Caora Dhubh Coffee in Highland

Not my favourite latte nor brownie. Latte felt watered down and the brownie didn’t taste very chocolate-y. Makes up for it by the pretty views.

Very good shortbread w cherries! I also enjoyed their plain hot chocolate. Small shop but very cute. Love the view with outside seating.

Perfect specialty coffee espresso bar

On a full day trip to talisker and its distillery this place was a pleasant surprise. We came for breakfast and after lunch for dessert. Coffee was delicious, service quick, efficient and polite. The different cakes, snacks and shortbreads were delicious. Add a wonderful view from the terrace and it's just perfect.

Not sure why this coffee shop is getting such good reviews. I had a double espresso, which I always think gives the best indication of quality. It was over extracted and sour, there are only paper cups, and there is no inside seating. Flapjack was good, and benches outside have a good view, but judged by their coffee, I'm not impressed. Sorry.

Best coffee I’ve had on the island. The mocha I had was perfect. Staff were lovely. I was over the moon to find that staple Scottish dish, often forgotten about; THEE Macaroni Pie. To die for! Also if you buy a bottle form talisker, sit at there wee patio, order a coffee and you can get a lovely photo with the distillery or with the water

I am very disappointed because we, travelers, came from a very long distance to enjoy a specialty coffee at this place on September 22nd, but it was closed even though it shouldn't have been. This fact was not reflected in Google Maps or their Instagram :(. I would recommend improving customer communication to avoid this.

We've been travelling the World for the past 14 months, and this place is one of the best coffee houses we have found, in all of our travels, plus, the staff were extremely obliging. As Aussie's we are a bit fussy with our coffee, but these guys nailed it, thank you.

We came here daily whilst staying in beautiful Carbost....its honestly been the best coffee in Scotland we've had ....sooooo good I just had to buy some beans to take back to Australia. We loved the yoghurt topped flapjacks too. Such nice staff which is not necessary for a bloody good coffee but is absolutely a bonus ! cheers Carbost and CDCC ! ⁰

The kind of unwelcoming Scottish café that we see more and more: the cups are made of cardboard, we drink our coffee outside more or less in the shelter of a lean-to... We feel that it is set up from all rooms for the tourists who are flocking more and more. Sad development in Scotland.

Cute little coffee shop for those not enjoying the Talisker distillery tour. No seating inside which is fine but only 1 picnic bench outside. Coffee & treat were okay. Service was excellent.

Don’t think they had the best coffee on Skye. The young servers can be more personable for better service in my opinion.

Lovely little independent coffee shop, giving nearby Talisker's 'Three Chimneys' some competition. I had a cappuccino and one of their home made yoghurt topped raspberry flapjacks. The cappuccino was smooth and was presented with a loveheart design on top. The cake was moist and very tasty. The service was fantastic with the coffee being serviced with a smile, I however gave the atmosphere 4/5 as I'd have like chairs outside as the sun was out. Top tip though, there is a bench just behind the coffee shop (exit going right and right again) which faced onto the loch, which is a great place to have a little break.

Quite possibly the best coffee on Skye. Set next the the beach with a garden and seating for a nice day. Paid toilets next door. They serve delicious snacks as well as hot and cold drinks and some gift items. Friendly staff and good atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping by!

This coffee shop is the best! Super friendly staff and the most awesome coffee and sweets. They sure no how to make sweets here! I had the millionaires shortbread. Like no other. A perfect little coffee place, with great coffee and sweets.

Always detour to Caora when on Skye - the coffee speaks for itself and usually come away with some amazing art prints as well!

The best coffee on our trip in Scotland! It was a perfect cup of coffee, extra hot, aromatic, right amount of acid, silky good oat milk, strong, good sized coffee.

The staff is really friendly, the filter coffee was quite proper, and the steak pie downright fantastic. This was my favorite establishment on the whole island during our brief stay. Wish I could go back already... and have another piece of pie. :)

Everywhere I travel, I always like to find locally roasted coffee. This place knows exactly how to make good coffee! A small, cute shop that's takeaway only, the beans are roasted up the road. Also offers some homemade cakes. The coffee is top quality and the barista knew how to make a great late! Only wish I could go again!

Such a beautiful place to stop and grab a cup of coffee and some baked goods while driving through the Isle of Skye. We visited in April 2024, very friendly staff, great coffee and the bakery was so good. The bench outside was a great place to enjoy our purchase, bask in the sunshine and really take in this part of Scotland.

Excellent coffee with a good selection of sweet treats. I also saw a pie and sandwich on offer. It was good to find a modern coffee place within the island.

Great coffee, probably the best one I’ve tasted! A proper flat white not this mini latte that you find most places. The cake was tasty and the location a great stop either after Fairy Pools or Talisker Brewery. Just be mindful they have no indoor seating.

I would highly recommend the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate and the Caramel Shortbread at Caora Dhubh Coffee Company in Carbost, Isle of Skye.

I had the Earl Gray tea, black pudding sausage roll and shortbread with cherries. They were delightful!

Stunning views to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee and some pastries. The staff is friendly, dedicated and efficient. There are no table in, but amazing lake views and some picnic tables just around the café. A not-to-miss when in the area.

Fantastic little place. We had a toasted sandwich and bought pies and cake for later. All were delicious and well-made. Although not connected to the coffee place it's worth mentioning that the showers next door were also great.

This was the best cappuccino of our trip. We even got a bag of the coffee to bring home. We also tried a black currant flap jack which was really good, too. For a quick stop if you're in the area, this place is pretty unmatched in terms of coffee quality.

Best coffee on Skye! Roads down to Carbost are not in the best condition, but if you’re over this way for the Fairy Pools, Talisker Bay or the distillery etc well worth a visit

Best coffee on Skye, right opposite the Talisker distillery. Buy some of their house blend to take home with you, you won’t be disappointed! They also make good toasties and incredibly moreish caramel shortbread…

What an unexpected surprise. Stopped here on our way into the distillery for 1 coffee ended up coming out with a hot chocolate, a coffee, 2 toasties, a brownie and a caramel shortbread. I recommend all of them! Definitely will be back! Unfortunately no photos as stuffed my face too quickly

Stopped here before heading to the distillery for a quick hot drink and some food, cappuccino was lovely and the hot chocolate was outstanding. Toasted sandwich was amazing and the brownie was too die for, highly recommend.
