We headed here for a coffee and a bite to eat. Nice atmosphere and really friendly service. Prices are normal and the coffee was lovely. The cinnamon swirl was incredible and the best we have ever tasted! The pain au raisin was ok but a bit too sweet/sickly so I wouldn’t recommend that.

Popped in for breakfast based on the good reviews. I had a coffee and a croissant with bacon and scrambled eggs, I was quite surprised when it arrived as the portion was tiny, it was literally a croissant with two rashers of bacon and a spoonful of scrambled eggs and it cost £12!!! My partner had a bacon toastie with cheese but asked for the cheese to be removed (just wanted a bacon sandwich basically) it arrived as two rashers between two unbuttered slices of sourdough! Incredibly dry. Outrageous prices for average food. Good coffee though.

Had a lovely hot chocolate here today, (not too rich, not too sweet) along with a gorgeous sticky toffee cinnamon roll, served warm which was just divine. Polite, staff member took our order at the till and brought our order to the table. Whilst we didn't have anything from the breakfast menu, we could see various dishes being ferried to other tables that looked delicious. Highly recommended.

What a great place. The menu has a great selection. Rice bowls are wonderful as is the dolce de Leche (excuse spelling please). The coffee is the best in town and the service is great. The shared table policy encourages people to chat wIth others and make new friends, whilst there is also the option to sit alone. Cannot recommend highly enough.

As an american living abroad, I'm shocked to have had such a delicious Mexican meal. It's rare to even find Mexican food, and when you do, it's not that good usually. The chorizo egg sourdough dish I ordered was amazing. Ive had tons of homemade authenic mexican food and this dish exceeded those high standards. Bonus: they sell tajin here. Ontop of that, the pastries and coffee are to die for. It's shocking to have such different foods all exceed expectations as they have. Along with their incredible menu, the environment is clean, beautiful and inclusive with strong connections to the community. This place is amazing and I cannot reccomend it enough for both tourists as well as locals.

Take away lemoncello croissant. For the price paid, it was very disappointing unfortunately. Not very lemony at all. Bland. Can't comment about the cafe as I only consumed a takeaway item. Very over priced. £4.20 approx! Wouldn't recommend, had better filled croissants elsewhere much cheaper. Service was very good though, staff helpful with my child. This business does support local artists and creators to their commendation.

One of the only coffee spots open early on a Sunday so I was going to go here regardless! But it was phenomenal. I over-ordered a latte, a brioche with super soft scrambled eggs, bacon, and syrup poured over (Scottish McGriddle!??), and a coffee walnut twist for the road (which was SO GOOD after my hikes for the day). Almost went back for another coffee walnut twist. Seating is basic but pleasant and it was a busy spot

Our recent visit to Xoko Bakery in Inverness left us with a mix of delight and consideration. Delectable Focaccia Sandwiches: The late lunch of focaccia sandwiches with tomato and mozzarella was undoubtedly a highlight. Served warm, the sandwiches were bursting with flavor and left us thoroughly satisfied. Quality Coffee: The coffee was a true delight, complementing our meal perfectly. It was evident that attention was paid to crafting a good cup of joe. Considerable Pricing: While the food was undoubtedly delicious, the price point gave us pause. At £9 per focaccia sandwich, it felt a bit on the expensive side. This consideration may be a factor for future visits. Overall Experience: Despite the higher pricing, the quality of the food and beverages certainly made for a pleasant dining experience. The warm and tasty sandwiches paired with the quality coffee created a memorable meal. Final Thoughts on the Bill: The total bill for four people, including four coffees and two sandwiches, amounted to around £32. While we acknowledge the quality of the fare, it's worth noting that this might be a consideration for those on a budget. In summary, Xoko Bakery in Inverness offers a delectable culinary experience, particularly in the realm of focaccia sandwiches and coffee. However, potential patrons should be mindful of the pricing when planning their visit. For those seeking a tasty indulgence, Xoko Bakery certainly delivers.

If you enjoy being barked at, come here!! Unfortunately, there is a lack in customer service. My husband and I were told we had to leave after ordering (and tipping) on a to-go order. We were not able to sit and enjoy our croissants and coffees, as to-go orders must be eaten outside the premises. From a business perspective, they could have been kinder and made an exception(while explaining their policy), as the cafe was relatively empty. The kitchen staff practically barked at us to leave, and we left feeling extremely disrespected. A shame that their manners don’t meet the food quality. No one wants to experience that on vacation.

One of my favourite places for lunch or a coffee and pastry. Usually always go for the cinnamon bun as they are to die for, and this time they had toffee and apple ones which were even better which I didn’t know was possible! Mainly wanted to write this review to firstly shout out the staff in general who cope incredibly well with how busy it always is, but to also shout out specifically the member of staff who’s name I didn’t get unfortunately, but who switched to fluent German for the couple behind us. I don’t know her reason for knowing German but I think it should be more common place in Inverness and other tourist filled areas to learn the basics of other languages and so many are forced to learn English and accommodate us when we visit their countries.

Make sure you read all of their signs and know all of their unusual rules before ordering. To-go cups are never allowed to touch any of their tables, even if you’re eating there. We were still finishing breakfast (which took a long time to be served) and asked to transfer our coffee to a to-go cup so we’d be able to leave quickly after we finished eating. As soon as we did, they insisted that we leave immediately even though we had only been there 15 minutes, we hadn’t finished our food, and there were plenty of available tables. So we were forced to choose between throwing our coffee away or abandoning our food. It was so unpleasant and unwelcoming that we did both. We’ve been to plenty of coffee shops. We’ve never experienced anything like this before and wanted to warn others.
