around Twickenham/Hampton area for the last month and this is the best. We will be visiting again.

Came here after a funeral to use the upstairs function room. Staff were lovely. Food was good, service impeccable. Great view of the river. Good parking out back that I never knew about! Lived in Hampton 15 years and have never been to this pub!

We booked The Bell function room for a special joint 70th and 40th birthday celebration and visited several times to discuss arrangements with The Manager Sue before our selected date. Sue couldn’t have been more helpful with our questions and requirements for food, welcome drinks, guest numbers, and function room bar and staffing. After deciding on our guest numbers Sue accepted our order for all food on the night, Pre ordered drinks, ensured that we had a barman in the room for the night named Cuan and agreed our requirement to decorate the room on the day. On the day we arrived as planned and decorated the room before our guests 50 approx arrived and enjoyed the pre-ordered drinks or drinks from the bar manned by Cuan who did an excellent job throughout the night. At approx 8pm Sue and other members of staff started serving our pre-ordered buffet food which all went like clockwork followed by the efficient clearing away. The birthday couple and our guests enjoyed a wonderful evening in a very pleasant room with balcony views over the Thames, we received many compliments for the evening and the venue with many saying they would certainly keep in mind for the future. The total cost was good value for such a unique location, the staff especially Sue and Cuan worked exceptionally hard and efficiently and some lovely memories were made. Highly recommended.

I've coming here for years as part of our visit to Hampton Court Flower Show but this visit has potentially been our last as it was so disappointing. We arrived at an early evening booking to be told one starter and two mains were unavailable. Not a great start but we chose from what was left. I had the "lamb" flatbread. The flatbread was incredibly tough and it was drenched in dressing that made everything taste identical. The "lamb" was barely above room temperature and was also tough. Despite being hungry I ended up leaving some as it was just so unappetising. The fish and chips that were had my the other member of the party was decently sized but absolutely drenched in salt. On the drinks side of things this is not a pub that caters well to non-drinkers. The drinks menu made no mention of soft drinks and when asked for their non-alcoholic options they listed coke and lemonade as options. There was one small fridge of J2Os and the like. In mitigation, the manager was apologetic about the quality of the food and gave us a significant reduction on our bill.

We went there for Sunday lunch , with no reservation. The food was fine but tiny portions for the price and drink prices were on the higher end of acceptable. Staff was polite enough. It's a nice space, but overall i feel there are better places to go and far better value. I wouldn't recommend based on this experience.

Lunch, Saturday 24 June. Pleasant room, pleasant staff. Disappointing food. My Philly Burger should have been something rather special for £21 (though the online menu said £19). It contained some pieces of overcooked meat which, I suppose, might have been filet steak. My wife' enjoyed her Chicken & Mushroom pie (Steak & Ale was off) but the peas were hard. Our bottle of rosé wine was served barely below room temperature. I won't complain about the burnt offerings which masquerade as chips in the 'gastro' world, but the sooner that fad dies out, the better! Sorry, but not up to your reputation, or your prices.

Very tasty food and good value. Went as a family of 4 and everyone really enjoyed it. Sat in the garden which is a real sun trap. Would highly recommend.

Visited The Bell on the evening of the 20 May to celebrate my wife’s birthday with friends of ours. When the main meals came to the table, they were presented well, hot and of a good size. Unfortunately one of the party had a slight problem with her meal. The manager was called and the meal was taken back to the kitchen. The manager handled the situation really well and in a professional manner. We all enjoyed our evening at the The Bell and look forward to our next visit.

Simon, Sue, Matt and the team were attentive, professional and friendly. The menu choices were varied and tasty. Easy choices depending on your event. The function room was ideal as it has its own bar and toilet facilities. We has a very enjoyable party. Thank you.

Quaint pub next to the river with a hidden garden at the back and a lovely upbeat atmosphere inside. Pet friendly and with a parking space. A+++ recommended

Fab garden, lovely helpful. Situated across from the Thames so nice for walking too. Only criticism is their car park has alot of dips and big puddles when raining

This pub has plenty of potential with a lovely riverside location, but is a bit confused. There’s a sign saying please wait to be seated at the entrance and the table in the front section are setup for dining, but occupied by people drinking. The tables at the back people were eating and it seemed there was also random table service. Needless to say no one was waiting to be seated as it’s a pub and just found their own seats. There were also lots of noisy children which was annoying, but understand that can’t be helped. They should just focus on being a pub rather than have a few different things going on that no one really adheres to hence marking it down a bit. The drink prices were reasonable and staff friendly (Heineken and spirit and mixer was about £10.50 which isn’t bad). Fantastically located for the brilliant Riverside Tandoori too, which I hope reopens soon :)

We have now held two family gatherings at The Bell and both times the food and service has been excellent. Easter Sunday can always be a bit hit and miss for eating out but the roast we had yesterday was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. It is very near Bushey Park and our dogs were also looked after well, with water bowls and treats. My only request is please add a cauliflower cheese to the menu!

The bell inn is a great experience, honestly all around a great place to be. Annabelle, Rose and Matt are terrific hosts. Would definitely recommend to any passer-by.

There was a fight between two men in the middle of the restaurant during our Mother’s Day and birthday celebration. The restaurant was full of young children and extended families and completely spoiled the occasion. The two men involved in the fracas had fought in the Bell Inn previously and had be allowed entry. One party were led to the reception area and waited there until they were shown back to their table! Appalling to frighten young children and my vulnerable father. We received no apology from Management. On top of this the service was appalling.

Just popped in for a couple of drinks. The atmosphere is lovely, the bar staff very friendly & efficient. We didn't order food but seeing what was being served to others looked fantastic. The place is dog friendly I noticed dog treats on the bar counter. 100% recommend

Last Saturday night I held a surprise birthday party for my mum in the Bell Inn function room. In the months leading up to the party Matt and Sue were always willing to answer my millions of questions, and Matt was there on the night to help with various queries I had. We were looked after by Joe on the bar, who did a stellar job and put everyone at ease. Downstairs, Keehan (don’t think I got his name right) was great, and helped play into the surprise for my mum with some top acting skills. Everyone at the party praised the food (we got a buffet of Winter Warmers and pizza, including some vegan and gluten free), the venue and the staff. We all had a wonderful evening ☺️

Was part of a large group meeting up, we reserved an area of the pub for our use. Food was good and drinks were averagely priced. Staff very helpful and friendly. A good experience.

Cosey, warm, I had the roast beef which was delicious. I could have sheltered from the weather outside under my big Yorkshire pudding. Georgina gave us great, attentive service. We will be back!

Despite having to navigate the local roadworks, this Inn was a revelation...and named after my family, obviously!! The place is quaint. Parking at the back and opposite. View of the Thames from the window tables. Staff were very child friendly and I loved their 'Children's Menu'. No, I am not going to say why...but it's great. We had a group of 9 and not one complaint or even a hint of it, even from the two children. I just plumped for the Philly Burger and loved every mouthful. Normally I am dismissive of burgers, especially Mc but these were special and there is a reason why they are regarded so highly... but you need to try them. My wife had fish and chips and she ate almost all the fish, leaving me just two mouthfulls as we were celebrating my birthday! So she spoilt me. I couldn't manage a starter but shared the cheeseboard and could have done with two extra crackers to make the most of the cheese samples. The Malbec was lovely. The service was great and staff were very helpful. If you read the good reviews, that really describes the essence of the place. We loved it and I'm looking forward to going there for my next milestone celebration, once the roadworks are completed!!!

New Year’s Eve 2022. Shooting stars event. Advertising Dj playing a variety of music but the only place you can hear the music is in front of the Dj. Complained to Dj & management but not bothered. Extremely frustrating and disappointing. Left before midnight. Too disappointed to stay any longer when we wanted a night off dancing.

My aunty went and ate her Xmas dinner here… well had the starter of fish cake (no prawn cocktail on the menu) sent that back as it was cold and then had soup which was disgusting. She then waited an hour for the mains, asked 3 times for some gravy and wasn’t given any. They ended up telling the waitress they were leaving and weren’t even offered their money back. They were charging £90 a head for that service. Service was slow and food for the price was awful

Really good improvements to the decor and menu recently. It's not the gastro pub it used to be but a very nice place to spend time. One gripe, ~£2.50 for a lime soda? Really?

Easy accessible venue + parking, staff friendly, good service, 3 of us had roast lunch was nice would have preferred traditional veg + Cauliflower cheese. No gluten free gravy!!! Come on, even I can make this... Sadly we were very let down with the gluten free menu, even though I had phoned twice to give heads up. I'm sorry but only having ice cream as a gluten free choice is not acceptable. Most restaurants have at least two deserts & ice cream Definitely room for improvement...🤞
