This is honestly the best bakery in the world!! The doughnuts and cookies are the best things I have ever tasted. You haven't lived until you have tried their food :)

the staff were amazing i watched them spit on my food and it added extra flavour🤩 i then found out they make they cakes with grass and alot of sugar daddys involved

Amazing experience for any coeliac, very allergen friendly. Main downfall is that everything looked so good it so hard to decide what to have. Very friendly staff. The mini sugar donuts were incredible. Would definitely recommend, it’s well worth the visit.

Gluten free heaven. So many sweet and savoury options. Great festive choices. Pigs in blanket sausage roll to die for! Well worth the walk out the city center! Will be back again soon. Thank you

Amazing selection of Gluten Free Treats, both sweet & savoury including biscuits, cakes & pastries (although the savoury options clearly sell out fast!). Absolutely delicious & great value for money, clear signage as to the allergen status of all items. Unfortunately take-away only and not the easiest location to get to - but well worth a visit.

Gluten free heaven. Everything was incredible, the pizza scones are probably the nicest gluten free I've ever eaten and I wish I bought more! The cookies were delicious and the bread used for the toasties was the nicest gluten free bread I've had in a long time. The staff are so lovely too!

We trekked across town to find Sugar Daddy’s, so glad we did. Excellent New York pastrami sandwiches, (even my non coeliac husband enjoyed it), gorgeous cakes and delicious scones (a rarity in gf circles) and the nicest coffee all weekend. If it isn’t raining (it was for us) stock up for a picnic in the park.

Everything was gluten free was great for me a coeliac. The pricing was very reasonable. They have new stuff out each day so it’s a great excuse to try new stuff. There is no seating just so you are aware but that does not take away from the place. In the summer months you can always go the park and have a picnic with the bits you buy. They have a good labelling system that shows what allergens are in each.

Researched good spots for gluten free options before traveling to Edinburgh and this place came up time and time again- it didn’t disappoint!! All sorts of goodies made in a completely gluten free kitchen that are super scrummy. Highly recommend the cheese and red onion toastie and caramel and custard cookie sandwich.Only downside is the distance from Manchester to the shop- open one here please!!

Gorgeous gluten free treats!! Beautiful mini doughnuts, cupcakes, slices - all sorts of sweet, yummy cakes. We especially enjoyed the Brookie (combination of a brownie and a cookie); the Salted caramel cupcake and the caramelised onion and cheese scones. They also do a lovely cup of tea! EVERYTHING is gluten free and you wouldn’t know because it’s so gorgeous.

As a coeliac it is so difficult to find gluten free cakes at a bakery. There was so much choice for me which was amazing. I had a chocolate cupcake which was delicious, will definitely be back. Shame they are not doing dine in as I would like to sit in. Staff said it was takeaway for the foreseeable future.

Have been here many times and fall even more in love each time.Cakes are always super fresh and tasty, so many flavors and options on offer almost to many to choose from!Sell lovely fresh bread and also hot food.If you are visiting Edinburgh this is a MUST.

No había estado antes, pero primero investigué un poco en línea al respecto. Un poco de caminata para llegar allí, ya que no es realmente céntrico, pero vale la pena caminar. Lamentablemente, no había ningún lugar para sentarse afuera a tomar un pastel y un café, pero afortunadamente el clima era bueno, así que llevamos nuestro picnic de pastel y café al parque cercano y nos sentamos al sol llenos de agua.Tuve el bollo de pizza, sándwich de galleta de fresa y chocolate blanco y tahini blondie y todos fueron increíbles. Mi amigo que no es GF y que tenía el muffin de plátano dijo que estaba delicioso. El único gemido leve es que las dos chicas detrás del mostrador estaban un poco fuera de lugar, sin esperar todas las sonrisas, pero una manera amigable siempre ayuda.

La mejor variedad de delicias sin gluten en Edimburgo, ¡si no en Escocia! Todo es absolutamente delicioso, se ve tan bien y a un precio tan razonable. ¡Nunca sé qué intentar! Como celíaco, es increíble ir a algún lugar donde puedas tener absolutamente todo. Siente que todo suele tener una pequeña sorpresa, como caramelo en medio de un cupcake o ganache de chocolate blanco que rezuma de una galleta sándwich. Aún no he probado las opciones saladas, pero es solo cuestión de tiempo.

The best cafe for gluten free food. We were literally in heaven - everything was gluten free from toasted sandwiches, burritos, cakes to scones. Would definitely recommend and next time we are in in Edinburgh we will return

Sugar Daddy’s was on my to-visit list before I even got to Edinburgh. I stalked the Instagram for months waiting to arrive, absolutely beside myself thinking about what I might order, what i could have...because I have celiac and normally when I go somewhere my menu is about 3 choices long and rather pathetic and never includes desserts; and not good ones. But Sugar Daddy’s was perfection. I tried everything. French toast, cookies, cupcakes, donuts.... I bought a breakfast in store and carried out a huge sack to take with me for the next few days. It was all amazing. It tasted so good I could cry. All of it was phenomenal and my friend who is not celiac went with and was amazed that nothing tasted “not real” to her.Would I move to Scotland for this bakery? Yes. 10/10 YES. Also follow their Instagram if you want to occasionally cry over delicious snacks.

Lovely bright cafe in Marchmont with great food and great service. The entire menu is gluten free so its great for coeliacs, and they also accommodate other allergies with ease. Can’t recommend it enough.

El pastel de zanahoria es mi favorito y esta versión vegana no me decepcionó. Mis compañeros de trabajo no tenían idea de que era un pastel vegano. Definitivamente ordenaré nuevamente para pastel de cumpleaños. No pude resistir golosinas adicionales. Los pasteles de carne picada son los mejores que he probado. He estado yendo a Sugar Daddy's durante años y todavía lo estaré en los próximos años.

Wonderful bakery with beautifully presented and deliciously flavored baked goods. Had a fantastic avocado toast for lunch. Will return for sweets ASAP!

I visited at around lunch time and they didn't have many items available. There was no customer in there even though it was Fringe season and a Saturday. I wasn't overwhelmed by the selection or the service.

My first visit - won't be the last. Went in for avocado on toast, and stayed for one of the amazing cakes. The non-cake menu isn't huge, but it includes filled rolls and soup, and the variety of cakes is fabulous. The staff are lovely and the service is good.

It's the festival and like most people were are in a hurry. Ordered a sandwich that took 20 minutes to arrive! When we complained the owner/manger (he didn't introduce himself) was rude, defensive and walked off. The sandwich was OK.

Located a 10 min walk from Princes Street, this little bakery on the corner of a quiet street is a very unassuming place.

I came here when I was in Edinburgh, it was a bit of a walk from the centre but my god it was worth it!! They have a massive selection of gluten free cakes, cupcakes, biscuits etc. I had to have a piece of cake in with a lovely coffee and pretty much bought one of everything to take away and try. The staff were fantastic, friendly and informative. The next time I am in Edinburgh I am heading straight here

I visited here with my daughters after hearing that all products were nut and peanut free. What can I say this place is amazing whether or not you have allergies. We ordered tea and could not decide what cakes to order so ordered 3 different cakes which we shared.

I had read many rave reviews online about Sugar Daddy's Bakery and knew I had to make a stop while in Edinburgh. Let me tell you, I am so glad I did! The bakery itself is very charming and the staff were warm, welcoming and helpful with all of my questions. There was a large selection that was both gluten free and vegan including donuts, cookies, brownies, cookie sandwiches and cupcakes! My travel companion and I couldn't decide what to get so we decided to order one of each to give them all a taste test.

Excellent gluten free cakes. We had brownies and blondies from here and they were delicious. As a coeliac I was over the moon to find this place. Would recommend.

Used to go to the Rodney St. Bakery every time we're in Edinburgh but wanted to try the new one on Roseneath St. as they do more selection. It a brilliant. There are seats to sit in and they do rolls, toastie and french toast. The cakes are all amazing and usually get a selection while we're in the area. It's great for a sweet treat. They also had in scones. The staff are very friendly.

Had the pleasure of ordering a cake for my Mum's birthday, she is a Coeliac and other than the usual supermarket rubbish, choice is few and far between for a large cake.

After being teased non stop by there facebook pictures i decided to swing by and try the cakes out... was worth the visit!

Had lovely doughnuts for 90p so bought 2 and some amazing cupcakes. There was a lot to offer. If this was more in the city it would be amazing and would have gone every day I was there!!

Went for family lunch, and everyone was satisfied with the choice of options, and everything was tasty. I had haggis pizza and a carrot cake sandwich cookie which was one of the best things i have had recently. Everyone else in the group enjoyed thier choices too, including french toast. You would be hard pushed to know which things your items are 'free from' just by taste/ texture, everything is clearly labled. Service was also good - and when I have been before, also flexible and happy to help with specific requests. Have been to the Rodney Street premises where the amount of cake on offer is just as good and it is nice to sit for coffee.

We dropped into Sugar Daddy's Marchmont branch for a quick lunch the other day. It was a good choice. The cafe is bright and cheerful, and spotlessly clean. The menu is quite limited, but there were enough choices for the three of us. I had a tasty bowl of soup; my friends had scrambled eggs and French toast. All delicious.

Sugar Daddy's made our wedding cake and I can't rave enough about it. My husband has coeliac disease and I am vegan so we got a 3-tiered semi naked gluten-free and vegan wedding cake. It was honestly the most delicious cake I have ever tasted. The texture was fantastic, it was moist, and the rise and structure were bang on which is very difficult to achieve with a GF vegan cake! Every slice was gone by the end of the night and our guests told us it was the best wedding cake they'd ever had. We were so happy with it and I'm so glad we stumbled across Sugar Daddy's. I can't wait until I'm next through in Edinburgh to swing by one of their bakeries!

I have Coeliac Disease and Sugar Daddy's has so many amazing options! I never know what to pick. The coffee is also incredible and the staff always have a nice chat. Would recommend 100%.

As a coeliac, I have been visiting the bakery on Rodney Street since it opened and I have recently visited their new larger bakery in Marchmont a few times. They never ever disappoint - they always have an amazing selection of gluten free cakes, tray bakes, brownies, cookie sandwiches and other treats. They also cater for other allergens with a large number of their treats also being dairy free/soya free/egg free/vegan and all of this being clearly labelled at the counter. The staff are always friendly and smiley. They made a "jam and custard" birthday cake for my dad's 60th birthday last year which was totally amazing. I always look forward to my "sugar daddy fix" and seeing what they have on offer as it is always changing!! Whether you are on a gluten free diet or not you have to try this out!

Visited Sugar Daddies cafe in Marchmont today, my Daughter has coeliac disease and was very impressed by choice. Had delicious panini and cupcake. I enjoyed savoury scone and great flat white coffee Staff friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend for great GF options.

Ordered a ginger cake and bake at home salted caramel cookie dough for Christmas. It was very affordable at £11 for gluten free and dairy free/vegan. Couldn't resist their millionaires brownie as well!

Having previously visited the original Sugardaddy’s bakery for take away cakes decided to try out the new cafe . Large choice of items for brunch. I ordered the French toast with bacon and maple syrup, my daughter took the toast with advocacy and cheese. Everything on the menu is gluten free and was freshly made. We took some cakes and bread home with us. I’m not gluten free but I would never have known.

Traveling with Celiac disease, I am always happy to find a gluten free bakery. My first day in Edinburgh,Scotland I tried the donuts, scones and a cookie. I didn't love the cookie, but the pizza scone was amazing! I had to return my last day there and get 2 more to go. They were not dry at all and were very flavorful. I gave 5 stars because the scones made up for the cookie-which was ok. But not great. No parking, so my husband just dropped me off and circled the block! Awesome little bakery!

I visited Sugar Daddies new branch at Roseneath Street for brunch - just delicious French toast & cinnamon apples & scrambled egg on toast. Large selection of GF cakes & bakes but options for dairy free too.If you are coeliac or choose to eat GF then this café/ bakery is a must visit.

Petit paradis pour les coeliaques : cette boulangerie est entièrement sans gluten et propose beaucoup de produits vegans aussi. Les gâteaux sont bons en général, les scones fourrés sont divins, malheureusement je n'ai pas pu tester le pain : ils n'en faisaient pas les deux fois où je suis venue (un comble pour une boulangerie ...)

We stopped here in the early afternoon because my girlfriend and I wanted some cakes, and her being gluten and lactose intolerant always makes it hard. However not only the cakes looked lovely in here, but they were delicious! Amanda said her muffin was the best gluten free muffin she ever had!

From being Coeliac and eating gluten free for most of my life, I have often been known to plan long walks or even trips around gluten free cake. This place was instead one we stumbled upon on the way to The Bluebird cafe for the most amazing gluten free pancakes....what a find! All the cakes not only looked amazing but were clearly labelled for multiple allergens, something that takes very little effort but makes so much difference. I can highly recommend the Blondie and Salted Caramel Cupcake. Not too far from the main tourist attractions and certainly worth the walk!

After following the Instagram page for ages, I've finally been! Hooray! Planning a trip to Edinburgh obviously had to incorporate a trip to sugar daddys and I was not disappointed. There was so much choice, I would have had 1 of everything if I could! Though I almost did!

If you need a cake, do not hesitate to order it from here. Excellent service. We had a most delicious birthday cake which was very yummy and beautifully presented.

Went this morning for the first time, ordered a ploughman’s. This consisted of a tough chewy roll, unpleasant cheese, one slice of tomato and some generic Branson’s type pickle on poorly spread butter. Really bad. I only finished because I was starving. The tomato basil soup was acceptable but I’d expected far more. Service was slow as well for a basic take away soup n sandwich for over £6.

A friend and I visited today with our 4 kids for cake and coffee and we were blown away! such an amazing choice of sweet treats for us on display... it was hard to choose! Couldnt believe they were all gluten free and with so many other dietary requirements catered for.

We came to the new branch of Sugar Daddy's on its opening day and had a really lovely time. There was a great selection of cakes most of which were gluten free, or dairy free or vegan, or all three! The cakes were delicious, and there was a great buzz in the café. The staff were all very friendly and smiley. Will definitely come again soon!

Took a walk to this baker to get some gluten free cakes for my daughter. Big selection, hard to decide. Bought a Blondie with lemon drizzle, a raspberry chocolate cookie and a Viennese whirl , we shared the cakes and needles to say they were absolutely delicious. Not crumbly like most gf biscuits. What a joy ... the best GF DF savory scone I’ve ever had ... phenomenal sweet treats. I ate the caramel brownie and the next day I enjoyed the cinnamon donut cupcake (very sweet rich frosting!). The vibe warmed my heart because it reminded me of my hometown in Portland, Oregon. Can’t wait for next weekend trip to Edinburgh from London. I should have had my husband get a treat there - he’s not GF or DF and very picky about eating my subsitutes, but I bet even he would like it! We’ll be back! Thank you so much.

Great selection of gluten free cakes. Last time I went they had Battenburg which was amazing and I've not had it since as it's a very rare find gluten free but unfortunately they didn't do it this time. Cakes were delicious! Took a selection to box up and take home for the family. Shortbread biscuit, chocolate cookie and donuts too. Also do coffees/drinks now. A must go place for coeliacs when in Edinburgh.

Went in here for some takeaway cakes to tuck into after doing the Edinburgh Half Marathon. Having spotted Sugar Daddy’s on instagram I fancied trying these as a treat, as for someone who is GF they looked far superior than the usual GF offering. Usually cakes as beautiful as these struggle to live up to expectations as they look so great, but the taste of these truly exceeded expectations too!! I sampled a few different things and all were super tasty, PB and J slice was honestly one of the best baked things I’ve tasted in a long time. Great vegan options too (I have a vegan sister and she LOVED hers) plus my partner who can be resistant to GF options thoroughly enjoyed his, couldn’t even tell it was GF! Don’t visit Edinburgh without popping in. Portions are gigantic too!!

The cake that I had, an Aero Mint Blondie, was certainly unique, and very tasty. You can tell that everything is fresh. The lady who served me was also very friendly.

We walked a good distance to find dairy free desserts for my daughter while on vacation in Edinburgh. She was thrilled with the selection and it was worth the trip for us. Caramel salted brownies were very good.

Excellent small bakery just outside of the city centre. We had the coconut cupcake and the birthday cake cupcake and they were delicious! The bread products looked amazing. Recommended for any gluten free eaters.

No words to describe how amazing this place is!! If i lived nearby, i would visit all the time!! The white chocolate blondie was to die for!!!

My partner and I arranged with JP to have a 3-tier wedding cake consisting of three flavours: lemon drizzle, red velvet, and vanilla chocolate chip. All three layers were fantastic, and the frosting complimented each layer beautifully. JP and his team were able to set up the cake at the venue with no complications and they made the entire process extremely stress free, through both their excellent organisation and also their friendly personalities.

Ik heb nog nooit zoveel keuze gehad in gluten vrij gebak, cakes, koekjes en brood als hier. Wat heerlijk, alles ziet er geweldig uit en het smaakt ook echt fantastisch! Ik had de brownie (zonder gluten, zuivel en ei) met karamel zeezout en mijn man de gluten vrije cake met bosbessen en witte chocolade. Hij proefde het verschil niet. Ze hadden zelfs cappuccino, latte etc. met kokos-, amandel of sojamelk! Wouw! Echt een aanrader!

This is one of my favourite places in the world. Gluten free bakeries are not common, so this little shop is unique. On top of that, its offerings are very, very delicious. Nothing tastes like a substitute. Just treats in their own right. One can have coffee - and cake!!! - at a friendly table, often meeting fellow sufferers. You can also take things away. By the way, the coffee is also very good.

My wife has Coeliac disease and in the past we've struggled to get her some really good cakes. Too often they are plastic packed, tasteless and stodgy! When we came across Sugar Daddy's a while back our struggle was over. All the cakes are freshly made and they have a wide and ever changing choice, they are truly delicious and well worth the price. I have just bought her a celebration 'drip effect' salted caramel birthday cake, wow! I'm lucky that I don't suffer from Coeliac disease nor any wheat intolerance but so good are Sugar Daddy's cakes they are now very firmly my favourite bakery in Edinburgh!

I had looked up this bakery before heading to Edinburgh and it doesn't disappoint. The choice and array of cakes is fantastic. The cakes are so fresh and tasty. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The cakes appeal to everyone even if you are not coeliac. Definitely a must when in Edinburgh. Go early though as they sell out!

After seeing a recent review about this place, it was a must visit when we went to Edinburgh. We were lucky too as we went late afternoon and the Cake had nearly all gone!

As a Coeliac with dairy intolerance, it’s difficult to find tasty cake options that aren’t just chocolate brownies. There were so many options here, including the vegan hot chocolate, that we walked away with nearly 10 cakes for later. The staff were very friendly and there is a little seating area (which was perfect for us as it was a very wet day).

LOVE LOVE LOVE Sugar Daddy's. This is how much: just returned from New Zealand last night after about 35 hours flying and with my 1-year-old, saw that SD was closing for a New Year break, so literally ran across town today this morning as soon as I got up to go before it closed - it's that good!

This bakery is brilliant, it is exactly how I would do a gluten free bakery (one can dream).

I’m fortunate enough to live round the corner from Sugar Daddy’s and have to stop myself going regularly! I’m not gluten or dairy free but would still choose this bakery, the cakes are so delicious! You really can’t tell they’re not made with gluten/ dairy.

My wife is vegan so I decided this year to get her a salted caramel cake from Sugar Daddy's. Picked it up yesterday and we just had to eat it early as the presentation is amazing. I'm not vegan myself but that cake was stunningly good I want one for my next birthday. I've tried other goodies from here, when ordering the cake, and they where just as amazing. Thank you so much for the amazing treats! Can't wait to pop by and try something else.

We tried two of the cupcakes, one was vanilla and the other was orange and chocolate - both were nut free, vegan and gluten free, and really moist and delicious! We also had potato scones, pesto scones and a herbed flat bread. All excellent! Looking forward to weekly visits to this shop, may it thrive and prosper!

Really cool wee bakery; welcoming and friendly with a nice interior and quirky colours. Absolutely amazing range of cakes with loads that were vegan, had a beautiful brownie (and I mean BEAUTIFUL!). Also a really tasty peanut butter and jam bake and a pesto olive scone that was perfectly cooked. Honestly this place knows their baking... highly recommend and will definitely be back.

You must try this bakery even if you don't have to have gluten free / vegan goodies. I have coeliac disease so I was in heaven ! My mum who can eat anything also loved the Eton mess cupcake! If I lived closer I'd be in there everyday ! Amazing!

My wife - a sweet-toothed vegan-would live here if she could. Cupcakes, cookies and cakes are the best I've had in Edinburgh and coffee is excellent. Staff very friendly and there is a loyalty scheme which is good for our joint account. Can't recommend highly enough.

This place is amazing. I take all my visitors here because I love all the cakes they do. It's so nice to have somewhere that is gluten free and still yummy. My family/friends who aren't coeliac even love the cakes. I always leave with more than I went for as I can never decide. I will miss this place when I finish uni and move away from Edinburgh. Slightly expensive but currently that is necessary as gluten free ingredients are so much more expensive than "normal" ingredients.

They have an amazing selection on cupackes, brownies, blondies and scones in a display case, and I tried quite a few of them!

You wouldn't guess that they are anything-free! I'm addicted to their battenberg cakes- the most amazing cakes I've ever eaten (and I've eaten a few!)

It was delightful to walk into a bakery where all the options were gluten free.the cakes we had were delicious and customer service was excellent.

Brilliant range of gluten free cakes - normally other half struggles to find something he likes, here he was spoilt for choice. Cakes tasted great, I certainly wouldn't have known they were gluten free

This place is amazing, was introduced to it by a friend and couldn't believe how delicious it was. The small doughnuts are like clouds so soft and delicious. Everything is amazing and prices are really good too! Can't wait to visit again!

I had to get a gluten free cupcake for a children's party and they didn't hesitate to help, while in there, we tried two cupcakes, and the amazing coffee, I was really impressed with the flavour and taste of the cupcakes. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
