This is a special find in Inverness. The pastries are so good it’s like a wee spiritual experience- genuinely haven’t tasted pastries so good Ever- , and fab coffee. The staff are gorgeous and it’s somewhere you will want to return to. I will be.

Amazing coffee and breakfast! Everything tasted delicious - really high quality ingredients with fab presentation. Oat milk latte was perfect. I was so tempted by all the pastries but managed to resist.

We came to it because it was almost the only one in the area that opened early and what a success. Quality food (not cheap but worth it) and both the coffee and tea were delicious. We ordered avocado toast with garlic pesto and smoked salmon toast. Abundant quantity, so don't go upstairs asking because since the bread is sourdough, you'll be quite full. Some of the waiters are Spanish speakers and the girl who served me also spoke some Spanish since she asked me where I was from when she heard me speak Spanish. In general, in Scotland people are friendly but here they are also very kind and helpful, they give the impression of loving their job because of the smile they offer at all times. I also loved the decoration. I wish I could repeat!

We took our breakfast there (croissants, coffee and chai) and it was delicious. The filled croissants are freshly prepared and a delight. The service is also very friendly and attentive. It would be too loud for me to eat there. But to take away, perfect!

The products are excellent, we had a sandwich and a bananabread, both very good. A good place to relax and have something to eat!

Discovered our first morning in Inverness. Warm, cozy, friendly, and delicious. I fixed and the rhubarb and cream croissant while my wife mixed it up with an almond croissant one day and a coconut croissant the next. Loved it!

XOKO is an absolute gem, every time I’ve been there the selection has changed, but don’t let that put you off, everything is of an exceptional standard. The owners are lovely as are all of the staff, the ambience is absolutely on point, great service and the prices are reasonable for what you are getting, definitely worth a visit!

In Inverness, it is practically impossible to find places to have breakfast that are open on Sundays before 10am. We Italians are not used to this. Xoko bakehouse was open; so, we went in and it was a nice discovery. A good offer of sweets and bakery and cafe. Advised.

I asked the Xoco team to take on the responsibility for choosing a selection of pastries for me to take to my sisters birthday party in Edinburgh and they not only saved my last-minuteness from being an issue, but genuinely made me the hero of the party. I’ll admit that for the first ten minutes of someone asking where the croissants came from, I pretended that I’d been slaving away over them all weekend at my home kitchen. But most people saw through it so I told them about Xoco and that made more sense to everyone involved. But literally everyone loved every one of what I’d brought. I gained massive party-points, the beautiful pastries made up for my pitiful attempt at buying a present (genuinely socks…) and the whole evening revolved around the pastries so small talk was way easier than usual! Incredible, thank you so much Xoco team!

Locale carino, personale gentile e veloce. Ampia scelta per colazione dolce e salata, con pane fragrante o viennoiserie dalle dimensioni generose. Io ho preso un pain aux raisins, buono e ben sfogliato, ma la quantità di glassa allo zucchero era eccessiva. Comprendo la necessità rendere lucido il prodotto, ma non a discapito del sapore. Il caffè espresso accettabile per un italiano.

Lovely welcoming staff, superb food, great coffee, good vibe, this place is must visit. People beat a path to their door so expect it to be very busy at all times, we'll worth any wait though.

The good was awful. We had asked for more details from a staff member before ordering, but the description was inaccurate. Coffee was burnt. Won’t return.

Wonderful busy cafe with delicious pastries and good coffee. Sourdough bread was lovely and the breakfasts tasted and looked great as well. Clearly a hub of the community as it was busy both times we visited.

We got a cappuccino and a cinnamon roll each. The coffee was great and the cinnamon roll was to die for. They also sold bread which I'm looking forward to trying. Lovely staff and atmosphere on top. Will definitely come back if I visit Scotland again.

Great place for coffee, lunch and pastries. My friend and I had the peri peri grilled cheese and the Vietnamese pork, both were delicious. Had the cinnamon bun on another occasion which was super tasty as well. The only thing that could be improved are the flavoured hot chocolate (like coconut and orange), it was delicious but we had to concentrate to taste some of the coconut/orange. Already great, could be better!

Very expensive: £10 for two coffees and a croissant. Not happy with that, they ask you for a tip. The coffee is very strong and excessively hot. Small place with little room. Recommended only to protect yourself from the cold of Inverness.

We went there to grab a coffee to-go and sat at a table for about 15 minutes. Then they told us we had to leave because we were no longer considered customers, having ordered to-go. So rude! No matter if you order as sit-in or to-go, you are still a customer.

It’s great, but 6.75 for a croissant with cheese ham and tomato, if there was a price tag on it before ordering, I would have left it but felt like I couldn’t back out of the transaction once it was being bagged up. It was tasty and it has a good atmosphere, I’m happy to spend money, but not 7 pounds on a croissant in Inverness. I wouldn’t spend that in central london. I’ll never go back sorry and want to warn others about that kind of pricing

When in Inverness, you should definitely give XOKO a try! They have an amazing selection of goodies and the menu is super interesting! Everything looked delicious! Their sourdough bread was one of the best we’ve tried and the spicy Korean bowl was so flavourful and filling! The atmosphere was great and the staff friendly and quick even though the place was buzzing. They also have a big selection of different kombuchas and sodas. Definitely going back next time we are in Inverness!

Fantastic Scot-ico fusion of recipes from Scotland and Mexico. The frijoles and coconut pain au chocolate were perfecto.

XOKO is hard to describe. It is more than just a cafe or a bakery, or a Mexican take on these. The food selection is unique (in Inverness, at least!) with lots of interesting stuff to try. I had a lentil dhal that i would highly recommend. The addition of peanuts was a novelty, but a stroke of genius for the flavours generated. If you are used to Mexican food, then XOKO is a very different experience. Highly recommend.

Truly amazing breakfast. Really nice service, and the food was excellent. These guys understand sourdough baking! We bought some pastries to go, for our walk exploring Inverness. Looking forward to sampling the crookie (cookie croissant), and the other nice and playful variants of pastries. Couldn’t have started the day in a better way.

Really friendly staff despite a bustling cafe keeping them busy. Great coffee, I highly recommend trying the whiskey infused beans. The star of the show was the soup though, my goodness the peanut dhal was flavourful and perfect for a rainy day! Enjoyed the vibes of this bakery so much we went back each day for a coffee and to try a new pastry. Just beware the seagulls greedily awaiting outside! One swooped in and swiped my croissant.

Well in Inverness , this should be a stop for breakfast , can't explain in words how delightful I was to discover this coffee house, I'm absolutely not a coffee person and this place is where I would always for coffee and cakes. And our host Òrka ( might be pronouncing wrong) she was brilliant.

Visited here while in Inverness - such a cute little bakehouse in the city centre. It was so hard to decide what to get as everything looked so good! In the end I had the scrambled egg with chorizo on sour dough toast. It was delightful! Me and my girlfriend also shared a coconut pain au chocolate afterwards. It was the best I’ve ever had! The coffee was really good too! Highly recommend this bakery, it’s a must when visiting Inverness!

Coffee wasn’t good. Too much milk and very weak.

For a fair price for central Inverness, me and my husband got one slice each of the cake of the day right before closing. We got everything to go, and the staff were super helpful with some wooden utensils to let us enjoy our cake outside the cafe premises. This is the first place in Scotland I've found me a Chai latte as well give them an extra A+ for drink options. My husband liked the preparation of his double espresso, and the only thing we'd change are the beans used to make the coffee, but that of course is personal preference. Well worth a visit!

Pleasant bakery with some Mexican twist. The cheesecake croissant and the avocado pesto toast were amazing. Great place to have an avocado snack followed by the croissant.

Super cool coffee shop / café / bakery in the heart of Inverness downtown. Really nice people working there, amazing pastries baked right on site (you can even watch the bakers in action), and also savory meals as well. Cool music also, eclectic selection, always at a chill energy level. Came here 3 or 4 times during my week in Inverness. Definitely coming back here next time I'm in town.

First of all, incredible food. the donuts look next leverk but I couldn't not get their sage and onion sausage roll which was divine. Secondly, coffee is great and beautifully presented third, great tunes fourth, friendly staff fifth - opens from 7 am - very tourist friendly Thats five reasons why this gets five gold stars!

For me this cafe has it all, delicious food, good service and warm place, I haven't tried the entire menu, but some beans with chili and for my friend the croissant with cheese, tomato and serrano, it really is its weakness, I need to go for some quesadillas soon.

Delicious espresso, breakfast and lunch! We we're staying in Inverness for 3 days, and we came here for 3 days in a row for breakfast! The baked goods, the breakfast sandwiches and bowls were so flavourful and delicious. Great service and food comes out quick too. I loved the whisky infused coffee.

Up there as one of the top coffee and breakfast places I have ever been to in the world! The pastries were absolutely to die for, we got the Crookie and Rhubarb croissant. We also ordered the chorizo and egg toast which was incredible as well. Coffee was also strong and on point!

Tried the Almond and Tonka croissant which was delicious! They have a great variety of croissants and other breakfast and lunch options too.

The food was delicious. Wonderful bread and pastries. Did not try the coffee, but they had a pretty good matcha latte. Would highly recommend the toffee apple bun—simply divine

I ordered a plant based option at the till. When it came out vegetarian I was told I was my fault for not double checking what the server had rung in. Rude servers and terrible accountability.

We love this place and visit every time we come to town. The only thing I don't like is the till tipp coercion.

We happened upon XOKO strolling down the street after a long journey. We were hungry and tired. We ordered a lot of different items. Savory and sweet. Nothing disappointed. Friendly service.
