This tiny cafe has it sorted! Interesting food cooked well - I think they have a new menu as well. Great atmosphere and coffee. Yes, previous reviewers are right, you need to have a bacon and peanut butter sandwich at least once in your life, and Cafe 1925 is a good place to give it a go! As others said prices are reasonable especially given the quality of the food.

Super nice little cafe in a tiny little hut. Great food. Only my Nan would give the same amount of cream for one scone. It’s like visiting your grandma, only that you have to pay in the end, instead of getting a tenner 😂 price is fair though

We stopped here for a late lunch and had really tasty salads, followed by great coffee and pastries. I had hummus and olive, which came piled onto really good sourdough bread with salad leaves and a chick pea, feta and herb salad too. The coffee was from local roasters, and our black coffee (described as long black/americano) was served in a small cup, one part espresso to 2 parts water, exactly as we like it. It’s a tiny place, and the selection isn’t huge, but the food is great and the staff are lovely so it’s a real gem of a place.

A cafe is a cafe right? Wrong! The old tin shed used to be the Ardvasar post office, it's now a wonderful welcoming meeting place with great food and a great atmosphere that is really special. Why? In a word quality: authentic Locally sourced produce, beautifully presented to create restaurant quality but in a real, intimate place. Great coffee from a hand pulled expression machine. The wonderful proprietor, ably assisted by her young helper, somehow managed to rustle up a delicious lunch, catering to our vegan & gluten free group. Food was nice and service was, for the most part, friendly. One server seemed to be having a bad day. Brusque and barely civil. Very expensive for what was served.

Agree with the other reviews. This is an unlikely place to find at the end of the world. We felt welcomed and in the main enjoyed our stay. The only downside was the cost for the 2 of us. £200 for a snack, breakfast, plate of curry and a bunkhouse bed with no shower and a outside toilet seemed breathtaking expensive. To put this into perspective, we go to a nice hotel each year for a winter break, that's more than we pay per day at the hotel with vastly more civilized amenities. I do understand there are logistics involved at Cape wrath. However for an 'ordinary' local Scottish person I'd be looking to stay at sandwood bay and make a lunch trip to the cafe as I simply can't justify the cost/value. However, it is altogether improbably situated and a must experience if you are doing a long walk. Just be prepae your expectations.
