Nice vibe but the London prices ruin it a bit

So great to have a vegan cafe in Fort William! We stopped here twice on our journey to and from Skye. Great vegan menu and changing selection of cakes and bakes. Busy, cosy, friendly place and love that they also stock vegan cupboard essentials at the back of the shop.

Lots of choice and delicious food, very nice staff. Only the ambience for eating on site is a bit restless to be comfortable.

Wow, I wasn't even expecting vegan cake, but the choice was amazing. Super friendly staff. I had a lovely bean roll and a steakless pasty the next day. They have a few shelves of wholefoods too. Only improvement would be an air fryer instead of a microwave for heating up. Oh and the WiFi didn't work. Still 5* though!

The soup was ok but not hot the sourdough bread was stale and hard to swallow would have made better toast would nt return disappointing no atmosphere

I only wish there was a coffee shop like this where we live in London, it was that good! Their coffee and hot chocolate were the best I have tasted. We then returned and (drank more coffee and hot chocolate) - but also tried their cake (just yum) and a curried parsnip soup (with sourdough) plus a chickpea curry with flatbreads - all incredibly delicious. This place even has a 'den' for chilling out and an amazing sound-track to listen to as you enjoy their food and drink. This is a place not to be missed and will be one of our first places to visit when we return

Baristas hands have been blessed by God. As a kiwi there aren't many places you can find a descent coffee I. The UK. Wildcat Cafe does a great brew. 10/10 - would caffenate again.

Lovely little spot on the high street. Delicious food and drinks, small shop at the back too selling whole foods and zero waste items. Staff were lovely despite being short staffed and very busy.

I was overjoyed to find this beautiful, fully-vegan cafe in Fort William! The hot chocolate, shortbread and biscoff cake were all delicious and were the perfect treat after doing the Dun Deardail walk. The staff were also welcoming and friendly.

Chilled atmosphere, great food and lovely staff. On a side note, it always makes me laugh reading the 1 star reviews from non-vegans who still insist on having milk stolen from another animal and poured into their coffee and if they don't get to drink the cow "tiddy" juice, they start throwing their toys out the pram and leave a bad review. Seriously, look into the dairy industry and see for yourself how utterly disturbing it is.

We had breakfast (tasty porridge), took away food for lunch, and returned after our hike for cake and tea/coffee. We'd have dinner here if they opened later! Whether you're veg*n or not, you must visit The Wildcat! Everything is wonderful about it - the food, the staff, and the vibe. I loved the eclectic music collection -- it has something for everyone. I even messaged them later for the Spotify playlist name :) If you're in Fort William, make sure you visit The Wildcat!

I didn't like it at all...music sooo loud and the staff quite serious.

So good! I’m not vegan but I do drink oat lattes - theirs is the best I’ve had in Scotland. I also had the daily wrap which was so good! And the pain au chocolat was fabulous. I have never had a vegan pastry that good.

Popped in for breakfast, had a delicious All Day Breakfast sandwich & the best Matcha Latte I’ve ever had! The cakes looked fabulous too. Drinks & food were made with care & came quickly. Will definitely be going back whenever we’re in Fort William.

Do yourself a favor and don't miss this treasure of a coffee shop and eatery. Spectacular food, staff & atmosphere. I wish there were 6 stars.

This place is super cozy and friendly. Me and my friend were getting cold and The Wildcat save us with its hearty hot soup. The interior is really cool as old chairs and wooden elements are used and it gives the place a welcoming ambiance. If I remember correctly, everything is vegan and they also focus on sustainability as the cafe encourages customers to use reusable cups.

Great food selection for this famished traveller! We ordered the toastie, pasty, naan and curry, as well as a couple of different coffees. Everything was well prepared and the young, fun energy was refreshing after a long journey to Fort William. The coffees were great too!

Gluten free options was no problems and the food was nice and service was also good. The staff were all super nice and helpful. The food was fresh and they have amazing options to buy stuff home as well, for vegans and gluten free people. Only "bad" thing is that there is very little space, it gets overcrowded very fast, because it's so popular, so be prepared to wait for a table.

An absolute gem in the abysmal food desert that is Fort William (seriously, the restaurant scene is not strong). We had the most difficult time finding good food in town, and we ended up returning to the Wildcat multiple times. It’s not only vegan but is also just a lovely, friendly atmosphere — every time we went, there was good music playing and the staff were lovely (and often singing along with the music!). Do yourself a favor and just go!

Highlight of my visit to Fort William. I didn't know vegan food could be this good. Definitely recommended the nozarella toastie and the brownies.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Wildcat in Fort William, right next to the teleferico. Though it already boasts an impressive rating of 4.8 from over 900 reviews, I felt compelled to add my own commendation. As someone who prides themselves on being a coffee connoisseur and brewing their own coffee, I was genuinely astonished by the quality of their cappuccino. It is, without a doubt, the best I've ever tasted in the UK. If you find yourself in Fort William, do yourself a favor and stop by The Wildcat for a cup

La nourriture était très bonne ! Mais c'est un petit peu compliqué de s'y retrouver pour commander, entre les cartes qui sont sur les tables et le fait qu'il faut commander au comptoir. On était pas sûre s'il fallait attendre d'être placé ou pas. C'est un petit peu difficile de s'y retrouver au début, et de faire la queue au comptoir au milieu du passage ! Mais le staff est très gentil et la nourriture excellente !

Fantastic little place always busy and we can see why ! If cannot get a seat next best option is take away. Good location on the high street, good seating and a small shop area at the back 👍

This cafe has great atmosphere and nice stuff. We ate there twice just because of the upside down apple cake that was so good, we had to eat it again! Prices are affordable and the coffee was good as well. Would definitely recommend!

An outstanding place and a very lucky find as we were passing by fort William. The sandwich and wraps were excellent. The white americano was the best I’ve had and I’m not exaggerating. Wish they had more seating space but that didn’t deter us from getting takeaways. Well done guys, great place.

Amazing food and a nice vibe! We ate here many times during our stay in Fort William. The vegan sushi is the mest I've ever had since I stopped eating fish. The biscoff brownie was to die for! We took a take away lunch with us for our hine up to Ben Nevis. Absolutely amazing sandwiches and wraps!

Very enjoyable experience, friendly staff, attentive, great atmosphere, great drinks and choice of vegan food including sweet treats, wraps and multiple other baked goods. More options than I thought when walking in. I tried a beetroot latte for the first time and I really enjoyed it! I would definitely come back here again on a future visit.

Coffee was ok but over 3 quid for a 6 oz cup which wasn't even nearly full. And no sachets of sugar. I understand sustainability but they're made of paper. More expensive than Edinburgh!

Vegan restaurant! I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find anything because of how many nuts are used in vegan food— but I did! And it was so good! Our friends got the raw Twix bar and said that was yummy too! Cute little place in Fort William!

We always prefer to support fully-vegan restaurants, and this place was just incredible. We went 3 times in our 2 days in Fort William, once just to get more of the wonderful short bread! It was great food, drinks, and pastries. The service was a tad bit disorganized during busy periods, but the staff were lovely and doing their best when it was hectic. I would pay money to get their short bread recipe (seriously, please reach out to me, I want that recipe). Thanks for the wonderful vegan food in the Highlands, we hope to visit again someday soon. <3

Touring UK from Australia, this is the best coffee we have had. The food was amazing too and the staff lovely. Would come back to Fort William just for this cafe. Can't recommend enough, you won't be disappointed.

האוכל פשוט מעולה. מוגש בצורה יפה ומגרה, ועושה רושם שהפרודוקטים איכותיים וטעימים. כיף למצוא מקומות כאלה, בהם המודעות הסביבתית כל כך גבוהה. קינוחים מהממים שכולם, אבל כולם טבעוניים, נראים מצויין, ומקשים על הבחירה. יש wifi במקום, והעובדים נחמדים ואדיבים מאוד. והכלים, וואוו! כלי ההגשה במבחר צבעים צורות וטקסטורות מוסיפים המון לחוויה.

Un caffè vegano dove mangiare panini, zuppe e dolci. I panini non li ho trovati indimenticabili, mentre i dolci al cioccolato sono buonissimi.

excellent food and Allergen friendly

This was my first time in Fort William and so googling cafe's, this one popped up first. It's an aesthetically-pleasing cafe located on the high street so it gets a lot of footfall. With music playing in the background and people sharing table spaces, it's a very relaxed environment for everyone. There's window seats for the people-watchers and a hidden space labelled as 'The Den' for people who want to take their shoes off and relax in peace. As a lover of coffee, the batch brew they had on (Amaca Women's Co-Op) was amazing and they even sell the ground beans if you love it that much. I tried the special wrap which was curried lentils, cumin slaw, lime pickles and mango chutney - it was also amazing. Unfortunately, I'm only visiting FW but would come back again if I visited the area.

They have very good vegan food. There was a serene atmosphere, quiet, but not because of a lack of people which was nice.

That vegan place in Fort William was a fantastic surprise! I got their special wrap as takeaway, it was a vegan haggis and cheese style, super tasty. I’ll be heading back tomorrow morning on my way to Skye so I can get one of their breakfast options and a matcha!! So thankful for vegan options in the highlands.

Great specialty coffee and vegan dishes. Sadly only one (medium) roast was available when we came in. Still very much worth a visit.

Great vegan only cafe which offer a great selection of cakes. The best vegan place I've been to! It has soup, sandwiches, toasties, and great drinks selection. The den at the back is perfect for a longer chill out! They have a fre shelves with books and vegan items one can buy. If you also want vegan gifts from Scotland-- they have you covered! Vegan Scottish chocolate, soaps, etc. Great atmosphere and the friendliest staff are there! The place is iconic and a must-see site in Fort William. Wildcats are a part if Scottish history and culture. Unfortunately, the wildcat was hunted down and species are almost extinct. The coffee shop is essential in reminding people to protect animals.
