Has such a good meal here. We were looking for something in the area that had something other than the standard pub fare. I was a bit surprised when we pulled in and it was just a little spot attached to a small golf club house. Nothing fancy at all. But what it lacks in ambiance it makes up for with the food. My wife and I had the shepherds pie and it was so good. We would definitely go back if we are in the area again !

Good food and wonderful service, especially regarding the whisky. She had a great recommendation based on my preferences. The location itself was nothing special, a golf club building.

Wow. The steak burger is something else. By far the best burger I have had. As others have started you think you have driven to the wrong place. But the staff and food is next level.

My family and I went for dinner last night and we weren’t disappointed (apart from they’d sold out of the chocolate brownie) The outside does look like it’s seen better days but the food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. I’d recommend booking a table as it’s relatively small and was full when we visited. What really stood out for me though was the kindness of the chef who, although the kitchen was busy, offered to cook takeout burgers for a family. What an amazing thing to do

Came across this gem of a restaurant. Don’t miss out on the incredible cuisine, beautifully presented, with the taste being out of this world. We had chosen this restaurant due to the good reviews. Don’t be deceived by the outdated decor. Upon arrival greeted very warmly and we could choose any table. The menu wasn’t extensive but covered all the bases. I made a request to have the haggis spring rolls as a mains with hand cut chip which wasn’t a problem at all to the chef. Husband and daughter had the burger, bacon, cheese bun with hand cut chips. Oh my gosh, the dishes arrived quickly, hot, beautifully presented and the taste was seriously delicious. I completely forgot to take a photo. Such a genius way of presenting haggis as a spring roll, which I’m definitely going to try at home. 👏 The three of us then had sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. Yummerlishous! Once again don’t be put off by the decor. This is 5⭐️ quality that will not disappoint. Locally sourced, cooked from scratch food with super service! Bravo to the chef and front of house staff. These two could make an absolute killing in a little boutique restaurant. Book in advance as walk-in customers were being turned away whilst we were there. Enjoy 😊

The menu here is an object lesson in what a difference a chef's passion and creativity can make. The simple, bistro-style food was fresh, locally sourced or home-made and on our table piping hot lickety-split. Service was effortlessly friendly and efficient. Avoid the Fort William High Street scrum and head here for fun, fresh scran!

Not the most obvious place to eat in Fort William, but you absolutely should go. The starters of Haggis spring rolls and king prawn tostadas were excellent, but the mains were even better - the Shepherds pie, fillet of salmon, and pan seared pork were unbelievably good. Very easy to drive past as it's in the golf club clubhouse, but you definitely shouldn't. Lots of space and friendly service - ideal when the Fort is packed in the summer season.

The Shepard's pie was very tasty with lamb shoulder meat and mustard mashed potatoes. The roast beef was also great! Staff was very friendly and welcoming.

We had dinner twice in this restaurant adjoining the golf course. We were very pleasantly surprised, the waitress was adorable and very friendly, always attentive. The dishes were of remarkable quality and well worth their price which was also very reasonable! The service was not long. In short, a great experience. We regret leaving the area because we would have happily returned to this address!

Nine of us turned up on a Wednesday night in July having walked over from campsite. First impressions were so-so. They did have a table ready for us, though, and the lady at the bar assured me we wouldn't be disappointed with the food. They make a bone marrow infused steak burger that eight of us ended up ordering and enjoying very much. It was a great evening and I'm only sorry I didn't get to try the shepherds pie.

Best meal in Scotland while we were here. They are cooking up some amazing food at this little gem. If you’re hungry, we highly recommend this place! We were here on a Sunday evening and were delighted by their beef roast special with all the fixings. Amazing food!

We read the reviews and wanted to try it ourselves since it was advertised as Dog Friendly. We pulled in at 12:30 Wednesday and asked for a table for two and we had our dog with us. Man behind the counter said the kitchen was closed until 2 pm. We came back at 2:30 to find the kitchen closed. A different man told us they were no longer serving, but we mentioned being given information to come back at 2. We left fairly confused and frustrated, and quite hungry. Undetered, the next day we tried again. We got there just after noon and asked for a table for two (with our dog), the first man from the day prior said the kitchen was closed. I asked until when, to which he replied about 2, when I responded they closed at 2. He said he could call the cook and find out precisely, and came back to say the cook would return at 1pm. We sat and waited. Oddly enough, at 12:50, while we waited another couple came in and asked for lunch, only to be told the kitchen was closed. We were very tempted to tell the couple to sit and wait, but didn't. By 1 pm the cook had returned, stating he had a catering order for a funeral and had just returned. We ordered the much anticipated King Prawn Tostada to share as a starter, my wife ordered the Salmon and I got the rib eye medium rare with peppercorn sauce. There was one other table being used, but it looked like friends of the restaurant doing interviews. So, we got our starter rather quickly and devoured it, delicious! The meals arrived shortly after and again, both delicious. Definitely recommend this restaurant and be prepared to have follow-up questions if the kitchen is closed.

If you want to experience homemade, comfort, Scottish food, then this is the place! The stuff is so lovely and the food is AMAZING. Everything was great but the shepherds pie stood out.

Unassuming, friendly and relaxed. Love the simplicity and the food is excellent. Service was brilliant. The decor isn't exciting but if you are holidaying in the area you don't need much more and saves a trip into Fort William.

We stopped in on our way to Inverness and are so glad we didn't pass it by. They had roast on special for Sunday, which we both had and it was delicious! The servers were lovely and welcoming as well. The rest of the menu looked very appealing too!

As others have said, a real hidden gem! When we entered the restaurant it was empty, but the food was delicious, including for those of us who couldn't have dairy - and all dairy / gluten free options were clearly marked on the menu. We had the salmon and beetroot risotto, the shepherds pie and the hake and can highly recommend all three.

We both had the haggis spring rolls which are well documented online as venue must have, I had the shepards pie (photo not accurate as I tucked in as I was overthrown by hunger when it was placedbefore me so it's got a few bites taken from it!) the pie was the best l've had, Almost pulled lamb with minted veg, the chef must have a higher calling! My partner had the buttermilk chicken burger, all fresh ingredients and the chips were beyond top tier! Well worth a go if you're in the area!

Personally, we would love to give the rating the restaurant at 6 stars but it capped just that 5 maximum. !!!! This restaurant came up with the google searching. All menus were fabulous tasty!!!!! We ordered, pork, chicken, hake, and burger both steak and chicken. Exceptional taste that we could find in the UK… Oh…actually it was here in Scotland!!! …Gorgeous yummy food really…. And the service was so friendly and impressive. If you pass by, don’t miss it…

Loved it!!! Very interesting menu. The Shepard's Pie was divine being made with lamb shank and creamy/cheesy mashed potatoes. The Cajun Spice Shrimp tostada was creative and delicious. Thumbs up from a Californian and Arizonan. The sweet potato gnocchi with pesto also a winner. The wait staff was fun and informative. Wished we had another night to go back to try the haggis spring rolls.

We were having trouble finding a Fort William restaurant on a Sunday night that we would not have to wait until 9 pm. Caddy Shack came up and it was nearby. So grateful it popped up. The food was delicious, creative and thoughtful. The new Cajun shrimp tostada was perfection as was the sweet potato gnocchi with pesto. The shepard's pie was perhaps the best I have ever had. Made with lamb shank that melted in your mouth and creamy, cheesy mashed potato it met every expectation. The service personnel were welcoming and great fun. Wish we were here another night so we could eat there again.

We enjoyed our meal at the Caddy Shack. Our waitress was especially kind and helpful. The food was good. We especially liked the soup. We had the soup and sandwich meal. Mine was a tuna melt and my husband had the BLT.

Was empty. Stake burger was probably defrosted and cooked to much. Does not look or taste as meat hamburger, reminds me more the loaf meat in the army. The soup was good. Luckily they had good beer Big disappointment for me. Not sure how they got 4.7 score. The high score goes only to the distance from our B&B. You may think on a way to improve our experience here. We stay two more nights here 🙏

Some of THE best food in fort william. I have been a few times now and each time I have been met with consistency in both the service and the food. Great food and even better prices.

The appearance of this restaurant belies the quality of the food. We were an adult party of 6. Between us we had several different starters, mains and desserts. All were good and polished off. Good food with imagination. Surroundings a bit soul-less and not much atmosphere but we had good company and the service was friendly and efficient so a good evening was enjoyed by all.

Even if you're not a golfer, this place is run by the most amazing staff. Fancy some genuine craik and some very nice beer on tap. (I recommend the mango IPA). Don't miss this on your way in 🫶

We could not find any places to eat in town, so we decided to eat at this place. Really good food for reasonable prices (we had steak and burger). Don’t let yourself fool by the shabby look and the low number of people sitting inside! The staff is extra nice and was a highlite of our dinner.

Been travelling for a few hours heading to Glenfinnan Viaduct, looking for a place to eat. Lovely personnel, our large breed dog was more than welcome inside which was amazing! Food was delicious (roast beef for the boys, soup of the day and sandwiches for the ladies) and at good price! Don’t let the outside appearance fool you, it’s a great place for a quick stop to eat something good and continue your journey with a full belly :)

Don't judge a book by its cover- this little diner was absolutely fantastic with excellent food and great service! The chips are top notch, the side salads are far better than average, and we enjoyed our entrees as well. Definitely worth stopping if you're looking for a quick, excellent meal.

Mein trockener Burger bestand aus einem Burgerbrötchen und einem frittiertem Hähnchenstück - ohne anständige Burgersauce, ohne Zwiebeln oder sonst irgendetwas, nur trockenes Brötchen und Hähnchen. Käse etc. muss man gegen Aufpreis dazu bestellen. Homemade Essen - scheinbar Fehlanzeige. Auch das Ambiente des Restaurants ist nicht gerade einladend. Schade, ich hatte mir nach den ganzen positiven Bewertungen mehr erhofft.

Stopped by here on the way to a wedding - got the shepherd’s pie (twice) and a dessert - absolutely best food we’d had in Scotland. The service was the best, they went above and beyond. Not to mention the people were lovely. Can’t recommend high enough. Don’t drive past this place without stopping in.

The small number of reviews, ordinary spartan furnishings, and very few customers when walking in for dinner had us worried. However the friendly, attentive staff and great food easily made up for the surroundings. Definitely recommend.

We can't say enough good words about this place. Leanne our waitress was beyond wonderful and educated us on Scotland and all the special things here. The food was beyond excellent and prices were definitely not offensive in any way. We are so glad we stopped here on our travels.

This is a great place to visit to avoid all the busy Fort William crowds. Great service, midges weren't too bad when we visited and the food was fine. Maybe invest in some planting to obscure the road and the works yard a bit.

Part of the Golf Club, the Caddy Shack is just outside Fort William along the A82. We were on our way back to our BnB (Treetops - the perfect stay!) after a day’s walking around Creag Meagaidh and decided to stop at The Caddy Shack as it was on the way home. What a find - we were made very welcome by the friendly staff. The service was great and the special of the day was the perfect meal after a hot day of walking. Very highly recommended.

This was the first time we have tried the caddy shack, just fabulous!! From Lauren on front of house to the very very tasty food! Very enjoyable! The restaurant is light áñd airy, lovely deck outside. The menu is small but what they do they do well! We run a b and b and we will def be recommending this little gem to our guests. Keep it coming guys! You are doing a great job!!!!

We had a beyond an a normal Burger both was really good. But the Sticky Toffy Pudding was just delicious! Service was rally nice - I was not shure about what beer to take - so I got a tasting! Absolutely wonderful!

The food was amazing here. We had the salmon with pea risotto, chicken breast on corn and chorizo succotash and red pepper coulis and finished with sticky toffee pudding. We expected decent food based on the menu description but we're extremely impressed with the quality of food presented to us. The service was very good as well. Definitely recommend this place.

We were making an overnight stop north of Fort William and did not want to go into the town after a very long drive. The Caddy Shack as a short distance away so we decided to try it. As its name suggests, it is the golf club's restaurant with a utilitarian design. Don't let that deter you; the service and food were really very good. We had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and meal.
