What an amazing diamond is this place! Discrete et almost hidden just before the renowned Leakeay’s bookshop, they offer a stunning wine and spirits list coming from all around the world, the whole accompanied by a well garnished cheese platter. The personnel is friendly and welcoming, truly “scottishly”. Highly recommended!

It's a real wine bar, ideal for an aperitif on the other hand, the waiter said it himself, he only knows the wines well. The bottled beer is served directly (I had to ask for the bottle again to see it)

Great service and gorgeous Portuguese wine on Saturday night, really good olives and the smoked almonds are far too moreish. Back in on Sunday for a couple of large Pinotage and more almonds. Wonderful atmosphere and staff, Rob the owner is very friendly love the descriptions in the wine bible!

My favourite place. It’s so cozy. The owner is so friendly and makes us always want to come back. My partner doesn’t drink wine and is catered for just as much with his endless choices of whiskey as well. Small kind of wine bar that serves cheese platters and scotch eggs. Seating is shared so we were on the same table as another couple and it was only the four of us in the place. Cheese platter was delicious and served with sour dough bread. 2 drinks, a sharing platter with a scotch egg was £47.

Wonderful little wine bar in Inverness. Very cozy, great wine, and friendly staff. Highly recommend making it to the annual "Wine Game" if you can - it was a blast! Can't wait to visit again in the future.

I've lived in Inverness most of my life but somehow never heard of this place! However, it's lovely. Staff were very friendly and excited when asked for recommendations. Excellect and massive wine list, something for everyone! Very small, so do book ahead! Overall, it was a great experience and will be back. Definitely recommend.

Hugely disappointed to see that this place has joined the queue in prioritising profit over people. Used to be a favourite spot with evident care in attention to detail. Lovely friendly staff member appears to have left and with him the hallmark quality we’d come to expect. Recent visits have seen micro portions of cheese, hunks of dry bread thrown haphazardly, no more serving of butter, chutney, gherkins, oil and vinegar. No more description of the cheese. Frankly £60+ for a pile of dry bread, salami and small morsels of cheese with a glass of wine is pretty scandalous. Fitting in perfectly with rip off little britain. Don’t waste your money.

We popped in whilst wandering round the town. It looked interesting and unlike most places dog friendly. We chose some wine to try..... Great selection one of which was so good we bought a bottle to takeaway. We shared a platter of local smoked meats delicious and great portion size...The smoked goose was incredible. Great little place.. Empty when we were there but I imagine great ambiance when a little busier. We will definitely visit again next time we are passing... In fact it's worth a detour.

The wine list is one of the most comprehensive I’ve seen, with commentary and taste notes. The food was also lovely, and the bread some of the best in the city.

Dette er en liten vinbar i Inverness. Vi var i byen i 4 dager og besøke stedet to ganger! Første dagen fikk vi sitte ute i deilig sol. Hadde sharing platter med ost og kjøtt. Andre gangen satt vi inne da det regnet og hadde wine flight og sharing platter med røkt kjøtt og ost. Deilig mat og fantastisk god vin! Hyggelig betjening som hjelper deg å finne vin som passer til din gane og til maten du bestiller. Absolutt verdt et (eller flere) besøk!

Dropped in here the other day, the range, quality and diversity of the wine is amazing you are spoilt for the choice. The platters were delicious and the team incredibly friendly and knowledgable. Definitely a place to pop into for any wine lover.

Fantastic collection of delicious, ecellent wine (red, white, rosé, prosecco, champaign, etc). A little bit one the more exclusive side, however, perfect for special occasions. They also provide a nice selection of food (fingerfood, sides) that go well with the drinks. In summer, sitting outside is preferrable since indoors it can get quite warm.

Sehr freundlich, super Auswahl an Getränken (speziell Wein, aber auch Bier und Spirituosen). Wir hatten auch noch eine kleine Platte mit Leckereien. Alles super!

One of the best wine spots in Scotland and a fabulous little oasis in the heart of Inverness. The wine list is outstanding , these folks have a passion for wine & cheeses and it shows! A top recommendation for all my guests that visit this Highland Capital!

Wine and cheese so nice, I went twice. They have a great wine list (and other drinks) and a good selection for flights. Even if you know nothing about wine like me, they well help you find something you like. Their bread and cheese are also great. They have some other food items that looked good (scotch egg and smoked countryside platter) but they didn't have any when I went, so be sure to keep in mind that some of their items run out, and that they don't always have room for walk-ins; it is a smaller place. The one downside is that if you're off in a corner table, you do seem to be forgotten a bit. There were times when I wanted to order another glass of wine, but no one was around for like, 20 or 30 minutes.

A must visit while in Inverness! They have a beautiful and expansive wine selection as well as whiskey and beer for the non wine drinkers. The charcuterie boards are amazing. We got a single cheese and a single meat and was able to split it between 4 people. The place is small but so cozy. It was the perfect spot to relax and get away from the more crowded restaurants.

Cosy little wine place in old Town Inverness. Wide selection of wines, great plates to share. We especially enjoyed the local cheese platter. The service was also super pleasant, much recommended.

Amazing hidden gem in Inverness, with a very rich catalogue of wines and a very friendly staff. Really nice atmosphere as well, a must go if you're in Inverness. Also had the meat and cheese platter and were very satisfied.

Loved, love, love this place! A friend in Tasmania recommended it and I can't believe we didn't find it before. The meat platter is amazing, the cheese platter is superb and the options for drinks is the most amazing one I've ever seen. And customer service was simply The Best! This place has become a must, for when we visit Inverness again.

I visited with my wife on our honeymoon at the end of March and it was fantastic. A welcoming atmosphere with a knowledgeable and friendly owner who was incredibly helpful and very down to earth. The wines were also incredible! The perfect start to our NC 500. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone visiting Inverness.

Excellent wine and platters! They offer a wide range of wine, from white to red, countries to countries. Easy to find your favorite match to the platter. The staff are very nice and give good recommendations. We learnt a bit about the ham and cheese. The location is lovely, set in the middle of Church Street, enjoyed the sunset a lot while chilling outside. A little bit pricey but overall a good experience. If you’re looking for a light snack or wine in a late afternoon, it is certainly the place. Would love to try their wine tasting flight (6 types of wines at once).

They offer a broad variety of different wines - the waiter suggested a really good one (dry red wine) to us which suited the food just perfectly. Food - next important point. I had the vegan cheese platter and it was simply delicious, best vegan cheese I ever had, I guess. The "normal" cheese platter was really good as well and they also offer a meat option The atmosphere was really nice, the service super friendly. Definitely a must go!

Stopped by here looking for a simple dinner on a Monday, and it did not disappoint! We got cheese and charcuterie to share, along with some bread and oil. It was all delicious, and included some local items, which was awesome! And the wines we got were also wonderful, and their list has a wide selection that can please most tastes.

Very helpful, my wife was in a wheelchair and the owner organised the tables to accommodate us. We had a mixed platter between 4 of us and the wine tasting experience as well unfortunately I was the driver so non alcohol drink for me which was fine.

We got a vegan sharing platter for two and a range of drinks and were thoroughly impressed! Three different types of cheeses and delicious sourdough bread! We sat outside on a Thursday lunchtime and had the place to ourselves! We would highly recommend this place, especially for a date!

Ècht een aanrader voor de borrel. In een rustige steeg dit sfeervolle lokaal. Je kunt ook op de 1e verdieping zitten. En als het lekker weer is buiten. Overzichtelijke keuzes van lekkere wijnen. Met een borrelplank. Vlees of kaas of beiden. Naast wijn ook Port, Sherry of een lekkere Kir. Eigenaar stond in de zaak, en was erg benaderbaar voor een goed verhaal over de keuzes op de kaart. Als je van tevoren weet dat je gaat borrelen, is reserveren aangeraden.

Very cozy place with amazing drinks. We had two flights trying six different wines and every single one was delicious. The cheese platter was also fantastic.

We stumbled upon this place on our arrival and came here two days in a row - we loved it! Delicious drinks (not only wine but also the lemonades). I would also recommend the platters. Delicious cheese and meat! On top of that the staff ist very friendly and competent. If I lived here I would definitely be a regular. I highly recommend this place!

Walked past this on our first day in the city and what a lovely find! Absolutely loved the delicious meat charcuterie and all the wines we tasted by the glass. We drank nearly every red on the list and loved each of them. The hosts were gracious and very warm and it's obvious they love what they do! Can't wait to go back to Inverness, perhaps just for this.

Lovely little wine bar offering a good range of fairly priced wines (local beers and spirits too). The locally sourced cheese and meat platters are very tasty and filling. Service was excellent and already booked to get back. No televisions and the music reflects the bar, so perfect if you are looking for something different.

Lovely little hole in the wall type-of-place with a very cozy feel to it. They specialise in selected wines, but do also have some great bottles beers, which was what I got. Vegan cheese platter was a nice surprise, 3 types of artisan cheeses with a selection of crackers and breads.

I love this little bar! The kind owners let us in late at night for last orders after a long difficult journey from the outer Hebrides. The wine was delicious and so were the sharing plates. The charcuterie was especially tasty. The atmosphere is pleasingly convivial. If I lived in Inverness I'd be a regular.

On a 2 night rail trip we stayed in Inverness. On the Sunday evening we were just taking a walk round when we came across this place. We are not normally wine bar people but something drew us in, and we spent and hour and a half in a lovely cosy bar with knowledgeable and friendly owners. The Cheese platter was lovely. we can definitely reccommend this place. we even bought a bottle of wine to enjoy now we are back home. Reading their front page, i can imagine that the booking advice is important to guarantee a seat. It is not the biggest wine bar we have visited but it really deserves to do well.
