One One Two in Highland

Your restaurant came highly recommended and the food and wine was absolutely superb. Unfortunately this is where the great experience ended as we have never been made to feel so uncomfortable in a restaurant by the people serving us, to the point that we couldn't wait to pay the bill and leave! We were the first table in the evening at 5pm and were seated right by the bar but we struggled to get eye contact with the staff who were either chatting behind the bar or staring into space. At no point did they ask us if everything was ok or if we wanted another drink. We tried to engage them in some chatter when they served us but to no avail. I don't know if in someway we offended them but we really could not work out what we had done wrong to be treated this way. Unfortunately we will not be returning, which is a shame as the food is excellent. Fortunately our evening was not completely spoiled as a visit to the local community centre in Nairn found us invited to a Ceilidh and a very warm welcome and fun evening.

We were very lucky to get a reservation at short notice and on reflection even luckier to be able to dine here. A really lovely place, so relaxed with absolutely amazing food. Exceptional. Super wine selection at reasonable prices too and very friendly staff to top it all off. A perfect night for us. The best we had on our week away. You deserve all the plaudits, thank you all.

Food is absolutely excellent, seriously good!!! Someone really knows what they're doing here with menu selection and quality - better than some expensive places I've been to in large cities. And to top it off you can select from a range of wines displayed along one of the walls. If the decor was given an upgrade (see Wild Flour in Newtonmore as an example of the possible) I'd come back to Nairn just to visit this place!

If you are looking for a something a wee bit different then try One, One, Two. The ambience and the service we received, coupled with the choice of wine and food in this small family run business Is an experience not to be missed. We were passing through Nairn and booked a table on trip-advisor advice as no 1 restaurant, we were definitely not disappointed.

Outstanding menu and quality food. Paying a wee bit more is well worth it for the experience of visiting here. Very classy in every way, but very comfortable at the same time.Highly recommend this cafe. Give yourself a treat!We will be back ..... for sure!

One One Two has reopened, albeit on reduced days. The number of covers has also been significantly reduced to comply with the current restrictions, so booking is well advised. The wine selection remains outstanding and the bottles very reasonably priced, both for drinking in and for taking away. The food selection (light lunches) was good and catered well for a variety of tastes. Service was, as ever, very friendly and efficient, making it an excellent choice for an informal and relaxed meal. It is predominantly a wine bar (with other options) that does food (at least at lunchtime), rather than a restaurant that offers wines, and the choice reflects this.

We were very well looked after. This bar has a lovely ambiance. Attentive staff, good food. Highly recommended

The atmosphere is buzzing. The service is attentive and pleasant. The wines are reasonably priced, both by the glass and by the bottle. We drank a delicious Chilean merlot for £2O. The small sharing plates are a great way to eat. Just take the staff's advice not to order too many, because the portions are large. There are several vegetarian dishes. A good night out.

Popped in for coffee and cake after walking about town. Lovely decor, free wi-fi, cakes were delicious (a slice of carrot cake and a slice of whisky cake) and coffee good and hot. We browsed the wine and gin selections, both large and interesting. Service with a smile. Highly recommend.

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. The restaurant has a very cozy and relaxed atmosphere. The decor gives it the feel of a European bistro, the huge wall of wines on display and for sale makes a great touch. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Although we are local it was only our first visit, why we left it so long before discovering this little gem of a restaurant I don’t know but we’ll be back a lot more. The food was to an excellent standard, the mussels in particular were outstanding, best I’ve ever had in any restaurant. Great food, great staff and a perfect atmosphere.

We went here while on holiday and it was fantastic. We love our coffee and we were abit concerned about not being able to have any decent coffee while on holiday but we found this lovely coffee shop/wine bar and were very happy. We went every day we were up. On one of the days my husband had a cake which he still talks about now, it was really nice. I think we need another holiday just to see if he can get another slice of the cake.

Cracking gaff, I've missed this place food is always spot on, banter flowing, exceptional wine selection, friendlier staff you will not find. Highly recommended

We were staying in Nairn and decided we wanted something special on our last night. On reviewing the various choices we decided on One One Two and were not disappointed. They had been nominated for an award and it is difficult to believe they did not win it. We were made very welcome. We had a sharing dish of a meze to start and then we both had the Thai Curry, which I don't normally have but it was delicious. I finished off with an afogata. As I was driving I asked not to have the shot of alcohol. I was then pleasantly surprised that they knocked some money off the bill for that. A great night out

We went to 112 for a late lunch and were not disappointed. The owners were very friendly and couldn’t be more obliging The conversation was very inclusive. The food was great and just the right quantity. A great selection of wines at reasonable prices. We look forward to returning for dinner.

Very nice relaxed meal in a friendly atmosphere. A welcome change to many of the local restaurants. The sharing plates are a very welcome alternative to overfilled plates common in other restaurants.

112 exemplifies all that quality but casual dining should be. Excellent food menu allied to a very fine selection of wine at realistic prices. This food and drink combo mixed with relaxed and friendly staff create an experience all too often missing when eating out.

It was nice to be able to select a bottle of wine from the large selection at retail price plus a corking fee. I had the curry and it was very tasty. The restaurant is popular and a reservation is a must. Good service, good food, reasonable price (43 pounds).

Abbiamo mangiato in questo locale durante la nostra permanenza a Nairn. Buona scelta di vino ovviamente, e una cucina davvero ben fatta con ottimi prodotti. Menù ricco e vario a prezzi ottimi. E' possibile prendere tutta una serie di assaggi (antipasti) come fare una cena classica con antipasto e un piatto principale.

This was our first time at 112 and we were amazed we had not discovered it before. Good service, good atmosphere and good food. Loved the fact that you could pop in for meals large or small or just a coffee at any time. Interesting menu too. We will certainly be back and have already recommended it many times.

We were fortunate to snag a reservation at this popular spot during our stay in Nairn. The service was outstanding, as were the food and wine. I had the beer battered cauliflower and the shredded chicken salad, with an almond tart with poached pears and vanilla ice cream for dessert, and a Riesling to drink. I would definitely recommend and hope to make it back to this part of Scotland again so I can make a return visit to this lovely restaurant.

Small but really good menu card - recommend the lamb kofta and also the mussels! Very friendly staff makes you feel at home! Large wine selection where you can find a bottle yourself on the shelves!

Out walking/shopping and popped in here today for latte and fruit scone. Both excellent and priced so reasonably. Will return and will recommend.

One One Two provides a relaxed environment to eat and/ or have a drink out. The food maintains an interesting and diverse take on local produce coupled with a fine range of wines and other drinks. Portion quality and value are excellent and superior to other offerings found, not just in Nairn, but many other locations too.

Fyra vänner som fick en helt fantastisk middagsupplevelse. Get-curry, kycklingsallad och havsabborre - alla rätter mycket goda och vällagade. Och rådgivningen vid mat- och vinval var mycket hjälpsamma och proffsiga!

Mussels were amazing and unlike some restaurants lots of them.Hubby had Hake and he also was very happy with his choice.

Nice enough food, small menu for lunch but nice specials. Staff pleasant and helpful, Seemed to know the customers well and the customers looked happy. Wanted to try this place out and did. It’s a wine bar by night but didn’t quite hit the spot as a bistro during the day. Fixtures and fittings were on the tired side of trendy. Food ok, bit pricey for the size of portion but tasty enough. If “ it’s ok” counts for a review these days then that about sums it up.

Unexpectedly stranded in Nairn on an unseasonably wet early September evening I followed the ratings and pooped in here for food.

Been in here quite a few times. Always friendly service. Really good coffee, food and wine. Great selection of wines and local spirits, especially gin for off sales.

The owners of our B&B; suggested this restaurant, and what a find it was. Four of us ate there on two nights it was so good. None of us was disappointed with any of our meals, and the Goat Massaman Curry was to die for!

Ate in 112 with friends on Saturday night. I'm no spring chicken and I've done my fair share of eating out in restaurants however the meal here ranks with some of the best I've had.

We had a great evening here, met by friendly front of house staff who continued with the attentive service the whole evening. The food was fuss free, very tasty and generous portion control. A comprehensive selection of wines are available at a reasonable price. Venue, staff, food and wine were all on par to come together and offer a lovely evening experience, keep up the good work and good luck for the future.

Luckily the owners of our B&B; recommended this place + made à reservation for us. The dinner was so delicous (we had the goat massaman curry, lamb kefta and steam buns with aubergine) that we W et for scones and cake the day after. As the restaurant is quite small, it did not feel too loud or crowded.

We have been to several restaurants in and around Nairn and can't believe we hadn't tried here before. Immediately as you enter you are welcomed and shown the vast array of wines available for the table or to buy. The menu is simple and clean and food portions are not OTT. We all left comfortably full and agreed it is the best place to eat in Nairn. Staff are great and variety of food and drink excellent - we will definitely return.

We popped in with friends for a cuppa. They had food also which apparently was delicious and good value. My pot of tea was big enough for three cups !. Quite slow but lovely and clean.

The bistro is smart, clean and unpretentious and the food is exceptional. The menu is imaginative and appeals to those who eat healthily and appreciate high quality fresh ingredients. The wine offer is wide and very fairly priced and the service is friendly and efficient. Will definitely return!

Went there with the wife last week, we had lamb starters and mussels, they were both amazing, for a main she had these steamed buns and I had the tastiest crispy sea bass I have ever tasted, staff were very attentive and always made sure you were never without a drink, wine selection and gin section probably second to none in the town, could not fault in any way, Hidden gem in Nairn

This is a wonderful place to stop for a coffee and cake break in really comfortable surroundings. Meals are really good as well with a wide selection of wine and him to choose for. If you're just there for coffe, make sure you try the gingerbread as it's fabulous.

Terrific seafood is the real highlight, but also the best salad greens. And excellent wine list. Add to this, terrific helpful staff . You would not eat here if you require red meat. You can see that the hosts once worked in Australia!

A much treasured oasis for different occasions ranging from a casual drink through to dinner. Great atmosphere, food and drink and friendly staff.

Unfortunately we really enjoyed the steamed mussels until about 4 hours later when the food poisoning began. Ruined our last night in Scotland. The wine selection at this restaurant is probably the best you will find in Northern Scotland. The service was acceptable and the prices were reasonable. Dessert was a merengue with pineapple sauce and ice cream which was good.

Delicious quiche, green salad, and cold potato salad. Very nice wine recommendation. Very good service. Just popped in for a bit and was delightfully surprised. Good service means a lot.

Visited again with family and once again great food - this time we went for a number of dishes to share - all well presented and piping hot - amazing special of crab tom yum soup, cauliflower fritters, smoked haddock croquettes, lamb croquettes, chorizo in red wine, sea bass (main), cracking cheese board and a couple of desserts. Great wines and fab selection to purchase. Must also mention the servers who were cheery, friendly and efficient.

First of all I would like to simply complement the whole team at 112 The Brae. It’s always a delight to find someone who has come to the area with something new to offer. Wow....we now have a super cafe which nailed the venison special I had, great flavour choices, but also we have THE BEST off licence in the Highlands. Thank you so much for bringing some excellent wines to the area and making my visits home a lot easier as I can now skip past you on the way to Grantown and collect a few bottles to ease the evenings...

Superb meal to end a long week of lacklustre dining. Called at the last minute and we were kindly found a table even though they were busy with locals and tourists. Unusual menu as there were no standard/traditional dishes as in most small town restaurants.

We had a loveley evening with friends. Good friendly service very nice wines and nice healthy food. We had a great evening while on holliday in a cottage near Nairn.

Wished we'd gone before now, without doubt the best meal we've had in a very long time, cooked to perfection with the added bonus of great service out front, if you haven't been dont delay and go sample the food and ambience at One One Two!

Thought we would try here for a meal and drinks and food was very good, I had a fish meal although I am not a fish person but this was very nice hubby had the pork which is a bit spicy and that came with noodles although they are cold felt that they should be hot but he still enjoyed it, starters were good the mezze was lovely and hubby had the squid,just wish they would do a chicken dish but will be back the staff are very helpful and friendly xx

One One Two has a fantastic menu offering great quality, seasonal produce. There is a wonderful selection of wines which can be bought to take away or to drink on the premises. The cocktail menu is a definite favourite too! Whether it is popping in for a coffee and croissant during the day or dinner with friends, the service is always excellent! Highly recommended!

The owner of our B&B; recommended the One One Two for dinner. Taking her advice we went for cocktails and dinner. Both of us being originally from the New York City area we are not easily impressed with food and/or service. The staff were both polite and effective. We were so impressed by this restaurant that we went back the next night for dinner. You can have cocktails, wine by the glass or pick a bottle of wine from all over the world off the shelving along one side of the restaurant. We tried different dishes the second night just to see if they had the same quality as our first night's dinner. We were not disappointed. This restaurant would be a success in any city on this earth. We recommend that anyone in the area of Nairn go to the One One Two for a meal or two.

Chilled out atmosphere and very very delicious food. We had a starter, main course and desert. We weren’t sure about the sice of the main meal and the lady serving us recommended to take the small one which was totally fine for my better part. The rump steak is very recommandable, it was delicious!

We popped in for a day time coffee and cake. It has a chic, contemporary feel and is much bigger than it first appears from the outside. Nice drinks and ranges of wines (I'd like to return to sample the reds on an evening). Kids loved the cookies. Loving your work!

Apparently, the best restaurant in the area and is defiantly worth a D-tour if you are in the region. Great service, good selection of wines. Coley with bhaji, sea bass with nduja were both great. They also make very nice cocktails which can be a good start of the evening or a finishing note. Great experience!

We had lunch here having failed to book a table for dinner. Friendly, efficient service. Good selection of wines and beers. We had a smoked salmon and a meat platter. Casual seating (think sofas and comfy chairs) at one end of the restaurant.

We have regularly visited 112 for a coffee or a drink in the late afternoon which usually turns into staying for dinner. The menus are varied, excellent quality and there is always something for everyone, the use of local produce is great and the service is always attentive and personal. They have a wide choice of wine by the bottle (always reasonably priced too) and a great range of Gins. This is just what Nairn needs, somewhere a bit more classy where you can eat and drink comfortably and be reassured that you will not be disappointed. On our last visit we had each of the sweet dishes as we could not choose between them.

Steamed buns followed by fillet of colley, simply excellent food. Service is perfect, chatty happy courteous staff. Modern decor including a wall of world wines.

My son took me here for my 50 th ..been a few times and wow never left once feeling less than 100% satisfied.. menu superb so much work to create such tounge teasingly tasty dishes couldn’t fault anything.. knowledgeable staff can recommend wine to match food so no need to feel shy about the vast wine selection and no pretensions lovely atmosphere thanks for a fab night !

We booked following a recommendation and were so glad we did. Our last night in Nairn before travelling home and we were treated to a truly gourmet meal in a fantastic atmosphere. Smiley staff encouraged us to take a seat wherever we fancied in this beautifully decorated bistro/restaurant; depending on what you order from the menu, it could be either. A stylish place to wine and dine with fantastic gentle background music.

I came with a friend recently and I was lucky enough to have the violet cocktail... I was expecting sweet so when it turned up, it wasn't the case... but was powerful and much much better - the waitress described as parma violets for grown ups. An absolute killer of a cocktail to be honest - so good that I had two more. I've been in with friends before on other occasions and love it here. The service is great but unobtrusive too and the ambience is delightful... you can have a nice coffee and the food that I have had there (mainly small dishes and nibbles) has been great. Looks like an astounding choice for wines and gins. A cool place to go to for sure.

Visited this amazing place while staying in Nairn . Fantastic food, fantastic wine and the most amazing knowledgeable staff . So good we went back for lunch the following afternoon!!! You really must visit if you’re in or around the area!!

After work drinks in one one two have become a bit of a habit. Lovely ambience and wonderful selection of wines and gin. I would also recommend their menu whether if be a light lunch or an evening meal we are never disappointed. An asset to Nairn High Street.

We had dinner here with friends. The food was absolutley the highlight of our trip to Scotland! I could have eaten everything on the menu! The food is fresh, interesting and brilliant! We loved it! They have an amazing wine selection, we were recommenred a wine from a small producer in Italy and it was a perfect match to our food and delicious! They also have a really extnsive selection of local gins. And they stock my favourite fizz, Ruinart! The service was great, efficient, warm and knowledgeable All in all a fabulous little place! A real gem! .

I had the pleasure of dining here recently, a unique wine bar that is on the bottom of Nairn Highstreet. Me and my wife were recommended by the b & b that we were staying in and I am glad with the recommendation. The food was certaininly unique and we were encouraged to try a number of dishes that come out when ready. However the main concept is the wine, there are a great deal of wines and I was spoiled for choice, I ended up having to ask the knowledgable waitress to choose one for me as I was like a kid in a candy store. We will return when we are next in Nairn

This is a must visit! The food and wine is top quality. Their wine choice is different to what you will find in other restaurants and much better quality. However you will need to book.

This was a very pleasant place to have lunch. It is furnished comfortably and staff are very friendly and welcoming. We had cheese and biscuits with tasty cheeses and the quiche. There was a great selection of wine and gin.

We’ve been coming here for as long as it’s been open. It’s a great place for coffee, lunch and dinner, with a huge selection of carefully chosen wines for take out or enjoying at the table. It’s relaxed, helped by warm and helpful service. The menu is simple, uncomplicated but interesting and the food always beautifully prepared with fresh and sometimes unusual ingredients.

I've been here with grandchildren (4-6yrs) for lunch and in the evening as couple(s) - everyone has left with a really positive view and we keep coming back. Probably my 1st/2nd favorite restaurant in Scotland. We are not local (from Warwick) so I'm comparing with a wider base.
