Organised afternoon tea from crown deli and all I can say is FANTASTIC. Everyone was chuffed to bits high quality produce. Bread lovely, sausage rolls amazing. Carrot Cake and Scones gorgeous. A must try and 11/10 best afternoon tea in scotland. 12 pound per person well worth it.

I wasn't disappointed, it was even better than I remembered, huge chunks of steak in a delicious gravy. What was a revelation, having never tried them before, were the salad boxes we got for lunch. My wife had chicken and I had ham, and we were both blown away by how crisp, fresh and tasty they were. Absolutely superb, thanks!

A family member picked me up lunch one day, “have you tried a crown deli salad box?” Well, it was totally not what I had expected! It was the nicest and most varied box with so many different elements and really good quality hot oak smoked salmon. So many different selections of veg, salads, grains, beans, a real treat. There are a good selection of types of salad boxes, salmon, crispy chicken, coronation chicken to name a few I’ve tried, they also have some awesome garlic mayo which was recommended to have alongside the crispy chicken, it’s fantastic. We were also told how nice the homemade sausage rolls are, they are dinky but so tasty. I have also recently tried a mocha in there, it has to be one of the best mochas I have had, it tastes like it’s made with really good quality chocolate. I’m so glad it was recommended to me as I had previously thought it was just like a deli counter, but I think the majority of trade is lunches etc. I have even recommended it onto so many other people it’s so good, it would be rude not to share it!

Probably THE best take away snack/lunch/salad/coffee shop ever. Friendly staff. proper good food. Decent prices. They should open longer though. Well worth the 4 min walk up into crown. The coronation chicken salad box is the best.

I went in to try there salad boxes as they had been recommended by a friend I had the chicken salad and it was superb have had several since best around but price reflects as they say you pay for what you get it’s good food and worth it served by lovely friendly staff

We wanted to try their sausage rolls, which we'd heard were good, but at 2pm arrived much too late as they sell out pretty quick. The roast beef sandwich I had instead was delicious, and so fresh! Our server picked basil from a plant behind the counter to put on my sandwich, wow. Go early!

Having arrived from Canada via Aberdeen the night before, jet lag eased me out of bed at the nearby Corriegarth Hotel at 5.30 AM, so I set out to explore my neighbourhood. What a delightful surprise to find Roddy Morrison hard at work at his Crown Deli, with his door wide open at the crack of dawn. Roddy happily dropped his preparation of the day’s delicacies to make me a very fine latté for just £2.20. After a wee chat about our Scots roots and far away places, Roddy set me on my way for a fascinating early morning walk through a historic part of the old town. Thank you Roddy. Can’t wait to visit again for a full meal of your delicious looking catering!

We were recently in Inverness and found this hidden gem. Went for lunch one day and it was so good we went back the next. Great staff, selection of sandwiches and salad. The soup is also very good.

They sell what I am looking for: olives, local eggs, Norwegian cheese the cheapest in Inverness or Beauly. For a cheaper salad box than anywhere else with lovely fresh ingredients, go to Crown. The owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming.

Crown Deli is the best sandwich shop in whole Inverness! Everything is fresh and hand made (they start work really early to proper everything!) There is quite choice in there :sandwiches, salads, cakes etc. The owner and staff are truly amazing.

The food is always good at Crown Deli! From the delicious sandwiches to the thick home made soups and tray bakes. Try the crunchy garlic chicken sandwiches mmm or the malteser cake, just delicious.

Crown Deli makes regular deliveries to various businesses around Inverness, including the vet I take my pets to, as well as catering for a number of events. Their sandwiches are made with freshly baked bread, and the filling combinations are creative and very, very tasty - who would've thought tuna and sweet chilly sauce would be such an inspired combination? The ingredients they use are top quality, which is something that applies to pretty much everything they sell at the shop, from bottled drinks to bags of crisps. Their quiches are amazing, as are their salad boxes, which come with creamy cole slaw, borettane pickled onions and mini sweet peppers filled with cream cheese, so it's a box of treats. And they will pack everything so you can take it to a picnic. Prices are reasonable, and he treatment you get from them is also great - Roddy and Kat are very friendly and accommodating, and Gordon, who delivers the orders most days, is such a sweetheart. Nothing is too much hassle for them, and that's why I keep going back (or getting them to come to me) almost on a daily basis.
