The Teddington Arms in Richmond upon Thames

So myself and two lady friends arrived and sat down to view the menu's. The pub was very quiet at around 16:30 hrs on a Tuesday and there were less then ten people dotted around the pub. As soon as I looked at their prices my P.D. was triggered and I immediately told my friends (one of whom was paying for mine) that their prices were atrocious for the items on the menu and I wasn't going to allow my friend to pay for me to dine there - when I'd of rather gone to M&S nearby and paid £5.00p for a family sized pie then £17+ for one from their menu, (as I'm a big guy with an even bigger appetite!) My partner had the dearest thing on the menu; Steak, which cost £20:00p. She had been there to eat three time's previously (the same meal), and all three mistakes that the kitchen staff had made on 'those' occasions - they repeated AGAIN on her meal! (All of which the manager had offered nothing in respect of their mistake; a complimentary drink for example.) The 1st time it's a mistake, the 2nd time - It definitely shouldn't of happened, the 3rd & our visit being the 4th for her is CLEARLY BS and somebody should be getting spoken to about it, as when the till bar receipt is sent to the kitchens... It clearly state's what they had ordered! (In this case it was MASHED POTATO, 🥔 NOT the chip's that were sent to her on ALL 4 occasions. ) The other lady chose the Steak & Ale pie. 🥧 She was satisfied with her meal until she found an oversized piece of gristle which was larger than any piece of Steak within it. They 'did' order for me in the end, a large meal of 24 chicken drumsticks in a sticky barbecue sauce, alongside a portion of Onions-Ring's, & a bowl of chunky chip's! 😋 I enjoyed my meal 💯%, absolutely no complaints formy meal. The onion ring's had 'actual' onions in them, (not the mushed up stuff other people who serve onion-rings palm you off with.) The chip's were tasty, chunky, and delicious. My chicken 🐔 was handsome and I enjoyed it very much, although I needed the 7 serviette that it arrived with as the sauce was very messy on the finger's. **(Many thanks to my kind friend's generosities ** My partner went up to the bar and requested a refund on her Steak meal, which 'was' eventually given, but ONLY when we'd all given the bar manager instructions on how to MANAGE as a manager and give a complimentary drink 🍸 or knock a percentage off her bill off for her meal. If I was able to give 1/2 a ⭐ for this Greene King Public House - then I would've. 😤 I will NEVER return to The Teddington Arm's again. Nor will the ladies. So that will be quite a loss to this company by the time us sharing our experience of this pub with our friends & families, through word of mouth! 👄

Stumbled upon the pub. Great place to hangout. Good food, good service. The team is extremely helpful and friendly. Highly recommended if you are around the area.

Went to the pub with my girlfriend on Easter and had such a great experience! We met the most friendly manager—if I’m not mistaken, his name is Jose. What a guy! 10/10 for his amazing service. He was super kind and suggested we try the Sunday roast, which turned out to be absolutely delicious. We enjoyed every bite while watching the Arsenal match. Couldn’t have asked for a better vibe. Will definitely be back

Visited last week with some friends . We were very well looked after . Manager Jose and barman George were friendly and attentive. Food was very good and nicely presented . Definitely will be coming back again

I visited with work friends and we had a great evening. The wine was good and we all enjoyed our meals. I had the vegan pulled mushrooom chilli which was delicious and plentiful.

Such a lovely place to sit by the Thames and enjoy a delicious drink. Very nice selection of beer on tap and friendly staff willing to let you try before you buy! Large outdoor space with a very friendly atmosphere. Perfect for a range of mingling situations! We had a quick drink and my friend brought her dog. Great place!

If you are looking for a welcoming cosy spot to unwind after a long week of work this is your place! The real highlight is the staff. The moment I walked in I was received with warm smiles and genuine friendliness. Fantastic atmosphere that made me want to stay longer. Food-wise, I tried their new brunch option: I ordered the vegetarian menu which consisted of avocado on toast, poached eggs and tomatoes. Flavour was spot on and portion size quite generous. The service was excellent and really fast. Overall, I'd love to come back again to try the other options on their menu. Thank you!

I visited this evening with 3 workmates. The menu looked good so we thought we’d give it a try. When we went up to order the food we had to repeat ourselves a few times and the waitress seemed in a bad mood and rude. When the food arrived we had a few issues with it. My order was wrong as was my friends. When we pointed out the issues she got angry and said it wasn’t her fault. We waited the best part of an hour for the right food and when it did arrive it came with a Google review sheet and heap of sarcasm from her. We didn’t feel like eating it by then, because we were concerned it may have been tampered with. When we complained about her attitude to another member of staff she pushed past me and was rude again!! We insisted we got a refund which she did begrudgingly. We definitely would not return. I’ve never experienced service like it. Her name was Maria We will stick to the Abercorn Arms in future. Always had a good meal in there

Absolutely disgusting attitude from the waitress/manager! She got the food order wrong and instead of apologising she was raising her voice flicking the menu and receipt in our faces saying she gave us what we paid for. I have requested a fresh garden salad with grilled halloumi and all I’ve got was few rocket leafs and 3 piece of halloumi . The salad should have contained mint, spring onions, roasted potatoes and cucumber. When asked where are they she just shouted in my face that’s the salad I’ve ordered! Once I clarified that’s not what the menu says she took the plate away and took another 45 mins to receive the order which then got slammed on the table!!! I would not recommend this place !

Lovely pub ,spacious and very nicely decorated. Well kept beer and attentive but unobtrusive service from the very kind Venezuelan lady who served us. Highly recommended.

Done my bit in updating a previous average review as Jose was kind in his reply so less personal. The overarching issue is Estrella Galicia is £7.05 for a pint and a half £3.60. This is vastly overpriced on both counts. I’m no mathematician but this is ludicrous the disparity between the two measures, let alone a Galicia being more than the Damm it replaced here it doesn’t sit right. No wonder people just go to Wetherspoons these days. The atmos was fine until the footy ended but after that nowt going on. Even if you hate a Spoons it’s the only option some nights for people being in a venue to have some company. Onto the wider offering… The case in point if you refer to just the local area was Tedders Arms is pricier than local competitors (Abercorn, Hogarth, Mason’s and King’s Arms etc al) for a no better/worse experience. The current considerations for a business needs to be price v expectation v delivery v product. On this basis why bother here? It’s all wrong. I won’t be returning in a hurry.

That was an amazing burger which I wasn’t expecting 🫶🏻 Beer & Burger inc fries for £16 is great value.

We chose to have lunch here one Sunday for convenience. While the place is family-friendly, unfortunately, three out of four of us who ate the chicken ended up with upset stomachs for the rest of the day. The only person who didn’t eat the chicken was completely fine. When we raised the issue with the staff, they denied any responsibility obviously. We will never trust the food here again. Be cautious!

Mi local de Teddington durante más de 15 años, pero para hacerme sentir incómodo por declarar los hechos, es decir, que el asado tenía rango, me ha despedido. Siempre golpeaba y fallaba, pero hoy era tan malo que había dicho algo, pero me trataron como a una taza delante de mis compañeros. Tenía la boca llena de un asado y era basura, como si todo estuviera hervido. Todo el mundo tiene un mal día, pero es cómo tratas a la gente lo que cuenta. Un montón de pubs en Teddington, así que irá allí ahora si servir sloop y obtener comentarios negativos significa que su pregunta entonces... . Siempre regresando. ¡Pero mi dominó fue de calidad gracias a que sobreviví!

Nice customers with Dogs. Some very pleasant customers who are happy to greet new faces. Downside,Chavvy Barman and cloudy Beer. Suits a certain generation. Not good for a business meeting.

Overall my experience with this pub is great, I've eaten here multiple times. Food on average is good, but I've had the occasional cold meal but I still ate it. The staff are great and have always accommodated my family whenever we've popped in. I will recommend Hereford either a drink or dine

Something really wrong with the beer on taps, tried two different pints and both were so bad I couldn't drink them. Atmosphere was a bit boys boys boys for my liking but if that's your thing then it's not so bad. Has TV for sports dotted around which is decent although the contrast and vividness needs turning down a bit. Beer was definitely the worst thing, also no Guinness on a Saturday afternoon was a bit sad.

Smashing food, great drinks, music a little too loud.

Was full of people watching Chelsea v Man City, but they put the QPR game on a small screen at the back just for us. For that they deserve 5 stars.

Has a nice "local" vibe about it with some familiar faces and friendly service from the staff. Great for watching sport too.

Love this place. Came here at least 5 days a week. Very friendly staff. Great food. When theirs sport or no sports on no trouble and very friendly customers new or regulars. Would recommend coming here for what ever reasons.

The Pub has a great atmosphere . But sadly the Award Winning Steak and Ale pie was terrible. Looked good from the outside but the meat content was nearly non existant.

Came across this little gem with the GF on a Sunday walk. Football was on, fantastic atmosphere. Lady behind the bar (I think her name was Shannon) was very accommodating. We had the steak n ale pie and vegan burger. So delicious. Can wait to visit again.

I have been here many times now and always enjoyed it. The best sports pub in town by a long way. Their food always hits and their Guinness is next to none!! Shannon and Jay are always great and make us feel so welcome!

Just had a great lunch at the Teddington Arms. Great food and service for 6 of us including 2 kids. Will definitely be back.

We waited well over an hour for an extremely mediocre, dry Sunday roast. We asked where it was after 45 minutes only to be told they were serving a 'big' table first and we should wait (was definitely not a big table). 3:20pm we ordered, 5pm we received it! Literally insane... Gathered it was about a quid or two cheaper than most of the rest in the area but goodness it was terrible and chewy. Really disappointed.

Great pub, nice staff. Beer was fine. Didn’t try the food but it’s big and is a great place to watch sport. They’re pretty relaxed about letting teenagers watch sport during the day but they’re on it when it comes time for them to go. A huge step forward from their historic reputation of which little if anything remains

Daylight robbery £7.65 for a pint of beer and £3.55 for half a draught coke - won't be going back. Paid by credit card so didn't realise the cost

Myself and family came in for some dinner and beers. We were served excellently by Juliana, who was really nice and had great recommendations. Drinks were great and food was amazing, would definitely recommend coming here.

What a pleasure for Suffolk residents to find a home from home pub in Teddington! We only had a couple of drinks (which are expensive compared to Suffolk!) but this is a lovely pub and the beer is perfectly kept, I enjoyed a couple of pints of Level Head. We will be back if we are ever in the area.

Bad food. Nachos are a packet of Doritos with a few dollops of ketchup on. Nice enough service, terrible music.
