This charming cafe with lovely staff is a favourite place. Staff are lovely, very helpful. It is a venue for locals and travellers alike. Easily found , in the Main Street in Kippen, we always make time to call in. Great coffee and unbeatable scones. We also bought some delectable apple and almond cake to take home. Cyclists obviously see it as a necessary place to restore them for storming the hills! Highly recommended.

Rhubarb Lime has been great during the Covid-19 pandemic - queuing on a Sat for cake and wine has become a highlight of the weekend for those of us who are still working. Shona has also been delivering afternoon teas and making up gift bags with wine and lots of sweet and savoury treats - I was lucky to have one recently and it was fantastic. Greg is always on hand to recommend wine for gifts or meals and we have tried a lot of nice wine which we wouldn't normally go for. it will be nice when things get back to normal but until then long live Saturdays.

Once again, an excellent experience lunching at Rhubarb Lime.An excellent menu with a wide range of options for every palate which is fortunate seeing as our son (who has autism) is very particular about what he eats. Most sandwiches available offer a wide range of fillings, however, our son is a very plain eater and asking for a very plain cheese sandwich with a side order of crisps was no problem at all to the staff. This he followed with the huge slab of chocolate cake. We didn't request a huge slice, however, the staff were so accommodating and he was naturally delighted with the attention he received. I had a seafood platter with the choice of seafood readily available on display for me to choose from. My husband had a veg & goat's cheese panini and we both had a mug of the soup of the day (carrot & coriander) - again, very appetising and filling. We are looking forward to our next visit. Always a very worthwhile experience.

Saying nearby so had a walk to Kippen. Didnt want to go in the pub so went to the cafe, there were 5 of us and 2 dogs, luckily it was dry as we had to sit outside, nice picnic benches to sit at but cold and damp, would be better if they provided something to sit on.Apart from that the staff were very friendly and the food was lovely. Would recommend but maybe if you have a dog wait until summer or take a blanket to sit on.

My wife and I went to the Café having been there several times before and had a good experience. When we were seated we were given menus immediately which was a good start. However, we had to wait 20 minutes to be asked what we wanted. During that time, all other customers had been provided with their meals but not us. We noticed that for that 20 minutes 2 of the serving staff were occupying a table and having lunch. Once they had finished they came to us and took our order. The food was fine and suited our needs.

Visited Rhubarb Lime for the first time today and will certainly return. This is a small cafe, in a little village, but it has an excellent range of first class food. I was with a friend and we chose a deli platter and a fish platter. You had the option of several foods to make a platter of your choosing. After we had lovely cream strawberry sponge and a delicious fruit square. The white wine I had with my lunch was so good that I bought a bottle to bring home with me along with a bottle of red wine which was recommended. The range of wines they stock at Rhubarb Lime are first class. I also purchased a jar of whisky marmalade and some greetings cards. The staff were all extremely pleasant. It was Kippen gala day which was lovely event, stalls, music, etc. and it’s great to see a small community put on such an outstanding event.

My family were staying in nearby Mains Farm Wigwams and wedecided to stop by in Kippen on our way home. We pulled up to Rhubarb Lime on what was a beautiful sunny day and the cafe was bright, cheery and cosy, with lots of local produce for sale. I like to see local business' support each other so this was a nice touch. We had a drink and a cake each- I had the lemon cake which was lovely and moist, my oldest son had a chocolate chip muffin (decorated with an egg design on top which was apt for Easter time) which he said was very tasty and full of chocolate, my other son had Victoria sponge which he said was delicious and my daughter and husband had a scone each. The scones were still warm from the oven and they both raved about the jam which accompanied it. The menu is compact but executed well, other diners seemed pleased with their food. The staff were friendly and helpful and food was reasonably priced. All in all, this place was a great wee find and I'm looking forward to returning when I'm back in the area.

Rhubarb Lime is a cafe/deli/wine shop all rolled into one and the only place in the local area that sells good quality fresh veg. We were passing by from a hospital visit in Stirling and enjoyed the coffee, the freshly baked and substantial fruit scones and the busy, purposeful atmosphere of this charming, friendly cafe. We cycled out from Glasgow and were well looked after, water bottles refilled etc. Lovely coffee and superb clotted cream scones. Nice to have some tables outside to sit and for those of you with a designated driver what a cracking selection of wines to have with your lunch or just to chill. Well worth a visit, we will be definitely be back.

Didn't have a full lunch, just coffee and cake. OK wouldn't rave about it but its fine for a quick bite. Staff very pleasant and the cake was lovely, is more of a shop than a coffee house but they have plenty of comfy chairs and tables and if the weather is nice you can sit outside. Good value for a snack and would go again if in the area

Attended a Spanish Wine-Tasting evening on 17th June, with other members of a local club. The hosts, Gregg & Shona, made sure that we had an excellent evening. Gregg gave excellent descriptions of each wine, while Shona cooked a fantastic meal (to soak up the alcohol). This was the second time I have visited for a wine-tasting and the experience was every bit as good as the first. In addition to the wines, they also stock a varied selection of craft beers, artisan food and also have a cafe. Just about the perfect mixture.

We visited for a selection of Spanish wine tasting and tapas, food and drink was excellent. The hosts Gregg & Shona looked after us with Gregg educating us in the wine and Shona making sure we had enough to eat. Excellent night, recommended.

Great food, friendly staff and probably the best coffee ever. Located in the village of Kippen off the beaten track, this is a little gem not to be missed. Great wine selection and I make no apologies for going back time after time.

Had a great night with a group for friends at a wine tasting ( which would sound highbrow unless you knew my friends! )Lovely food, great wine, and great service.Still not a convert to sherry though - no matter how chilled ( sorry Gregg) - but the other 7 wee rated were all fantastic! )

This was our first time visit to this café, delicatessen and coffee shop.A chilled and relaxing place with a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were lovely and they were very happy to chat to you about the history of the place and the beautiful village of Kippen itself. The food was all freshly prepared and of a very high standard both in taste and presentation and it was great value for money. If you or whoever you are with fancies a drink they have an amazing selection of wines and real ales. Kippen is only a 10 minute drive from Stirling so the next time you are up that way make sure visit this little hidden gem

Taking a quick Motorbike tour in the Highlands and decided to use the quieter roads beyond Glasgow into the Trossachs. This lovely Tearoom is on the North side of the Loch and it's definitely a find! Vast range of teas available, home baked cakes and scones (delicious btw) plus a range of food on the menu if you want something more substantial (I was content with the scone with jam & cream & a pot of Earl Grey). On a cool, grey September day, it's warm, spacious and cosy interior was a delight as was the owner/proprietor! 😊👌 She (Kay, I think?) runs the place singlehandedly and efficiently, even when 10 different visitors all turn up within 15 minutes of each other... well done for managing the heavy demand 👏 & pleased that everyone appreciated your super effort in making sure that everyone was served in rotation with the minimum delay possible. 😊👍 Btw, the pic is from the south of the Loch looking toward the north 👌

Happy faces all round as this cafe served snacks, cakes and drinks to a satisfied mix of customers. Saturday lunchtime crowd said everything and my order was spot on for what I needed. Highly recommended.

Imagine you come back by train to stirling after a long day in edinburgh. Tired, grumpy and hungry walking through the streets. All you want is a coffee from unorthodox roasters. But the place is closed and the vinyl shop beside also. Then you meet a guy walking to his car and saying „how are you?“. You have a little chat about coffee and other things, ending with a present (grinded coffee) to take home to germany. Happens only in stirling, scotland, in front of unorthodox roasters. The guy we met was Neil, the owner of the place (unorthodox roasters), who reopened his place just to give us this present to save our day! Unbelievable! Thank you so much, my friend, we enjoyed the coffee a few minutes ago back home in germany freshly made with our little espresso maker! Or, as Neil would say: „Life is good!“ Greets, hope to meet you again, Willy&Sarah

My mum and I recently decided to try out this cafe for lunch and we were very impressed with the tapas/small plate dishes, and with the cake. The food was fresh and delicious. Today I went back with my baby and found it to be a lovely cafe to breastfeed in as well - there is a small family area at the back which is lamp lit and affords some privacy. The staff are very friendly, and were particularly good when I was flustered with a hungry baby today. This is just what Stirling was needing - my new favourite cafe!
