Peggy’s Cafe in The Open Door is a fabulous place. Simple decor but very warm welcome and particularly kind to those with difficulties. I took my Mum with dementia and they were amazing.

Hot soup, and simple fare with delightful and attentive staff. I really liked that the people running the cafe are a nearly 40-year old charity which provides friendship clubs each week and so your custom is supporting that community service ;-)

Dedicated to supporting isolated people, this volunteer staffed resource does a great job. Bear in mind it's volunteer staffed and budget so it's unfair to expect deluxe food or drink or super fast service. Decent for what it is and great to have there!

Perfect for tea and home made cake. This friendly charity has a cafe and downstairs hosts a range of activities for the local community. Free and stuff to read WiFi too.

First time ive been to a deli and it definitely didnt disappoint. I had a tuna panini it was the best ive had in a long time. I had a cup of tea. The tea was perfect. If you dont want to eat in there are parks in this area. Overall it was a delight to eat here.

86 Raeburn PlaceI write this review as a regular customer at the Pastry Selection, with the majority of my visits during weekdays Mondays to Friday. The day on Saturday a day to visit and purchase the coffee within and then after sat with my laptop, after 30 minutes I was approached by a member of staff who I have not previously seen within the premisses. The staff member requested that I leave if I was making no further purchases. I informed her that I had not finished the coffee I had purchased where upon she stated ‘as soon as I finish it I should purchase another or leave’ this interaction took place in front of other customers which I found belittling and demeaning. Not two things a regular customer should experience. Whilst I love the premisses the conduct of the staff member toward me was both ignorant, arrogant and totally inappropriate. In view of this conduct towards me as a customer, it has resulted in me not wanting to go back.
