We had a family lunch here yesterday. Wonderful, tasty food. Warm and efficient service and some live music. Highly recommend!

We enjoyed our evening at the Wee Greek. The host was fabulous and catered well to say he was doing everything apart from the cooking. The starters were amazing and full of flavour. The mains, although really good, they lacked any real flavour. They were bland. Baclava saved the day however, it was delicious.

Yet another beautiful vegetarian dinner - we ordered starters and sides to create a vegetarian tapas meal. Friends also enjoyed delicious pork dishes. As usual, there was a relaxed atmosphere and the owners are just so friendly and welcoming. Sundays are well worth a visit when they have live music. A real treat! Thank you Faedra and Spyros.

Yet another wonderful visit to the Wee Greek Kitchen. Delicious vegetarian dishes.....we ordered lots of sides and starters so it was tapas but Greek. We had feta, potato, tomato and aubergine dishes and the meat eaters had pork which was so tasty. What a relaxing, welcoming venue with such great owners and on Sundays there is even live music!

Amazing. Staying in nearby Travelodge, looking for a restaurant walking distance from hotel. Wow what an amazing small family run business portions are great, food was just amazing. With a decent selection of GF starters and deserts. No dedicated kids menu, but my fussy youngest devoured the lemon chicken. High recomend this place, check out the ceiling once inside. There is live music sunday daytime and they offer Student discount.

Best Greek food I had in my life, and I'm Greek and I've eaten in Greece a billion times. Basically Spiros from Crete who owns this place took the best of what Greek cuisine offers with some of the best meats in the world here in Scotland. Wow.

Friendly local place with good and interesting traditional greek food that is not over priced and a menu that changes occasionally. Fairly small but not busy midweek so often able to get a table at short notice. The cheerful proprietor welcomed us with an amuse bouche and a small glass of ouzo. A bit out of the centre but worth a visit.

Birthday dinner... We ate a bit of everything. I had the fried feta in kataifi pasta, with honey... so good that I even licked my ears. Generous portions, medium-high prices, but Edinburgh is really expensive. Great little NEO: we came out of there smelling like pancakes.

Amazing place and service. You could really feel a very family-like atmosphere in the restaurant. The food was delicious, and there was live music playing! I went there on a date with my girlfriend, and I have to admit it was both our first time at a Greek restaurant, and we are absolutely thrilled! I highly recommend it to everyone!

Was looking forward to coming but was disappointed, a ritz cracker as a welcome, prawn saganaki was bland, no bread with it to soak up juices, fried zucchini was oily, tzatziki was lovely. Lamb dish was salty, no sauce and oily chips, pork and prune dish was a nice sauce, pork was so over cooked it was dry and mashed potatoes were lumpy! We sadly won’t be back. Service wasn’t great either, brought main course before had finished starters then didn’t clear starter dishes away.

Food was amazing and very authentic! Felt like we stepped into Greece for a night.

Wee Greek Kitchen is a great place, superb hospitality and delicious meals. We ordered Moussaka and Lamb - well seasoned and mouthwatering. We also had a jug of wine with it which was perfect. Highly recommend!

Incredibly authentic and delicious Greek food that was flavoursome and made from quality ingredients. The moussaka was amazingly yummy and the lamb mince dish was delicious and very generously portioned. Setting is intimate and service was warm and efficient. The baklava is the best we’ve tasted on our travels around the world!! Fresh and bursting with fresh flavours! If you’re too full to fit it in for dessert then make sure you get some to go 😊

Truly authentic Greek cuisine, cooked like home-made food in an authentic atmosphere with love music on Sundays, excellent service and very very good choice of starters, mains, salads, sides, sweets, wines and alcohol. Like a proper Greek taverna of yesteryear. Most highly recommended!

Food came cold, mushrooms that were paid extra are so tine there's almost nothing in the box! The chips were so soggy and drowned in oil. The potatoes weren't even finished. Never again.

Everything you expect from an authentic, family run Greek restaurant. Delicious food, fantastic service and great atmosphere. Wholly recommend the Apaki starter and Moussaka insanely good! Can’t wait to go back to try more of the menu!

A beautiful restaurant. A real family enterprise. It feels like a little old Greek restaurant has been transplanted into Edinburgh. The food is really delicious, and has a much more interesting menu than your typical British-Greek restaurant. The staff/owners are super friendly and really care about the food. There is also a fantastic selection of Greek wine available.

Great place: unpretentious, delightful staff and delicious food. The painted ceiling and the replica cave paintings in the toilet are worth the trip! Excellent Greek coffee with cardamom too.

Small Greek restaurant with a lovely atmosphere and Greek music. The host was very friendly. The food was good and well presented and reasonably priced. An aperitif of a slice of cucumber yoghert sundried tomato and olive oil and ouzo while we waited for our meal. We enjoyed our evening

Delightfull food,service and atmosphere. We seemed to have been lucky to just get in without reservation, but instead of some employee skeptically checking the reservations book we were welcome with open arms. The food was great and plenty, all the meals we had for 4. Thanks!

I took the mother here for an early dinner, and we certainly weren't disappointed. The battered zucchini with tahini was absolutely delightful, and the roasted potatoes with sausage side with battered cod main were delicious. My mum struggled with the mousakka, purely because it took so long to cool down. We had house Greek wine, and it tasted just as it did back in Skiathos & Skopolos many years ago. The owner was a one man show, managing the floor of the whole restaurant on his own. I was transported back to my Greek travels in an instant, with really complimentary flavours and a real passion for what they do.

Great food ! Real vegetarian options at the menu. Greek menu, typical and perfectly executed. Ask for the house warm bread! Just delicious! Good location, spacious, well decorated and also cozy.

One of the most authentic and beautiful Greek restaurants I have ever been to. Visited with my partner after a day of walking in Holyrood Park and the food was just what we needed. We shared 2 starters and a main, and would've got dessert too if we'd had room! Served by a gentleman with a lovely moustache (the owner we presume). Will definitely try to visit again on our next trip to Edinburgh.

What a night out! Do not get mislead by simple/rustic style of the restaurant. The food takes you really to Greece. We were party of 10, so tried most od the things on menu (lamb, greek salad, mousaka, eggplant, prawns in tomato sauce and I think only mousaka was not rated 5/5 as it seemed too greasy). And we were lucky to enjoy some live music

Amazing time with great live music, both singers were brilliant. The food was lovely and the baklava was a standout, (I would recommend sharing one between two). The complimentary shots were a bonus and the cost of the meals are worth it for what you get.

Overpriced food and chaotic service. We really wanted to like this restaurant, but it was sadly a disappointment. The courgette fritters were good, but at £8.70 for 6-7 thin pieces, we didn’t find it to be good value. There was also too much batter so you mostly get batter on each courgette slice. On to the mains, the lemon chicken was ok but the chicken could have been more moist. Moussaka, however, was too oily with barely any aubergine. Potatoes were a bit undercooked, and there was too much beef compared to vegetables. I could barely eat 1/3 of it, and my partner didn’t like it either. For £18.70, we found it overpriced and did not meet our expectations. When we asked for the check, the co-owner saw I barely ate my main, but only inquired once we have paid. Then, she asked when I didn’t like it and said I should’ve told her sooner. I didn’t appreciate this service, as she could’ve asked us before we paid. Service was chaotic, with a few tables missing dishes or dishes arriving late. Air was moist and smelled damp. Would not recommend.

One of the best Greek food we had outside of Greece, at the south of Edinburgh. We were instantly amazed by the starters. The feta kadaifi was made with very refined strands of pastry, filled with feta cheese and topped with sesame and honey, so it brought a great mix of both texture (crispy shredded pastry and soft cheese) and flavour. And the fava with olive oil was pleasantly savoury and nutty, very appetising. For the main courses, we had the lamb shank which was really well-cooked, and the meat was very tender and juicy; the creamy sauce / soup was a subtle and good compliment that didn’t overshadow the taste of the lamb. And then, for a Greek meal, you just can’t go wrong with mousaka, the one we had was simply flavourful. We ended our lunch with the nice baklava and coffees. The staff (probably the owner) was super friendly. He told us there would be live music performances on Sundays that is worth checking out as well.

Found the place by chance and had the best experience in edimburg. Attended by the owner, the service was outstanding and the food was way above out expectations. I will definitely come back again when I return to this city.

Visited here with my partner on Sunday 26th March. What a lovely little place and the food was delicious - the Lemon Chicken was possibly the tasteist dish I've had in a long long time. Would definitely recommend.

We hebben hier enorm genoten van het eten. Top klassiek Griekse gerechten met de meest heerlijke sauzen. Bib gourmand waardig! Het lam met home-made pasta is echt een aanrader!! Ook de gastheer/eigenaar was ontzettend vriendelijk en de ouzo en dessertwijn van het huis een mooie kers op de taart! Wij komen zeker terug als we weer in Edinburgh zijn!

Really nice atmosphere and the music is good(Greek folk music). The food is delicious and good portions but a bit expensive compared to other Greek food restaurants in town.. Overall solid option and nice quality with good wine options.

I had a fantastic time and the food and drinks were of top quality. Even certain restaurants in Greece don't keep their standards so high. The food was delicious, fresh and well cooked. The drinks super great as well. I felt like I was at home. Just excellent!

We have asked for a take-away off the dinner menu, and the moussaka was very tasty! Mind they dont have souvlaki on the menu anymore. I recommend to everyone.
