Always enjoy a visit to Little Rascal. Should go more often but life gets in the way. It’s friendly and non fussy. Relaxing and informative when the owners instruct on what wine to drink! They know what they’re talking about and selections have always matched our expectations. Great selection of wine obviously. Per glass and per bottle. If wine isn’t your thing then other options are available. And the cheese and charcuterie selection adds to a lazy afternoon. And to top if off there is the possibility that a dog enters. Always brings a smile.

I don’t often have a chance to visit this marvellous establishment, despite living locally. I am a self confessed “foodie”. I appreciate all cuisines but I am particularly partial to middle eastern and far east. So I’m lucky. I love this place. I wish one day I could cook like they do. I took my trainee to 112. She is a self confessed foodie too. Now her friends all want to go …! It’s all fresh, local and lip smacking gorgeous.the flavours are not subtle. They are brave. In your face and immediately demand your respect despite being presented as demure. It’s a full blown treat every time. The wine selection is naturally magnificent. The service is next to none. This is a very small family business. They put their heart and soul to make this place sing. And boy! It’s a choir. If you are thinking on visiting Nairn and not being in a hurry, book in advance. You won’t regret it. But think of it as a good treat. You’ll probably end up spending at least £50 a head. It’s well worth penny. Ps. Skip cauliflower.

We came to Inverurie for a weekend away before our baby arrives and we visited here twice for dinner and afternoon tea. Both were exceptional and the service from Debbie and the other staff was amazing. Debbie made us feel so welcome and took an interest in our weekend away. We will definitely be back! Thank you xx

Decided to have a morning out for Mothers Day,googled cafes and places to lunch in the Kirriemuir area and came across the Wee Bear Cafe which looked very nice.Their website said opened at 10am as it was around a 45 min drive we also called and answerphone message also said open from March, and tripadvisor also stated open 10-4. However we were bitterly disappointed when we arrived to find the place was closed!!!!. After speaking with someone who was staying locally we spoke to a girl in the accomodation next to the cafe who did apologise but no explanation given why they were shut, only saying they were opening on Thursday, totally different to all information avaliable online or by phone. There was a board outside saying due to family illness they would be shut on 27th and 28th,but as this was the 30th maybe it just had not been amended?. Possibly in the future somebody could keep the correct information updated so that potential customers would not be disappointed. Can't comment on cafe for obvious reasons.Sorry but have to speak as i find.

We met friends for brunch there this weekend. The cafe is very welcoming and the staff extremely friendly. The menu/specials sounded so exciting that we ordered 5 dishes between 4 of us - Brisket chilli with cauliflower rice, Prawn with avocado on a milk bun, and Huevos Rancheros. All of the dishes were absolutely fantastic and unusual. The coffee is also extremely good. We will definitely be back (and will no doubt become regulars!)

Having been in Brechin with my young son for a football match, we were struggling to find somewhere suitable to eat. Our hotel refused to open their kitchen as it wasn’t busy, so we had to go out and look for somewhere. We found the Auld Bakehouse just by wandering around. We asked if they had a table and they gave us the last one up by the stairs. We both had steak pie, chips and veggies. The food was lovely, and the portions generous. Only out done by the wonderful service. Next time I am in Brechin this will be my first choice, super experience. Very grateful that they let us squeeze in. I believe the place is BYOB but being with my wee boy I wasn’t drinking. Coffee was lovely!
