Peggy’s Cafe in The Open Door is a fabulous place. Simple decor but very warm welcome and particularly kind to those with difficulties. I took my Mum with dementia and they were amazing.

Amazing place, and amazing staff.

Hot soup, and simple fare with delightful and attentive staff. I really liked that the people running the cafe are a nearly 40-year old charity which provides friendship clubs each week and so your custom is supporting that community service ;-)

Dedicated to supporting isolated people, this volunteer staffed resource does a great job. Bear in mind it's volunteer staffed and budget so it's unfair to expect deluxe food or drink or super fast service. Decent for what it is and great to have there!

Great venue for social & community groups with cafe.

Cosy and friendly with reasonable prices. The Cafe' is run by volunteers with the aim to rise funds for activities for the elderlies of the local community.

It is a charity helping the less advantaged and well worth supporting - the coffee is good as well

Wonderful for tea and home made cake. Friendly with free Wi-Fi.

Nice little place for a cheap tea or coffee, they also do very reasonably priced hot rolls.

A nice space, with meeting rooms and good facilities available in the basement and a lively, pleasant cafe at street level. Would love to know what the ethos and raison d'etre of this place is. Anybody know?
